It says you can embed player, so yes you can use muse.ai embed code in units under the “raw HTML ”. The inbuilt player supports YouTube , Vimeo, mp4, webm,ogv and encrypted video formats like hls, dash

In the theme features, there are “custom widgets” (e.g. site stats, BP course instructor) and then “widgets to pay for” (e.g. mailchimp integration. I just want to make sure that those custom widgets are not additionally charged, that its included in the theme.
Then I like the “Wplms. Social. University” theme, but I’m unsure if I can have sub pages with category courses, so that a student can have a dropdown with catgeories and then when they click on it they will have a list of courses within that category. That theme doesn’t show that. It feels there are a few bugs in navigation on this theme to courses and then away from them to search for others. Id this because I cannot see the whole theme, or is this a know issue with this theme?
Is there a SiteWide gradebook for the learner to see all his completed courses and awarded badges?
1. You can use regular mailchimsp WP plugin, the WPLMS version of mailchimp creates custom tags and groups.

Yes, you can now cache videos in the service worker itself, currently static list of videos can be cached. The Player is a custom player capable of supporting encrypted video formats and youtube & vimeo as well.
Support, Thank you. Last time we spoke you said the cache size is limited for video. Have you’ve improved on it and now downloaded/offline encrypted video is not fully operational regardless of the size ? If that’s so then we’ll just use your app..

) REMOTE URL MODE – in this mode, everything HAS to be online, and it will display the offline screen when the user is offline. On Android, WebGold can display a cached version if you set CLEAR_CACHE_ON_STARTUP to false.
2) LOCAL HTML MODE – WebGold will access a local, embedded HTML file in this mode. This will work online AND offline, and while being online, the HTML file can load any cookies/local storage elements/AJAX requests. If you use a Progressive Web App as a basis, you can use the standard caching mechanisms.
3) FALLBACK MODE – WebGold offers a fallback mode that uses an HTML folder if the user is offline, and uses a remote URL he/she is online.
I would suggest using mode 3 for your use case

It’s impossible to use offline video storage for online mode because HTTP/HTTPS sites are not allowed to access LOCALHOST content (but LOCALHOST is allowed to access HTTP/HTTPS content). This time we’re using a different technology and there is no limit to the cache. Further, we have the capability to add exportable course, which means you can export the course with all its resources and play anywhere.

Also I’m trying to understand what you meant by export the course and play it anywhere? Do you mean use it on another website /LMS? Do you have an explainer video showing this, please send.
Keep in mind my overall objective for the questions is to ask if viewing video offline is now possible, having no cached limits etc with DRM or encryption for copy right purposes.

Yes, WPLMS much like any other course authoring platform tool (Storyline or Captivate), you will be able to export the course completely with all its resources and share it with the students. The resources are obfuscated (not encrypted) so you’ll need to login to the WPLMS remotely to access the resources. The logging in and recording of activities happens via API calls.
support this is all good news! please direct me to videos showing how this is done. However I’m still at bit confused as to if your systems now fully support offline playback of video. A simple yes or no will be great.
And as you know I’ve been behind this feature for years and the reason may follow bulk licenses if this works out.

1. Yes, in the upcoming wplms_plugin update you will be able to locate this : https://prnt.sc/11bad9h , which will save the offline content right within the app itself and only the app can play it.
2. The PWA works same for web and app.
3. Full video download is also possible but it will be available with our exportable courses feature.
Support, I believe you’ve misunderstood question 1-2 or my explanation was horrible. So if you dont mind i will try again using a scenario. However your answer did reveal some exciting news as well, for which i need to inquire about: If i understood you correctly, though visually you showed a screen shot of instructor view not student, students will be able to download their courses and play offline only from within the app via download icon as shown here, https://prnt.sc/11bad9h. Correct?
Readdressing previous questions using a scenario:
1. A teacher has a physical(not virtual) class in front of her. Before starting the class the teacher takes out a phone and mount it pointed to the black board and begin recording the classes. Now for a more detail insight into my question and action teacher will take, please be guided by following steps:
A. Teacher open WPLMS
B. Teacher accesses phones Camera from WPLMS
C. Camera is now active, teacher press on record, start recording class from start to finish.
D. Teacher stops recording video at the end of the class.
E. Teacher name and saves the video within the WPLMS app storage or directory.
Question 1: *Is this video already trans-coded for mobile since it was recorded from mobile device?
F. During course creation for that days course(English for eg), teacher is able to access the recorded video stored on her phone, within the WPLMS app, or access it from a chosen directory on phone, then uploads it to WPLMS library and from there into a course.
Question 2: *Given the above scenario i was asking if WPLMS functional workflow operates this way or if not is their a work around using for eg zoom, Jitsi etc. If not is this something that could be implemented using your customization services?

Support, thank you for the video. However this is not the workflow i was referring too. Unless its possible doing it differently using the same plugin.
As i referred in the example’ teacher takes out a phone and mount it pointed towards the ‘physical blackboard’ and begin recording’. It’s not to record instructor screen but to record a live class room, no different to recording fun moment with your phone camera.
I dont know how else to explains this to you, i mean its pretty straight forward workflow.
Please advise if this is possible.

