Logo Bug with Enfold Consulting Demo, after changing logo, no logo is shown anymore. Seems like the whole img tag is deleted by changing logo in backend.

Are you using SVG logo? If so, please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ and update Enfold to the latest version 4.8.6.5. If you are using a SVG plugin, you may need to re-create your SVG file and re-upload it

Hi Yigit, no, I chose a simple .png and tested a .jpg as well. I have the newest version running. I thought SVG is optional, isn’t it?

Error in the theme! I am modifying the single-event.php template. The theme is supposed to let me override any file by creating a file of the same name in the child theme. In the case of the single-event.php template, that is no longer working. Your file is themes/enfold/config-events-calendar/views/single-event.php When I modify that file, my changes how up. However, if I create themes/child-theme/config-events-calendar/views/single-event.php it is not loaded. Also if I follow The Events Calendar instructions and create themes/child-theme/tribe-events/single-event.php that also is not loaded. Please fix the theme so that the single-event.php file can be overridden by a child theme file. Thanks!

SVG logo have the same issue, i update my website with latest version and my svg disappeared and then I revert my theme version to 4.8.6.3 and everything work fine. Can you check for that bag???

If your SVG logo looks big on mobile, please replace /enfold/css/layout.css with – https://github.com/KriesiMedia/enfold-library/blob/master/temp_fixes/Enfold_4_8_6_5/css/layout.css in Appearance > Editor

I updated to latest Enfold Version: 4.8.6.4 it broke the footer section (footer disappeared). Many users are having same issue. There are some posts in support forum about copying header file, confusion and does not really work. Support is asking users for FTP access to assist. I cannot post inside of support forum because my license expired. I have to buy support for an issue everyone is having. I wonder if this is done intentionally so users have to buy support? FYI, do not update to latest version, it will break the footer. Any ideas when the footer issue will be fixed?

There is no footer issue for users who have not modified footer.php or header.php files on their child theme. Since those files were updated, they simply need update on child theme as well.

Yeet Thanks! I tried your suggestion from forum post, did not work. After I downloaded Oct 7th 2021 – Version 4.8.6.5 footer is now fixed. I’m sure it was was a bug in v4.8.6.4. Thanks for fixing it quickly!

You can copy fresh header.php and footer.php files from the latest version of Enfold

I have 8 licensed purchases of this theme. An older client (from 2016?) asked me to update their site. I desperately need to update the Enfold Theme. BUT, I can’t because it’s still trying to use the Themeforest API. I have legal copies and token keys, but I can’t apply them inside the old theme.
EVEN WORSE!!! – I now find I can’t communicate with Kriesi on the support forum without buying another copy! I AM SUPER DISAPPOINTED as I have always been so impressed with this company and it’s theme. Kriesi doesn’t offer the easiest support system, but I thought they were at least dependable within their limits. I really thought Kriesi was going to stand behind their product and customers.
Sad. All I needed was a little info to make sure I didn’t bring this poor little site crashing down! You bet I’ll be think twice about depending on Enfold going forward. Buyer’s beware.

The footer and widgets disappeared after the update

It is a bit disappointing that your forums are now blocked to expired license users. Asking for $80/year for support is quite steep in my opinion, mainly because 90% of the problems are bugs caused by your own updates.
Every single update that we are doing recently (at least for the past 6-8 months) have serious problems. The latest update (4.8.6.4) has just broke the logo are on mobile devices (it is huge).
I would be happy to pay for support to continue to access your support forum, but not for the asking price. I hope you guys can revise this to continue to get support from long-time users like me and many others.
Is is possible to add the catalog into a tab element???

Please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#debug-mode and enable debugging mode for ALB, add Catalog element to your page, copy its shortcode from the debugging field right below Advanced Layout Builder and paste it into your Tab content.

I am an Enfold user (and also fan) since 2016. Over the years I have made my customers buy dozens of licenses for this theme.
It is a real pity that you have blocked the forum for those who have expired support.
First of all because requests for help are almost always requested for malfunctions of the new versions. During these years we have had several problems after the updates (do you remember all the problems we had updating to WP 5.6? We were forced to use jQuery Migrate Helper which generated a lot of warnings!). If there are bugs in the next update, who should we write to? Who do you think will report bugs? Newbees or customers with years of experience?
And then we who have experience do not just report bugs but also look for solutions and help you improve yours.

The latest update causes a critical error, putting the site in recovery mode: Uncaught ValueError: Unknown format specifier “S”.
I switched back from PHP 8.0 to PHP version 7.4, which resolved it. But there is some kind of bug.

We have tested the theme with PHP 8.0 and I have just tested once again on my local installation however I could not reproduce the issue.
Could you please create a testing site, de-activate all active plugins, upgrade PHP to 8.0 and Enfold to 4.8.6.3 and check if that helps? You can activate the plugins one by one to find the culprit. Also, have you modified any theme files on a child theme? If you have, please activate parent theme and then update the theme. Issue might be related to modified files on your child theme.

I bought this theme in Jan. 2020. Okay, thats some time ago, but I never installed it yet, because of the pandemic my client asked me to wait with developing the website. Until today, I tried to install the theme in WP, (I have the zip files on my computer since day one, even the updates) but when I tried to install it in WP, a window popped up: “link expired”... So, now what? Even my “item support” has expired… and now I can’t work with the theme. I paid 59,- for it.. too bad.
