The footer and widgets disappeared after the update
Hi
It is a bit disappointing that your forums are now blocked to expired license users. Asking for $80/year for support is quite steep in my opinion, mainly because 90% of the problems are bugs caused by your own updates.
Every single update that we are doing recently (at least for the past 6-8 months) have serious problems. The latest update (4.8.6.4) has just broke the logo are on mobile devices (it is huge).
I would be happy to pay for support to continue to access your support forum, but not for the asking price. I hope you guys can revise this to continue to get support from long-time users like me and many others.
Is is possible to add the catalog into a tab element???

I am an Enfold user (and also fan) since 2016. Over the years I have made my customers buy dozens of licenses for this theme.
It is a real pity that you have blocked the forum for those who have expired support.
First of all because requests for help are almost always requested for malfunctions of the new versions. During these years we have had several problems after the updates (do you remember all the problems we had updating to WP 5.6? We were forced to use jQuery Migrate Helper which generated a lot of warnings!). If there are bugs in the next update, who should we write to? Who do you think will report bugs? Newbees or customers with years of experience?
And then we who have experience do not just report bugs but also look for solutions and help you improve yours.

The latest update causes a critical error, putting the site in recovery mode: Uncaught ValueError: Unknown format specifier “S”.
I switched back from PHP 8.0 to PHP version 7.4, which resolved it. But there is some kind of bug.

We have tested the theme with PHP 8.0 and I have just tested once again on my local installation however I could not reproduce the issue.
Could you please create a testing site, de-activate all active plugins, upgrade PHP to 8.0 and Enfold to 4.8.6.3 and check if that helps? You can activate the plugins one by one to find the culprit. Also, have you modified any theme files on a child theme? If you have, please activate parent theme and then update the theme. Issue might be related to modified files on your child theme.

I bought this theme in Jan. 2020. Okay, thats some time ago, but I never installed it yet, because of the pandemic my client asked me to wait with developing the website. Until today, I tried to install the theme in WP, (I have the zip files on my computer since day one, even the updates) but when I tried to install it in WP, a window popped up: “link expired”... So, now what? Even my “item support” has expired… and now I can’t work with the theme. I paid 59,- for it.. too bad.

Can I install it by FTP? I don’t have access to the wordpress admin. It is likely due to some incompatibility of versions between wordpress, theme and plugins. I am trying to fix that situation by installing the latest version of the theme.

Reviewing the thread, it seems like plugin authors were also involved however unfortunately I am not sure if Enfold is 100% compatible with Convert Plus plugin. Could you please contact plugin authors ask them as well to be on the safe side?

Hi there, major issue with Enfold theme, the responsive does’nt work at all anymore on my website. I have version 4.8.6.2 installed. What happened? For instance, I have 3 columns on a page, and on mobile it’s still 3 columns instead of one onto the other.. Does anyone have the same issue? It’s not cool at all, the responsive version of my site is impossible to navigate. Please help! Thank. you
It looks like flebox display was added to the CSS of the theme, when I look at my site it does look like columns are on display:flex; but like if there was no configuration to adapt the mobile version with the media queries.. ?

When the old version theme was upgraded, it generated a conflict with the plugin Redirection. I want to download the other versions to test.

1. How fast do you reply support tickets? 2. Will you continue to update the theme in the following years or it may be descontinued? 3. I have a website that mixes regular pages + a main ecommerce component whose checkout ends by sending an order (but not paying it) – is Enfold appropriate for this? I intend to use the theme for this website, as the prior theme is no longer receiving updates and everything that we need to do is problematic. 4. My current website has some plugins that were added for extra functionality (extra sidebars, extra checkout fields, internatiol phone number field with validation, product brands, product filters and sidebars, whatsapp chat…) – how can I check if they are compatible with Enfold?

1- We usually reply to threads within 24 hours however depending on how the busy forums are, times sometimes vary.
2- We have discontinued all of our older themes to fully focus on developing Enfold and are not planning to discontinue it
3- Could you please elaborate? Enfold is fully compatible with WooCommerce and WP Easy Cart in case you are using one of these plugins
4- Unfortunately there is no test version of Enfold that we could share with you. Could you please contact plugin authors and ask them if they had any experience with Enfold?

error Creating default object from empty value in slideshow_layerslider
We have Enfold themeforest 4.5.4, and we have upgraded to Wordpress 5.8.1. We are unable to update any plugins this week because it creates warnings and deprecated function errors with the layerslider plugin. We blamed our shopping cart (easycart) plugin update, and they ran some debugging in our wp-config.php file. They said it is a deprecated function issue with the layer slider plugin. The enfold themeforest updates are supposed to update the layerslider plugin. The website is working right now, but I can’t update the 9 plugins because it renders the website useless. After you deactivate the easycart plugins, the error still happens. I restored the website to the backup before the plugin updates, so you can login to it now.
It says the theme is updated on our website. This is the error before I restored the website, and I asked about this on 9/7/2021 #1320309 with no reply:

I have personally updated many old versions of Enfold on users’ sites and have not had any issues. You may need to reconfigure your widgets and header settings but other than that, it should go smoothly. Please create a testing site and update the theme there first to be on the safe side.

1. By including the API key in the thema options, it seems that it is in conflict with Envato Market … can I only have it on one site? Which one should it be in?
2. As the previous thema was from 2014, we do not have a thema child. In these circumstances, do you advise including it?

It sounds like you might have broken HTML in your content which breaks the layout.

Hi, thanks. I’ve fixed it now…. it turns out it was the theme’s ‘minify js’ option that caused it to break.
When I disabled any minification by the theme, all was working fine again.