We have the plugin ready with Camera access enabled, currently we’re adding capability to combine / break recorded videos for simple video editing experience.
This sounds great! If i understood you correctly you are saying an upcoming added benefit to access to camera+ record is the ability to stitch videos together and or break long videos into sizable chunks maybe for ease of upload/download in times of bandwidth constrains and server capacity etc? Will this editing capability use server or client side resources? Please advise.
The video recorder & editor runs on client side, post video processing the video is uploaded to the server.

I'm confused as per your answer of running editor on client side with a PWA app.I'm of the thought that PWA apps for this type functionality may require computing resources from server side. Or is it totally decoupled from server and dependent on client resource using a PWA app?. I dont understand what am i missing here? And when do you expect to have the editor ready for release?Yes this is the power of pwa. The computing happens in the browser. I will share a video showing we make a hit to the server only to upload the generated video.

Apologies for delayed response. Not yet, the offline video cache is however inbuilt in our upcoming update releasing in next couple days. The video editor has a distinct advantage with our offline course as it creates a streaming video from recordings but we are stuck at converting recording into a m3u8 track which is it isn’t live yet, we have an alternate to convert recorded video into a playlist which we’ll share with you once it is live.

How about the video editor feature for allowing instructor recorded video from within the WPLMS app, to be edited or sliced into smaller data sizes and transcoded for upload via instructor wplms app.

Question is can I allow multiple people to subscribe individually and for example as an institution while letting a college for example show all their teachers and courses each teacher provides? If now and this was designed only for one person to do online instruction = I’ll skip. Other question is can I make this searchable so, for example someone in Chicago can see whose available teaching guitar lessons online and therefore can pick a date for a group or individual instructions.
1. Yes this requires out WPLMS Batches. A Batch is a group of users with Administrator, moderators and students. A batch has its own profile, wherein you can show included courses, included instructors. Other features like Batch calendar, Batch sharing drive are also available.
2. Currently only instructors can be booked via calendar. You can create various batches and batch has the start date property as well which can be used to create a search by batch function as a customisation as well.
So, if I’m following you. I buy the plug in and then other people sign up and start their courses individually or part of a group. As to getting paid = the person buys a subscription and then if anyone buys one of their courses = they pay the person via PayPal and I get nothing unless I wish to do commissions.
Yes, so, you can create a registration form where the user can select a batch. If the batch is connected to multiple courses, the user who signup in the batch gets enrolled in those courses automatically.
No, all payments are captured in administrator’s account. If users signup, all payments are in your account and you have to calculate instructor commissions (inbuilt payouts) and make the payment to your instructors.
What I’m asking specifically is can someone register on my site and create their own courses and let their teachers/instructors be part of that group while the general public finds them and enrolls in one of their courses? I get the admin part now as to how payments are disbursed and that may turn me away from this since be nice to just have a subscription model and then whatever monies an instructor or school makes = I’m not doing payment schedules.
Yes this is totally possible. We have this feature called “buy batch” . A user can create an institution in your site. Add instructors and students in his batch. Those instructors can create courses.and he can view statistics and progress reports of those users in the batch itself.
Thanks. Think you have an appointment module as well. If not at minimum the ability to add an extra URL field so one can book an appointment let’s say back to a college’s website. Besides education, I can see this theme being used for meet-up groups. I probably will buy it in April. Already supports Zoom for one and hopefully, would be nice for the instructors to link maybe a Facebook live page as extra streaming options. Will all that said with the plug-ins = I’m probably looking at $120 to $150 with the theme.

Cool, what is the cost of that add-on? Take it one doesn’t need the Woocommerce bookings either which is good. Matter of taking a percentage of each booking as to how your theme works as to the site owner making money and of course ad/banner revenue. So, once that’s configured as to bookings = any instruction/institute could use the appointments provided I allow it via the admin side of Wordpress? Thinking of buying this theme for a future consideration. Possibly I can see this being used for meet-up groups in my area as well, but making it a non education/instruction theme – i.e. Chicago Culinary Group Meet-up and then the admin or group members list their meetups and use well, the appointment add on as well. Very nice what your firm did with the software.

Not exactly, you do not need to provide then with WP Admin at all. The whole booking process works in the front end. You can use inbuilt Groups feature with Calendar for Meetups as well.

Hi, I think I should have said “no” in the first place. EventOn is a plugin from 2012 using jquery from 200x. and it will not work in 202x without making substantial changes in its core. Unfortunately, we do not own the plugin and we can not help you in upgrading third party plugin. Thank you for the rating.

1. We need to make a website with video courses that are sold by subscription. The videos courses will be in different subscription packages. If client pays for a package they have access to all courses in that package for a specific time like 1 year. At the end of time, access to purchased subscription is closed or the client renews the subscription. Is it possible to implement this concept on your template?
2. Is it possible to sell courses ONLY via a subscription package and not sell the course directly? Meaning a course will not have a price only the subscription package. Student cant buy a course
