Hi sata_support,

Hello, quitenicestuff. How are you guys?
I have some pre-sales questions. I have looked at the description of your plugin, but I’m not sure if it fits to our scenario here. Could you help me, please? These are very specific to our situation, so don’t worry if your plugin doesn’t cover everything.
Situation: I have a project that receives people only when we have events. It is a project that has 3 hostels of different sizes and features. There are different kinds of events and, therefore, the price to visit and to sleep here are different according to each event. If someone wants to sleep here, they cannot sleep on varied dates. They will pay the price of the total event and enjoy all the perks of the event.
For example: There are 2 events in a given month. 1. The first event costs $100 to visit and $350 to sleep the 3 days of the event. 2. The second event costs $70 to visit and $600 to sleep the 7 days of the event.
We would like to know if it is possibile to do the following with your plugin:
1. Rent entire hostel, room or only beds: we have family and group options to rent not only the bed, but the entire room or the entire hostel for the event. Each with its own prices.
Something like this:
- Category: Hostel ($1500)
- Sub-category: Rooms ($1000)
—- Items: Beds ($350)
The person can rent just a bed for the duration of the event, they can rent the room for their family for the duration of the event or they can rent the entire hostel for their group for the duration of the event. They can always checkout early if they wish, but they can’t purchase fewer days than the event’s duration unless the event allow it.
For example: In an event of 10 days, you can stay 10 or 5 sequential days. There would be two options when deciding to rent the bed/room/hostel.
Something like this:
- Category: Hostel (10 days – $1500; 5 days – $900)
- Sub-category: Rooms (10 days – $1000; 5 days – $600)
—- Items: Beds (10 days – $350; 5 days – $250)
2. Sell participation tickets for those who will be here to visit. Somebody can buy the pass for only one day (whichever day they wish to participate). Possible to buy multiple passes (for example, I can only visit the place on monday, wednesday and friday).
3. Option to add items they consume here (like books, soda, etc). Point of sale, for example. Items tied to the person’s expense history.
4. Possibility to only allow purchase of fixed dates of the event like in a plan option. For example, if the event is for 3 days, somebody can’t rent a room for only 1 day. They can only buy the full plan of 3 days for X price. There can be multiple plans like standard and VIP. All options for the 3 days, but with greater or fewer perks.
5. Allow people to manage their bookings and payments.
I understand these are very specific and the plugin may not cover every aspect. If you could just inform me what can e done, I’d be very grateful. Thank you ahead of time for your time and work.
Hi nardyello,
Thanks for your interest.
1.) The first event costs $100 to visit and $350 to sleep the 3 days of the event: Soho Hotel is for overnight bookings only, so I think it wouldn’t work well for event booking if they’re just visiting for a “day” and not staying “overnight” with a check in and check out date
2.) Something like this: – Category: Hostel ($1500) – Sub-category: Rooms ($1000) —- Items: Beds ($350): Yes the booking system can do this, you can check the booking page here: http://themes.quitenicestuff2.com/sohohotel/demo1/bookings/
You can create as many “Accommodation” as you want, and then also connect as many custom “Rates” to an accommodation as you want, this lets you charge different prices, but availability is blocked for the same item
3.) They can’t purchase fewer days than the event’s duration unless the event allow it: Yes you can set a minimum and maximum stay
4.) Category: Hostel (10 days – $1500; 5 days – $900) – Sub-category: Rooms (10 days – $1000; 5 days – $600) —- Items: Beds (10 days – $350; 5 days – $250): You can set a minimum and maximum stay, and you can set different prices based on the accommodation type, and length of stay
5.) Sell participation tickets for those who will be here to visit. Somebody can buy the pass for only one day (whichever day they wish to participate). Possible to buy multiple passes (for example, I can only visit the place on monday, wednesday and friday): I think this will be a problem, since Soho Hotel is an overnight accommodation booking system, so booking a “day” visit isn’t really possible
6.) Option to add items they consume here (like books, soda, etc). Point of sale, for example. Items tied to the person’s expense history: Yes you can add-on extra items to a booking, see the 2nd step of the booking process “Add-Ons”: http://themes.quitenicestuff2.com/sohohotel/demo1/bookings/
7.) Possibility to only allow purchase of fixed dates of the event like in a plan option. For example, if the event is for 3 days, somebody can’t rent a room for only 1 day. They can only buy the full plan of 3 days for X price: Yes you can set a minimum and maximum stay
8.) There can be multiple plans like standard and VIP. All options for the 3 days, but with greater or fewer perks: Yes you should be able to do this, see question #2 answer above as I think you’re basically asking the same thing here
9.) Allow people to manage their bookings and payments: You can make online paymets for bookings, but after booking it’s not possible for guests to “manage” the booking, only the website admin can do this

hi, could you tell me if Nexi Xpay can be integrated as a payment method? Is there the possibility of entering a choice of rate with payment in the structure or non-refundable online payment?
