Yes, you do need to deactivate and delete the Core plugin which will give you a notification to install it once again. Once this is done, the latest version of the plugin that comes along with the theme update will be installed.

You don’t have to install plugins which you don’t want to use, however it’s important that you update Academist Core plugin when the theme is updated. To update it please navigate to Appearance > Install Plugins and hit “Update” under the plugin name.

This function is nowhere defined and thats why is the if conditions causing trobles. Removing the condition fixes the problem, but it would be sad if it comes with next update back… Is there any better solution to prevent the bug ?

Please check if you updated your theme according to our tutorial here, this usually appears if you forgot to update the Academist Core plugin, as well as check if your purchase code is registered in our Qode Dashboard.

Most of our themes work with buddyPress, because it’s very independent plugin that requires no additional hooks or special functions, so it should work really fine. Perhaps you’ll need to style your forum manually to match theme appearance, however, all basic functionalities should work fine.

However do understand that we cannot guaranty theme compatibility with WP Events Manager since it has not been tested with the theme.

When it comes to customizing colors, first you should set the “First Main Color” in theme options > general. For customizability reasons most elements like header, footer, fonts, buttons have separate color options which can be set individually.

All course purchases are going through WooCommerce payment system, so this isn’t possible by default for our theme. You can set Free course and require user to register before purchasing, which is somehow workaround for what you want to achieve. You could also add the contact form button within the course single sidebar or edit the theme files in order to achieve this as there is no option within the theme to set this.

The theme is compatible with WooCommerce so you can add courses as variable virtual products. Regular courses cannot have variable prices so you would need to add these courses as variable products. The theme also includes membership plugin for registration/login and this is integrated with LMS plugin so in user’s dashboard all courses the client buy will be listed ( please see screenshot ). This will apply only for courses, unfortunately, regular woocommerce products cannot be listed here.

Could you please explain in more detail what kind of email confirmation do you need and when and to whom it should be sent so we can give you more precise answer?
