Is the latest version of Bodega (3.3) compatible with Wordpress 5.9.x?

Dear Bodega-Team,
We installed the current version of the bodega theme and updated wordpress to 5.8.2 and we are currently dealing with the following issue, when we want to edit the widgets (design->widgets).

The wordpress page is showing that there is a critical error and we can’t edit anything.
The logs also show following warnings and deprecations:
PHP Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/bodega/css/style_dynamic_callback.php on line 1129 add_to_cart_fragments is deprecated since version 3.0.0! Use woocommerce_add_to_cart_fragments instead. The woocommerce_price function is deprecated since version 3.0. Replace with wc_price. The WC_Product::get_price_excluding_tax function is deprecated since version 3.0. Replace with wc_get_price_excluding_tax. add_to_cart_fragments is deprecated since version 3.0.0! Use woocommerce_add_to_cart_fragments instead.

Please check if you’ve also updated bundled plugins to latest versions listed in change log.
After you update theme all of the bundled plugins with available update should be listed in Appearance > Install Plugins. To update theme and bundled plugins please follow instructions from this article – How To Update A WordPress Theme And Plugins.

Hi, I am trying to display a sidebar on the category and tag pages. In the option (BLOG), I have selected: Sidebar 1/4 left for” Archive and Category Sidebar”, but there is no sidebar appearing on those pages. Hi. I’m having some issues using input “datapickers” in this template. Currently using a booking plugin, “Advanced Booking Calendar”, and i can’t manage it to put it work properly, click in the input have noi action and the window to select the date simple don’t show. If i change the theme the inputs works as normal. This is some issue you know about? Hope i hear some feedback. Thank you

Can you please either provide an update to the theme which is compatible with Wordpress 5.8.x, or if there is no theme update then just test the theme compatibility with Wordpress 5.8.x and advise whether it is compatible. It has been 3 months since I last asked about compatibility with Wordpress 5.8.x, this is plenty of time to check whether it is compatible.

We don’t have any ETA when this update will come out, however you can try using this plugin as a temporary solution if you run into issues with widgets on the latest WordPress version. WordPress 5.8 introduced block based widgets and this plugin reverts widgets back to classic.

How is the compatibility towards Wordpress 5.8 and WooCommerce > 5.5.X

We haven’t tested Bodega with WP 5.8 yet. You can try it yourself, but we suggest waiting until we release an official update.
Regarding WooCommerce, the last version tested with our theme is 4.6.1. You can try using a newer version to see if everything works fine, but if it doesn’t, we suggest to keep using version 4.6.1 until we release an update.

Hi, the Bodega 3.2 theme is using LayerSlider 6.11.2 but the latest version is 6.11.8 – is this version compatible with the theme? Also, WPBakery version is currently using 6.4.1 but version 6.6.0 is available for update – is 6.6.0 compatible with Bodega 3.2?

Hi, the Select Slider doesn’t allow lazy-loading of images to be used on the site. When lazy-loading of images is turned on the images in the slides don’t appear at all. Currently the entire site has to have lazy load of images off which affects performance. Is there a fix for this coming in the near future?

Upgraded from 3.02 to 3.2 however the popular Checkout Field Editor (Checkout Manager) for WooCommerce By ThemeHigh does not work properly, have downgraded theme as I need to be able to edit checkout options.

I looked in the function.php and index.php to find the read more button text but no luck. I just need to change the button to read “Enter Auction” instead of “read more”

You might get this message though but it will not affect the performance of the theme as well as it will be added in the theme’s changelog once the update is out.
