Hello, I noticed some similarities between Kaon and Travelosophy. I really like Travelosophy, but it seems to no longer be updated. Has Travelosophy been rolled in to Kaon or is it better to purchase Travelosophy?

The Travelosophy theme has the same workflow and options as the Kaon theme, as they’re both made with the Neuron Builder plugin.
The difference is the demo templates, the Travelosophy theme is a blog theme, and Kaon is a multipurpose theme, so the decision is up to you to make.
About the updates, nor the Kaon or Travelosophy themes get updated, but the theme plugin (Neuron Builder) will be updated time by time, and via the plugin, we add features to the theme, so when you purchase the theme, you don’t have to update it, just the theme plugin.

The Neuron “Slides” widget has many bugs. - the Ken Burns effect works only on the first slide. Also it will not repeat/reset when the slider has the looping set to ON. Instead the image just stays in its expanded state. The effect should work on all slides every time the slide appears on and on. - The “Initial animation” setting works just sometimes and it makes the title not to show at all. It reappears as soon as you touch or click the slide’s picture. - If you click “Slides” in the Navigator panel nothing happens. You need to right-click it and select Edit Slides to be able to modify it. - This is more a feature request: the slide image is always adjusted to the screen from the left side to the right, which makes it almost useless when watching it on a narrow cellphone screen. There should be a setting from which point should an image be anchored.

Hello. Can you please try this:
Create a new “slides” widget, insert 3 slides (with background pictures) and turn ON the Ken Burns effect individually on each of them.
Does the Ken Burns effect work on all 3 slides or just on the first one?
If it works, does it resets/restarts each tme a slide displays or it leaves the slides expanded?
UPDATE:
I’ve just tested one of your demo KAON themes on your server. I’ve created a Slides widget like described above and it doesn’t work. It behaves exactly the same as on my server. So the bug should be in the widget itself or in the KAON theme.

Couple of problems in this theme even though we’ve used it for less than a year. 1 – The latest version of Neuron builder according to neuron site is 1.0.6 and the most updated version here on on theme forest is 1.0.3 which is not really compatiable with elementor 3.7++
2 – With latest WP and Elementor update the neuron builder plugin is causing a fatal error which means the site stops working. The only way to make the site work back again is to delete / disable neuron builder. Which leaves us with broken content because the layouts are partially designed with elementor and partially with neuron.
Support will tell us to file another ticket on ticksy, but the problem is not in just one ticket, instead the the compatibility issue and not updating the theme forest version as a whole.
How can we urgently solve this please?

We’ve already released an update of the Neuron Builder plugin (version 1.0.6.0), to make it compatible with Elementor 3.7.0, please update the Neuron Builder plugin by going to Dashboard > Plugins and you’ll see the update button there.
If you can’t see the update there, go to Dashboard > Updates > Check for updates.

This theme has bugs galore! Installation is so sporadic and not stable. Even after installation theres missing content on demo imports, styling issues, etc… We’ve tried using this theme several times, and always the same issues! Its useless!

Once again we tried using this theme and immediate problems!! The mobile hamburger does not toggle at all on Guava. The trigger doesn’t work for the menu pop up! Other customers have had this very same issue so why hasn’t it been addressed? We don’t have time to wait on support when we can’t even view the site on mobile during the construction process??? C’mon guys?

I just read your answer to Grek, essentially saying the theme won´t be substantially / regularly updated. thanks for clarifying here, as I asked myself the same question.
initially I thought Kaon will be the base of a dynamic, expanding, regularly updated eco-system of (sub-)themes. like others I see Neuronthemes has chosen a different approach, as basically you are releasing new aesthetics and niche themes as separately issued themes, and iterate / expand the template system in that way. it is an elementary approach known from other developers, which honestly speaking I had hoped Neuron is not replicating. but this might just be my personal feeling. and of course this is up to you as author, and there will be reasons for that strategy.
but practically and for reasons of transparency and clarity, I would recommend to adapt / update the presentation of Kaon in line with your above answer and clarification (to Grek). – e.g. it currently (still) says: “37+ themes… With more to come on each update(!)”. I think to correct / update statements would be good for customers to understand the kind of ecosystem that Neuron is offering. Maybe also an explainer / statement somewhere about strategy and relation of issuing (new) themes will also help customers to navigate the by now broad range of themes and make an informed decision.
Kaon of course still rocks!

The theme won’t get updated, that’s right, but the theme plugin (Neuron Builder) will be updated time by time, you can take a look at the changelog of the plugin.
So the plugin update adds features to the theme or whatever needs to be added to the theme.

