Guys, your theme is excellent but support for custom post types is very very poor – almost non exists.
- Custom post types are not included in the search results.
- Custom post types are not supported by breadcrumbs funcionality.
- Custom post types metadata are not supported by all JNews beautiful post grids.
- Custom post types are not supported by Paywall funcionality. ...
For someone who handles different types of posts like me, Jnews has very very limited funcionality.
Any chance to make custom post types support like normal post type it in the near future?
P.S. I’m asking now because I don’t know if my next big project should be done in JNews or not. If you have any ETA for this, thats OK but if not I would like to know. Thanks

Yes, unfortunately we don’t have all the features that you mention above. For now you may need to do custom changes to achieve that. At the moment, we can’t promise we will adding this feature into our next theme update. If we got more request from other clients, we will consider this thing.

Currently, we already have several notes for custom post types support requests on our feature roadmap. We listen to and care about our client’s requests. For example, we include support custom post type on our JNews Block Module elements which was requested by our clients too, but for certain block feature may be not available due to technical reasons.
We still consider with our team about the request that related to custom post type since custom post types need really flexible functionality because custom post types can be anything and can have unique features. We also consider this feature for our clients.
If you need this feature urgently, I recommend you to do some custom changes to achieve that. We also provide custom changes service, if you are interested, you can check this page https://bit.ly/3tTvKIX

If you mean for the single post page, it’s possible by using custom post template. In this case, you can add the Social Icon and Social Counter widget to the post template.

I put an image in the background and set a URL to use it as a ‘site skin advert’... but the ‘click zone’ doesn’t happen until near the bottom of the page. Very strange. Background: Changed correctly and shows the right image. Set advert URL: Also works – clickable and goes to the right place. Clickable Area: Starts around 1,300 pixels down the page. Click in the first 1,300 pixels – nothing – the cursor is an arrow. Click just after 1,300 pixels down the page – works fine.
Any idea why?

Really love the theme but after an update Font Awesome no longer works I’m missing a lot of icons even though some seem to still work.
Having to pay 40$ to get support feels very steep for something that just doesn’t work :/

Thank you for responding – The site URL is https://bareos3.dk/ – Its mainly the calendar icons for the posts and suddenly icons like the “Facebook” Social icon in the top is also missing but the others are still present.

Regarding this thing, please try to go WP Dashboard > Elementor > Settings > Advanced tab > Load Font Awesome 4 Support > select No.
If the problem still persist you can try to add this CSS code below to the Customize > Additional CSS:

Hi, when I add new posts, they are not visible in the front page or in the category, as if it was cache enabled. But cache is not enabled. If I create a new page and add a regular Elementor posts widget, the new posts are visible (date DESC sorting). And in edit mode, when adding the Elementor posts widget, also the Jnews widget updates and shows the newest posts. But not in frontend. It’s like the WP query was disturbed in some way, and adding the Elementor posts widgets temporarily resets the Query, but doesn’t updated front end.
Also, inside Customizer – Optimize Assets: If I enable it, the customizer show the newest posts. Also if I disable it. Any change here makes new post visible (and the layout template also changed to another one…), but only in preview. Visiting the site normally (logged in or not) the new posts are still not at top. Looking forward for a solution, thank you.

Had purchased the theme quite sometime back but have started using same on a project now. My support had expired without using same. Quite a lot of modules are not loading in Gutenberg editor. Module 8,9,11,14,15,18 and lot more give error loading blocks. Any solution? Do not want to use Elementor or WP Bakery Page builders as they slow the site speed scores substantially.

JNews is propably most complete publishing theme. Congratulations!
However is there a chance to implement little more extended comment system so that users of JNews can opt out of WPDiscuz entirely?
I mean, first of all, the possibility of adding a photo to the comment…
This would greatly expand the attractiveness of the discussion and most complete publishing theme will be even much more complete

It seems you need to do some changes to achieve that. Currently, we only provide Facebook, Disqus, and default WP comment systems.
I think you can try to use the Disqus comment system.

Hi, anytime we publish a new articles in only shows the html tags instead of the clean easy to read article. This happens on some phones and some computers and not on others. I tried updating the theme by downloading a new theme and installing it but that didn’t work. 1. How do i update the theme otherwise? 2. How do I work around the backend html text and tags showing on the front end when the article is published?
