The theme is managing your website front end and design, while rich snippets and rich results are being managed with SEO plugins if you want to do that. Our support team has investigated the issue on your site. It seems that you can clearly change and choose the sidebar, and it’ll be displayed on the website front end, but it also seems that these changes are not being displayed in the backend. We don’t have such an issue on our demo and on our local installations, and the issue is also tested with your plugins disabled, so it must’ve been some server issue related to the jQuery version, because there are some other strange appearances there as well, such as orange letters inside the module panel.

Generally, you can change and choose the sidebar. You only need to select it and save the changes, but this change will not be displayed inside the module settings.

Our theme is working on locating the problem, and we’ll let you know as soon as we figure the cause of this behavior.

Ok, I did as you suggested and now the featured section works as expected, and the views count is back again. Anyways, the views count has been reset to zero as I suspected (I guess due to the change of plugin). Not a major issue, but it would be useful that we could be warned about this kind of side effects before updating. Thanks.

I’m sorry, but I think that there is some kind of misunderstanding here. You can use Classic Editor if you want to, you can use some page builder(Elementor, Visual Composer, etc), and Gutenberg also has a Classic block feature, so you don’t need to install the Classic Editor plugin if you don’t want to install any more plugins, you can just use one single Classic Editor block, and everything will be pretty much the same as if you’re using Classic Editor plugin:

So, you can choose any option you want pretty much.

I confirmed it, Wordpress 5.6, Herald 2.3.3 which is the recent one, and the modules/pagination fields DO NOT appear correctly when using the classic editor, therefor styling pages is impossible, you cannot make a home page if the module field doesn’t show up right. If you click screen options, and untick modules and pagination, and then retick them, they’ll show up like they should, you can add a section and add some items, but when you click update, the modules/pagination sections will disappear again. If you view the homage page, nothing shows up.

This is on a fresh wordpress install with just your template and no other plugins, I also tried both php 7.3 and 7.4 and it does the same thing. Firefox and Chrome do the same thing. I uninstalled wordpress and reinstalled it with just your template, same result. That leads me to believe your template is incompatible with the classic editor plugin because when using the classic editor plugin the module/pagination sections do not appear, making home page design impossible.

Thanks for the reply. There is no problem at all in posts pages, the H1 is the title as it should be, but there are other issues regarding the homepage.I can see the header logo is H1, but turns out it shows an empty heading in the crawling (you can check it in my website https://factor3d.com by using the SEO Meta in 1 click extension) Is there a way to fix that? Other than that, I see every post in the homepage is H2, to me it would best to have them as a normal paragraph so the crawling shows the headings for title as H1 and modules as H2. Also the top ribbon with the latest posts are H4, I would prefer them as paragraph. For that reason, I think it would be perfect to have a setting in each module for changing the heading tag for a customized one (like letting you choose showing the content in a particular module as h1, h2, h3, paragraph…) Can I suggest updating the theme to implement that feature? That would hugely improve the crawlability and SEO of any site running this theme.

Well, we already have that kind of widget. If you navigate to your Appearance > Widgets, you’ll see the Herald Posts widget. You can choose to display posts by category, tag, date, or format selection.

We also have the Related posts section, and it will appear below the content if you turn it on in Theme Options > Single Post > Extras > Related posts.

Hi. Yes, I´m aware there is the related posts at the bottom. What I mean is about the rule followed for those related posts to appear. You can arrange them by date, category, etc. But in SEO terms, the internal linking of a site lets the “linkjuice” or url authority flow throughout the whole page, benefiting the google crawling and positioning/indexing of the whole page. The general idea under the internal linking is having the “juicy” urls passing authority (by linking) to less “juicy” urls. You can have an understanding of this technique in this link: https://ahrefs.com/blog/internal-links-for-seo/ As a quick fix for this, I would say it should be a good idea having the option of showing the less popular related posts in the sidebar/bottom widget (so, urls with less traffic can get authority from stronger urls, balancing the overall authority of the site, and benefiting the crawling, indexing and SEO). Can I suggest adding the “less popular posts” in the widget filter?

Making new tests I figured that after saving the configuration of my module the configuration restores to default.That need to be fixed ASAP.
