Hello, I got this message just now on my admin dashboard:

Porto notice: Your access is temporarily blocked because of connection limit to API server. Please contact us from Porto support to unblock it.

I need you to help resolve this. It will be of importance to note that my support for the theme is expired. This happened long after support expiration. I have had this theme for over a year now.

Hi Team, I am currently on Porto Version 6.1.3, and with the new update, it’s refusing for me to update. Error “Update failed: Purchase Code is not valid or could not connect to the API server! If possible can you write another article with a step-by-step guide?

That article is pretty simple and clear enough, you have to create a support account on our support system: http://portotheme.com/support and then you have to go to the License Reset page here: https://www.portotheme.com/support/reset-sites/ and reset your license from there, after that, you have to go to Porto >> Dashboard and reactivate the Theme from there again with same purchase code, and then try to update the Theme, I am sure you will not finds this issue anymore.

Thank you, it worked I just had to deregister and re-register again using the same code. I could not find the on this page https://www.portotheme.com/support/reset-sites/ there is no button or option that says reset license, there is only unregister. I hope I did this correctly.

If that Catalog Mode has turned OFF already then no need to turn it ON, so please turn OFF the catalog Mode again, and try to check it by activating the default Theme like Twenty Twenty one, that, how it works with the default Theme, If the issue will persist then it means the issue is not from our Theme and you have to contact the WooCommerce support for it, and if the issue will be solved with activating the default Theme of the WordPress, then please contact us via our support system with your site WP-Admin Login details so that our experts will check it for you and help you out.

Both have their own functionalities and features, you have to read the docs of both the plugins, and if you want to know my personal openion, then I would recommended to use WCFM MultiVendor plugin, because I have used it for my personal work many times and it has extra ordinary features you would love :)

I’ve installed the most recent porto update today (10 August) and my site is now hanging… I’ve disabled all plugins and the one that is causing the issue is Porto Theme – Functionality

In the plugin list I see: Porto notice: cURL error 6: getaddrinfo() thread failed to start

Have other people found this problem and do you know if there’s a solution?

There is no such issue with our latest Theme, the issue is only on your site, please contact your hosting provider and ask to run the backup for you on your site and then follow the below listed instructions to update the Theme on your site again, hope you will not finds this issue anymore.

Here is the recommended way of Automatic update from us:

1. Take the complete backup of your site before updating the Theme for avoiding any inconvenience.
2. Deactivate all the third-party plugins before updating the Theme.
3. Take a Backup of your Custom Code and remove it from the site before an update of the Theme.
4. If you are using a Child Theme then Activate the Parent-Theme before updating the Theme.
5. Remove all the cache from your server, site and finally check back your site after removing the browser cache and check deeply what are the changes that occur on your site after that...
6. After that go to Appearance >> Themes and update the Theme One-Click automatically from there.
7. After that go to Appearance >> Install Plugins and update the Theme required/recommended plugins from there one by one.
8. After that check back your site after removing the browser cache and check deeply what are changes occur on your site after that and if all goes well then.
9. You have to again Activate the Child Theme.
10. Again activate all the third-party plugins one by one.

Finally, check back your site after removing the browser cache.

Thanks for sharing the suggestion/feature request with us, I am forwarding this to our development department for considering adding it in the theme, but I am not giving you the guarantee for that because please note that a theme cannot satisfy all requirements as it may occur theme heaviness. Sometimes it may require your own customization. So if the development department finds it fit with the theme environment then surely they will look through it.

I noticed I have wpbakery page builder as well as visual composer installed. I do not remember installing both, but it probably happened sometime when I updated the theme…at least this is my hunch. Now I would like to know if I can delete one of these? I probably don’t need both. What would be the easiest way to check/solve this?

First of all, please note that, you can only use the single plugin on the single site at the single time otherwise both will conflict with each other.

Now, as you have used 2 page builders on the same site and I don’t know how may portions/parts you have made from single plugin and rest with other plugin, so if you simply deactivate the single plugin it might detroy your site, so the best possible option is to reset your WordPress and start from scratch with the single plugin…

If you are using the very latest version of the Theme, then please go to Appearance >> Install Plugins and update the plugins from there, one by one, it will work for you.

The site is Slow Loading and when clicked on the product it takes time to recognise click and open a new page I have tried older version 3.6 and that works perfectly as I have updated to the latest version and it should be faster but it’s not I think the theme itself is heavy and more complexed than it should be when I updated the new version Porto blocks have gone away and I am using litespeed server and using litespeed cheche plugin as well you can try it out yourself when you click on the product it takes time to initiate the request and open a new page https://www.aymbh.com/ the page should start opening as soon as I click on the link but it is not Please try it yourself

For the Site Speed: We are sorry that you faced some problems working with our theme. But our theme is one of the most optimized on the market. In general, our theme is already optimized and don’t have too many resources to make your website slow. Most likely, your website performance suffers from the content you have added to your website. It may happen in case of too many plugins, large not optimized images or other resources. So we suggest you to remove unnecessary plugins, install some kind of JS & CSS optimizing plugins like Better WordPress Minify and a caching plugin like WP Super Cache or use WP Rocket for both tasks. Also, you can use GTmetrix tool to see what makes your website slow and optimize these parts of your website.

I have tested your site on GTMatrix and here is the result: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.aymbh.com/NQlKohnB/ you can see that your site is slow because of your server response time, because of the DOM size also from the server, because of network and because of the images are not compressed and because of the JS and CSS have not been minified…

The traffic depends on a lot of different factors and not our theme only.

Porto has optimized HTML, combined JS scripts, minified CSS, has style.css generator, conforms all the coding standards from WordPress (and it is checked and confirmed by Envato reviewers while uploading our theme to the market). We are always working on improving our theme’s speed and listen to all our customers’ reports. We release updates every 3-5 weeks so if any performance problems are reported they will be fixed asap.

Hello! Thank you for a great theme! I like Porto so much I’ve purchased or recommended the purchase of the theme 11 times. With that said, when staging a new or updated version of a website, I would typically deactivate the purchase code on the live site and activate the purchase code on the staging site. Unfortunately, with 11 purchase codes I manage, I am only able to reset one purchase code while using the Porto Support Forum. I have found no way to list multiple licenses under the same email account.

Is there a way to reset multiple purchase codes?

Thanks for your love for Porto, I am sorry to say that but no this is not possible, If you have purchased 11 licenses under different Envato accounts, then you have to use 11 different accounts for resetting your 11 purchase codes, this is the only possible way.

“Purchase Code is not valid or could not connect to the API server! Please try again later”. I keep getting this on nayavita.com/yoga url when I try to update to the latest Theme Version.

I have another website nayavita.com, where the update happens without problems.

The purchase code is definitely active and OK so not sure what the problem is.