The idea of the Neuron themes is to bring to the clients the easiest way to create their website just by drag&dropt tools, so we’re not replicating the themes, we’re making them easier and easier for the clients to work with them, and we also are creating stunning demo templates for each theme.
About the Kaon theme templates, there may be some other demos added in the future, as our focus will always be to improve the Kaon theme.

actually I need some follow-up advice
1) following this line of conversation I looked through all the existing themes, and have some hard time deciding. they are all beautiful – but I am a little insecure because I still try to understand the upsides + downsides of chosing one theme over another.
what I understand: a) they are all built with the same Neuronbuilder, essentially b) they feature some different styles and theme-templates; though often it seems in theory I could also rebuild some of that with Kaon, or any theme that has Neuronbuilder for that matter. I also understand from some prior conversation that there are in indeed some technical / functional features that really set aside what I can achieve with thema A over theme B – e.g. the proofing gallery feature…
now the question is this: is there any place where I can get an overview of what principal functionality sets aside one theme from all others in the flock – i.e. what it has that can not be rebuilt somehow with the general features of Neuronbuilder, or by reworking elements from the Neuron Gallery?!
– Clicking through all the different themes left me a little confused of what sets one aside from another different than differently styled starter templates. Some reliable and comparative info would help me (and probably others) to decide. I feel if I buy a fourth Kaon license I might miss something worthwhile in terms of functionality… but the same insecurity is there when thinking to buy one of the newer themes: there too, I try to understand: what do I really miss – in terms of basic functionality – from another theme I could have chosen? THX already!!
–follow-up # 2) I also just read the question of digitaldaddy here. Now I wonder: if I ever activate a Kaon-theme license I bought initially after support expired (I bought 3 for the intro price), does that work? Or is there a set protocol of how to do that? THX again!

Our themes are separated into two sections, the Neuron Builder themes and Neuron Core themes.
The Neuron Core themes have some basic functions, but the theme is not fully editable with Elementor, and the Neuron Builder themes are fully customizable via Elementor.

The Neuron Builder plugin also comes with the template library, there are 480+ Neuron Templates that were added to the Elementor library that you can import to your site.

All the Neuron Builder themes have the same basic functions (besides Merope and Floona which are photography themes and they have the Proofing Gallery feature), except demo templates, some features that are different in the themes are animations and hover effects.
The differences in the theme make the demos, that we actually spend considerable time to design and create them so then the users have an easier way to create their site by importing the demo data.
You can take a look at each theme description under the details tab of ThemeForest to check for the features.

I reviewed all of the new templates for a current project – and have to say: they are all beautiful designwise! – but finally I had to chose another theme provider for the current project, though it was hard to make this move given my love for Neuronthemes.
I thought I leave you the reasons / feedback, hoping for future projects like this I can return to Neuronthemes. Maybe there is also a general point to take away here, as all reasons are related to functions that are (now) in the market, and are not related to design (where Neuronthemes really excels still!):
1. the interactive post doesn´t work like expected in mobile view – it rather works as an immediate forward link there. other providers have mastered this (and I mentioned the problem some time ago to you)
2. one-page / vertical sliders / covers / full-page scroll: this is now very common in advanced themes/builders. Neurontheme has something akin in ‘parallax scrolling’ – but again this functionality doesn´t work on mobile
3. horizontal scrolling rail: by now some advanced themes have this. it´s sections that scroll horizontally while users scroll vertically (I am aware this may sound a little exotic – but I still believe this is on the current front of WP-UX-design; so naturally something Neuronthemes should be at least aware of).
As I said, it breaks my heart a little not to be able to use Neuronthemes for this. But I thought maybe this kind of user(-needs)-feedback might be interesting or helpful for you.

(– btw / insert: personally I share ‘lioncement’ observation that by going this way of ‘fast forwarding’ templates you might diffuse attention + confuse people potentially; robbing yourself of producing a really standing out ‘best selling’ item and get the eyeballs. but it´s a strategical question & fully up to you. personally I think e.g. selling new and more ‘polished’ Neuronbuilder templates from within Kaon for example would be a better strategy, keeping the focus. but that´s personal taste).
about the rest I am 100% with you on the advantages of Neuronbuilder and the ‘system’ you constructed. and that is the reason I give you feedback: as a fan
as the Neuronbuilder is so central as a ‘core’, I just wanted to bring these 2 principal aspects to your attention:
1. it´s worth ironing out bugs and improve the system-as-is where neccessary – and not forget about that while issuing new design templates. the best example for me is the fact that the (attractive) interactive post format still doesn´t work (as expected) on mobile, that is 50% of the use-cases. and this is a problem from the start, still unadressed. – on the good side: once you fix/improve stuff like this it immediately pays for all the themes, making each a better proposition to your buyers
2. as good as Neuronbuilder is, the competitive field is not standing still. there are new attractive functionalities springing up all the time (I gave you the examples). with you presenting Neuronbuilder as ‘building the future of Wordpress themes’, you are certainly aware the future is rebuilt every 3-6 months within the field. to translate this into concrete terms: while Neuron-design + speed are still standing out, in terms of functionalities a lot of people caught up. getting an Elementor-plus system with good template library etc., and even including interactive posts, is now offered by some of the advanced players. the one thing really standing out still, imo, is the integrated popup-/modal-builder, which is still unmatched on theme-level (though there are Elementor-plugins). so besides my personal wish for some nice ‘state-of-the-art features’ (horizontal-scroll; one-pager transitions etc.) there is this general reason I was mentionting all this: I think Neuron started so formdable with Kaon, and is still placed formidable to be ‘the-system-of-choice’, or in your words ‘the future of Wordpress themes’. but this will only be true if new UX-/functionality trends are taken care of as much as the design-side of things….
so, would be happy to return with new projects to Neuron – and actually just having interactive posts finally fixed would probably already personally get me there…
