Good day. I’m experiencing an issue with the special price of a room. Basically when I set a special price the price is not displayed untill the customer reaches the checkout process. That meas that he is not seeing my special offer but regular price untill the end of the process and that is hurting my conversion rate. In there a way to fix it?

I’m working on an update which will change the booking process, and I’ll certainly bear this in mind, I agree it would be better to show the discount earlier in the checkout process.

I’m still working on the update, and yes I understand it’s taking quite a long time, but it’s a fairly major update so requires a lot of development work. I’m hoping to be fairly close to release in the first quarter of this year though.

I inform you that I have encountered another problem in the seasons, I created the seasons by checking the option to repeat every year but this does not happen I have to recreate the seasons every year I think it is a problem of the theme, you can check. 1.) Yes absolutely, I’m working on a large update at the moment, it’s taking much longer than expected but I can guarantee it’s on the way and will include WooCommerce support, many new features for the booking system, and a new design

1.) Yes it’s possible to set different prices for each guest type such as adult, child, baby, etc. You can also set a minimum and maximum occupancy for each guest type.

Hi there, this is a Presale question – can you change the text referencing ROOM to PROPERTY throughout the booking process for example? I intend to use this for a potential project where it is going to be the rental of 5 different properties opposed to rooms like a hotel would work. As it won’t work on a room basis and has 5 separate properties / dates would the theme be able to handle this? Particularly the search facility aspect
P.S. The demo on mobile isn’t working correctly

1.) Yes you can change the word “room” to “property” no problem, and using the theme to take bookings for “properties” as opposed to “rooms” would also be fine
2.) Regarding the demo website not working on mobile devices, the theme is fully responsive and should work fine on mobile devices. Could you provide more details of what the problem is?

Hello, I discovered that after setting the accommodation and booking calendar, when you try to make a booking using WPML, it says no room available. WPML says it’s a bug on your theme. Could you please fix that bug and publish a release ? Thanks

I tested the availability checker functionality in the latest version of the booking plugin and WPML just now and I can’t replicate the issue you describe, everything is working fine for me, so this is not a bug.

Hi, unfortunately, I can confirm that it is not working with Safari and Edge after upgrade. Test made with WPML in english. French is OK and English is KO. Test is : book a room from the first day to the next and for one person. Best regards

if this is not a bug, it should be documented in a release notes you can refer to for your customers. that’s a fair process. Not pushing to pay at each release.
Hi Nick I found out that the problem in the English version is only happening when you are logged out. If you are logged in it is working ok. Could you just help me with it. I can’t replicate the problems you describe in my installation when testing, it works fine in both languages for me. There is documentation for setting up WPML with Soho Hotel included with the theme, and WPML also has it’s own extensive documentation. But please understand that documentation cannot cover every single small issue unique to different installations, this why myself and also WPML provide support.

hi. yes. i just want the carousel for 2 types of room. now is designed for 3 or more (accomodation carousel 1) because there’s only 2 types of rooms and when i activate it the carousel is like left aligned. take a look at the home page: http://www.temp.quanet-cur.com/ i just want the same carousel but designed for 2 types of room.
I’d recommend using the “Accommodation Listing 1” element, the design is exactly the same as the “Accommodation Carousel 1” element, and you can set the columns to 2, no coding required.

Hi – I just upgraded the theme on staging to 3.2.2 (we had been running on 1.9.5) and working through making the adjustments now that the home page blocks need to be recreated in Visual Composer. However, I cannot seem to update PHP beyond 7.0. ANY other version even 7.1 causes a fatal error on the site. I can’t figure out anything that would cause this other than the theme, and when I roll back to the older version (5.6 or 7.0) everything works fine. I have this on staging – the live site is the old 1.9.5 version which isn’t working for any edits anymore and stuck on 5.6 PHP otherwise it crashes entirely.
I know we need to upgrade the site, but is there a reason we can’t use the most current PHP version and still have a functional site? Happy to renew support if needed – wasn’t sure if this was a question here or for GoDaddy (whom I hate….and is mostly useless). If there are no issues staying with the PHP 7.0 that’s fine for now and we can upgrade to a higher version later on once the staging site is rebuilt and moved to production. Thanks!

The latest version 3.2.2 works fine for me in PHP 7, and should work fine in all PHP versions compatible with WordPress.
Regarding the old version 1.9.5, the reason this stopped working is due to WordPress changing the jQuery version.

This issue is related to the latest update of WordPress, since the jQuery version changed.

Or if you don’t want to extend support to fix this, I suggest you just update to the latest version of the theme since the version you’re currently running is 4 years out of date.

Thank you!! You helped me out after all by pointing me in the right direction, so I succeeded to fix the menu with the old theme version!
I did it with “Test jQuery Updates” plugin for WordPress by The WordPress Team, made for this purpose (problems with old themes and its jQueries). So thank you once again!
P.S. I intend to switch to a new theme after all, since you announce a Woocommerce integration which is great!! To do so, I must do a new WordPress install completely, right?
Yes if you’re running a very old version of the theme like 1.9.8, it’s easier to just create a new installation.

hi there. I love Soho Hotel theme and have had it since 2017. All of a sudden the entire ‘theme option’ editing panel has gone blank. I can see the links on the left side and click on them (e.g., general settings, home settings, and so on) but the main window remains blank. Any thoughts?

i’m curious. the accomodation carousel 1 is aligned for 3 types of rooms. i only have 2 types of rooms and the carousel is still aligned like there’s supposed to be 3. is designed like that? or it can be modified?

Carousels are intended to scroll between many items, if you only have 2 rooms I recommend using a static room listing element and setting it to two columns.
