Even as we do understand the frustration, we do believe the you should have at least considered updating the theme before leaving a negative review. Moreso, we are always here support you and we would have resolved your issue instantly by performing a theme update.

Thanks for the response. I know it doesn’t exist anymore, but between 2 versions from March 30th to May 20th it did exist. We happened to update to version 2.13.7 in early April and for various reasons didn’t spot the issue for some time. So I know that a recent theme update fixes it, but it was out in the wild for around 50 days. Regardless of any quick response (fixing it instantly?), fixed theme version etc, we can not simply go back and change anything about the site being set to no-index for weeks on end and losing a lot of traffic & revenue. I am frustrated yes – the reason I gave you a 1-star review was to reflect the fact I am amazed this even happened. Once discovered an update email with a big “URGENT!” and an apology should have gone out. That’s what I’d have done in this situation.
It is a paid theme that when using a version that was current for 50 days, de-indexes websites. I am very surprised that you guys and other customer don’t appreciate the gravity of this. But we’ll be migrating away at the earliest opportunity as can’t risk it happening again.

hello, thank you for making this wonderful directory made available – we have some questions and are very interested to make the purchase. we want to use this as a ‘searchable’ director’ based on keywords and industries, is this possible. Also when some is conducting a search – we would like to them to submit their ‘details’ for reserving or booking with us – is it possible to do that? – also we may use ‘multi-keywords’ based search sections – is it possible? — and finally is there an example we can see for what we are asking for? thank you so much

With respect to your query here, yes you can make the searchable feature based on keywords whereas for industries you can search them as taxonomies.
When one is making a search, the theme can not hide the search details, users only enter their details while submitting their listings. The the supports search based on keywords, not sure what you mean by multi keywords but it can also take numerous keywords.

1. Can be used location field 2 times for searching / post listings? To search between 2 locations? E.g Paris to London. Results to be the listings that have been added on the same way? We want to use Lisitfy theme as directory for transports, so to search listings between 2 locations.

The search within the homepage is used to search the listings only. If you need a search for the blog posts then you can use the blog section page instead. There is already a search functionality there. The Field editor plugin will only work to add extra fields to your listings. -

We currently do not have the ability to use Open Street Maps. Google auto location can be disabled but within the Extended location plugin settings. The auto complete feature is within the theme and disabling that would require custom work. -

You can only set the account role in the listings submission page where you can select just a single role to be used while submitting the listings. You can as well use WooCommerce registration to assign a customer role. -

What you are talking about here sounds like versa of what we do in the theme. In the theme we use the listing payments plugin to limit users who are adding listings to the site. We do not have a way to limit employer to view the individual listings but this should be achieved using other third party plugins. -

Adding of custom fields should be done by WP field editor plugin. -

Our theme is widget based and you can add html code using widgets in any section of the theme. -

Yes you can disable maps on the listings results page and usually its a template based on a short code.

how can I add the hero widget with the search bar to a normal page. It looks like when I use the Page: Home template, it is already incorporated there but it doesn’t work with a plugin I have for events (Events Calendar) . The issue is that it doesn’t display the events like it would normally display it on a normal page template. I would like to add the events on the home page and keep the Listify hero search bar.

With respect to your query here, the search bar requires the home template. Changing it to display your events would require to change the widgets of the Homepage template. Else if you need to individually change that for a specific page then that would be something that requires custom work to achieve.

I am aware the search filter is visible on the hero image which is also only on the homepage. When I add the events calendar widget on the homepage is also visible however the styling of the widget is off, it doesnt show how it would normally show on a normal page. Would you be able to help me with it if I renew the support? Or do I need to pay extra for custom coding? Instead of using google maps can open street map be used ?

With respect to your query here, right now we do not have the ability to use Open Street Maps. As for changing Google maps to use open street map, would require more advanced modifications to replace Google Maps. This would need to be done by you at this time. So it is possible, but we only recommend implementing open street map if you are comfortable with code.

What about at least updating the auxiliary plugins like the favourites plugin to be compatible with the latest wordpress???

When creating a listing, if you accidentally omit the description, it says “Please Fill Job Description!!” from the Job Manager plugin. Is there a fix for it to make it say “Please Fill in the Description?”

3.. Is there a way to customize the business information page? I see the banner, website information, description, etc. If I would like to add another new section for the business owner, is there an option for it?
4.. Can I use a website builder such as elementor or divi to customize the design?

For this you will need the elementify plugin to integrate the theme with elementor but it can only happen on static pages..

With respect to your query here, You can export content, including listings from the default WordPress tools. From the Tools menu go to ‘Export’ to get an XML file of listing content. You can also use a plugin to export content if you wish. Moreso when it comes to importation, you can upload a list of listings either with a CSV or XML file using the WP All Import plugin.
