It’s because your local environment can not access to our servers https://portotheme.com & sw-themes.com
Please try to ping our servers and let us know if it works? If the above addresses are blocked by your hosting provider and your site does not ale to request these addresses then you have to ask your hosting provider to remove the restrictions and solve this for you.
OR
Please enable curl extension form server this will fix your issue. This extension is required for the registration process.
OR
The issue mostly occurs when the server has any kind of restriction and do not allow to communicate your server with our internal server for activation, so please ask your hosting provider to remove all sorts/kinds of restrictions from your account and deactivate the firewalls for some time until you activate the theme.

This is the known issue and already solved by many of the customers using the above-given solutions, and your issue was maybe because of some restrictions, and when it solved by you at that time the restrictions from not there.

Hi. I read that it is compatible with WooCommerce 4.5 & 4.6 but you do not mention it in the changelog (last mention version 5.4.5 (Aug 30th.2020) – Updated: Compatibility with WooCommerce 4.4.1).
Is just an omission? I want to be confident twice before proceeding with an upgrade.

Hi, When we try to Add products to cart after selecting options for variable products it shows the message “Please select some product options before adding this product to your cart”, even after checking variables are properly loaded and configured. We have theme version 5.4.5, we tried to download version 5.5.0 with the Download link but we get again 5.4.5, thanks.

First of all, deactivate all the third-party plugins on your site, and then make sure that your WordPress must be updated to the latest version, If not then update it first and then you have to update the Theme by following this article:

After that update all the Theme required/recommended plugins as well and finally check back your site after removing the browser cache, I am sure you will not finds this issue anymore and after that, you can again activate all of your site third party plugins one by one and check which one is creating an issue on your site.
And also could you please purchase a support extension to get further support? Your 6 months of support period is expired from 03/04/2017. According to the Envato support policy, renewing support is required for further support.

We changed server and updated Wordpress and Woocommerce to the latest versions, Does asking for the latest theme version counts as support? Envato always have latest theme versions available for all users that purchased the theme.

I have translations in wp-content/languages/themes with name porto-sk_SK. Tried also wp-content/themes/porto/languages but result is same. I was look on woocommerce translations but everything is translated. I found every text, to translate and add translations but it doesnt have any effect. I am also download this po and mo files to pc and check and everythink looks fine. old translations is still here, also some of new translations i add have effect. But lot of new translations do nothing…

It seems to be your site Child Theme Customization issue, Can you please activate the Parent Theme and deactivate all the third party plugins and check back after removing the server, site and browser cache, I hope it will solve your issue and if not then please contact us via our support system with your site WP Admin Login details so that we will check it for you.

Updated: the design of Cart, Checkout, Order Complete, Wishlist, Myaccount, and Login pages

I have the same problem as more people here in the comments. After updating to version 5.5.0 my translations are gone (some of them) and I am unable to change them with Loco translate. I see the string, I make the translation, but nothing happens on the website. I flushed the cache, but did not work. It mainly affects some buttons and the customer account menu.
Also, the “My account” menu is now changed to default. I used to be able to hide menu items that were not relevant, like “Downloads”, but that one is back and I don’t know how to turn it off. On the other hand I am not able to put “My Subscriptions” menu item in the customer menu, that used to be there.

And Regarding that Downloads, Maybe you removed it Custom Code, and that code also removed due to an update of the Theme. so you have to check it again.

Update from 5.4.6 to 5.5.0 removed translations (done with WPML) in basket and checkout, also changed layout on this pages.

Item support does not include services to modify or extend the item beyond the original features, style, and functionality described on the item page. For customization services that will help you tailor the item to your specific requirements, we recommend to contact our customization team or hire a developer.

This is because of the old Theme you are using on your site, It is not properly connecting with our internal server activation engine for some reason on your site and you have to update the Theme manually by following the above article, and then you can reactivate the Theme and it will work for you.

Sorry, I meant the pages changed in the new version 5.5.0 (it was reverted back due to that issue), like the navigation menu on the left side on the my account page (Dashboard, orders etc.) as well as those new buttons with icons on the dashboard page with those same names.
Here are two screenshots showing the text that is not translatable (the return to shop text in the empty cart page appears in loco after syncing, but the translation doesn’t work even after clearing cache):
