But some of the functionality like Header Multi-Search is not possible using Theme Options, you can use any third-party plugin for it OR it requires Customization.

You do not need to add it in any seperate file, You can put/paste the JS/JQuery code with out <script> and <noscript> tags under Appearance >> Theme Options >> Skin >> JS Code, it will work for you without any issue and if you do not want to use it there then you can put/paste your Code snippets in function.php file under child Theme.

Actually I wanted to add separate JS file to porto-child theme. It will be easy to edit and manage all snippet at one place. Then, Am I unable to use separate JS file in porto theme instead of adding js code to function.php?

You can, but then you have to Customize the Theme core files as well for makeing the compaitability/link with your newly added files and code in Child Theme, So I suggest you to contact our Customization team for this Customization request.

I don’t think that this is biggest customization work to contact your paid customization team. We will have to introduce one or two line code to porto-child theme function.php.
I just found expected option. It is available in Divi child theme. But I don’t know. Is it supported for porto child theme.

Please do not compare Porto WordPress with any other Theme as all the Themes have different coding standards and functionalities, and regarding Child Theme setup, You do not need to create the Child Theme by yourself as described in your link, but using Porto WordPress Theme you can simply generate and use the Child Theme with one click: Please go to Porto >> Setup Wizard >> Child Theme and Click on the Button Create and Use Child Theme your child theme will be created please see this screenshot for the better understanding: http://prntscr.com/jrlqho

Hi there – We’ve been using background videos for our header area on a lot of our pages but sometime within the past couple weeks they stopped displaying for some users / browsers. I can see them in my Google Chrome but I can’t see them if I view them in Safari. I use a Mac. For example, the page below should have a video background behind the text (on desktop only) but it just shows a gray background instead of video when viewed on Mac / Safari.
