Hi there,
Throughout the theme there is use of get_the_excerpt function, however the theme is mostly only passing 1 argument to this, but it requires 2 arguments.
As a result any time the theme is alongside a plugin using this function correctly (with 2 arguments) there will be an error. This might not present itself on the front end, but I have seen it create streams of log errors and suspect it’s why some of the websites I have used eith the7 are from time to time using too much ram or CPU.
This has been the case since WP4.5, so it’s probably worth you making a minor update to the code.
Would you be able to patch this for us all? Wouldn’t want the7 to be detrimental to performance for end user sites – I’m advocating specifically for one of my clients here.

I can fix this for myself with child theme overrides as I discovered this particularly with the social share icons script, but you’ll see if people check their logs they will see in cases where get_the_excerpt is used by another plugin (very common fuction) a lot of fatal errors in logs.

my support has expired, but need a quick help. I downloaded and installed the demo and customized it. but deleted the unused images. We have installed and active the White Label plugin, but when editing a page, the elements all still say the 7
for example “Edit The7 Horizontal Menu” and all your modules are listed as “The7 elements”

PRE PURCHACE QUESTION: Hi, I have allready serveral The7 themes in use. For a new project I need different menu headers. Some should be combined with menu items horizontaly (classic method) and on right side of menu bar a hamburger icon triggering a full screen menu (different menu then horizontal). Is that possible? Maybe if neccesary with Ubermenu. Is The7 combatible with ubermenu?

Posts and pages will remain safe. But you may need to adjust its appearance. Talking about plugins, you will have to recheck whether all of them keep working fine and are compatible with the theme.
