I am using styled gallery on my page for example:
https://www.cmsmachine.com/glass-cutting-machines/automatic-glass-cutting-table/It was showing images in its original size and make carousel until the last theme update. Now its shows thumbnail in styled gallery and when I click opens the image in correct size.
Could you please check and help me how I can get it correct again? I want to use image in normal size for styled gallery and when its clicked it should open the image normal again.
When I check the source code of the page I see this is added and I think its come from that. somehow its added svg width height and thegem-post-thumb-small.jpg code

Very upset, how one click turn site upside down complete. it remove the theme and we lost everything. theme was removed on the update of your latest version. not cool at all. we were in a meeting when that happen and it was pretty embarrasing. how is possible a an update do succh a thing.

please accept our apologize for any inconvenience. First: your website is not affected, nothing is deleted, you just need to reinstall TheGem WPBakery version of the theme and you will get your website online immediately.
When you try to switch WPBakery theme version to Elementor theme version, you get this popup: https://prnt.sc/tv9uc7 . Also, in the theme’s main ZIP that you have downloaded, you have a README.txt file with this text: “Please note: both versions are not compatible with each other as each version is optimized for different page builder. no Sir, when updating, it shows theme was removed. and right after I could login bum theme gone. from dashboard. Never happened before in 22 years working on wordpress.. I had to called hosting and restore from yesterday and not just that lost all work done yesterday. one of the worse days
I have submitted a ticker but noone response back so I had to use themeforest. to be honest what a bad moment! I will really need fully attention to it. I am scare to do any update to your theme from now on. and one of the things I loved from that theme was the smooth way to do your theme updates and this happened today.
It sounds really weird, as one theme cannot remove any other theme (or plugin). We also have never experienced something like that. And till now we didn’t get any issues from other customers. We can assure it couldn’t be caused by theme update.

I am waiting on the hosting to restore back up from yesterday from there Very stressful moment. this can not be happening in any theme update. I was the one who click update and everything happen with me in the computer. I can assure you the theme update was what causes this on the some function in your theme update removed the theme.

Hi, I´ve downloaded the last updated version of The Gem and I decided to install the Elementor version. For my sourprise, I cannot find a Child Theme for Elementor anywhere… Ther´s a Child Theme for WP-Bakery, but not for Elementor. Why is this? What am I missing? How do I install the Child Theme for Elementor?

Hi, the child theme is valid for both versions and can be found in Child_Theme folder of the main theme package, as stated in our documentation https://codex-themes.com/thegem/documentation/#downloading-thegem

The problem is that it doesn’t work for me for the Elementor theme. When I upload to WordPress “TheGem_child.zip”, it tells me that “The Theme requires a Parent Theme, check if it’s installed. We couldn’t find the Parent Theme.You have to install the parent theme, thegem, before you install the Child Theme” (I have translated it from spanish).
And then, under the “Themes” tab, under the Themes already installed, it tells me: Themes Damaged. The following themes were installed but are incomplete. TheGem Child. We couldn’t find the Parent Theme. Please, install the main Theme “thegem”.
So that is what I get when uploading it. And obviously, I have the Gem Parent Theme installed, but it´s “TheGem (Elementor)”.
Why does this error pops? This is why I´m writing you, cause I thought this Child Theme was just for the Bakery, and that you missed the Elementor one or something.

Please download TheGem (all files and documentation) from your download category here on themeforest, unzip it, go to “Child_Theme” folder, here you will find “For_TheGem_Elementor” subfolder with the child theme. Please use this child theme

I ve almost finished making the website for my client using your theme with WP Bakery, and I am quite sure my client would use Elementor more easily, but is it worth it to try to switch from WP Bakery to Elementor?
Does it imply a lot of work to migrate my pages which use WP balkey shortcodes to Elementor ?
Will you document the transition for the multiple customer which are probably thinking about it ?
Hi, thank you for your request. WPBakery and Elementor are not compatible with each other. WPBakery uses the shortcode principle, Elementor not. So there are no automation tools to migrate. The only way is to make it manually. The question is how much customization did you make? In case you have used our prebuilt demos and only replaced images and text, so you can recreate it in Elementor very fast.