Hi smartystorm,
Thanks for your interest.
1.) Could you tell me if Nexi Xpay can be integrated as a payment method? Yes I believe it can, I searched and there is a WooCommerce compatible “Nexi Xpay” plugin
2.) Is there the possibility of entering a choice of rate with payment in the structure or non-refundable online payment? You mean like a non refundable online deposit? Yes this is possible
Best regards
Thank You
Hi, are you planning any update to address the complexity of the price update process?
Not sure if you ever used Airbnb yourself as a host. We do and it’s so easy to update prices in bulk in seconds, as opposed to your theme which takes days.
(at least that’s how we are finding the system to work – so not sure if you have an alternative way to do it which we did not find in the documentation)
Problem:
We set the rates by guest (starting from the first 4 guests with a fixed price and then increase the price with 20% of the night rate for each additional guest.
On Airbnb we just highlight the calendar days (select start and end date) and then add the price per night we want to have as base.
On the main settings we have the (20%) charge per guest after (4) guests
If we want to update the prices for specific dates to increase / decrease it for a whole week, we just select the dates and update the price for the selected dates in Seconds. – and this is very common and important requirement because prices flacuate a lot and we need to keep updated with the competition prices in our areas – we change them frequently
With your way of updating the price per guest we need to:
Go in the Accommodation Rate Area, Select the season, Select each week day per guest number and type and update the price individually.
So if we want to update a whole week or even a single day of summer with higher / lowe prices, we need to:
1) Go back in the seasons section 2) Update the summer season (slice it, to remove the current week from it) 3) Add the new week in summer which we plan to change the prices for
so we will have a total of 3 summer seasons just to change the price for a week or even a day
Then we need to back to the Accommodation Page and: 1) Select the new season 2) Update the price for (and this is the most time consuming part) - 1 Adult on Monday - 2 Adults on Monday - 3 Adults on Monday - 4 Adult on Monday - 5 Adults on Monday - 6 Adults on Monday - 7 Adult on Monday - 8 Adults on Monday - 9 Adults on Monday - 10 Adult on Monday - 11 Adults on Monday - 12 Adults on Monday - 13 Adults on Monday - 14 Adults on Monday - 1 Child on Monday - 2 Child on Monday - 3 Child on Monday - 4 Child on Monday - 5 Child on Monday - 6 Child on Monday - 7 Child on Monday - 8 Child on Monday - 9 Child on Monday - 10 Child on Monday - 11 Child on Monday - 12 Child on Monday - 13 Child on Monday - 14 Child on Monday (same for infant)
- 1 Adult on Tuesday - 2 Adults on Tuesday - 3 Adults on Tuesday - 4 Adult on Tuesday - 5 Adults on Tuesday - 6 Adults on Tuesday - 7 Adult on Tuesday - 8 Adults on Tuesday - 9 Adults on Tuesday - 10 Adult on Tuesday - 11 Adults on Tuesday - 12 Adults on Tuesday - 13 Adults on Tuesday - 14 Adults on Tuesday - 1 Child on Tuesday - 2 Child on Tuesday - 3 Child on Tuesday - 4 Child on Tuesday - 5 Child on Tuesday - 6 Child on Tuesday - 7 Child on Tuesday - 8 Child on Tuesday - 9 Child on Tuesday - 10 Child on Tuesday - 11 Child on Tuesday - 12 Child on Tuesday - 13 Child on Tuesday - 14 Child on Tuesday (same for infant)
Ecc ecc
Then we need to do the same, manually for each day of the week – update per day, per guest class up until Sunday.
That’s a total of 14 max guests * 3 different Guest Classes * 7 days of the week = 294 inputs for just a small price change for a day, days. week, season :)
Then we have to do this for each property we have which is 4, hence the final result, for JUST ONE DAY of price change = 1,176 one by one inputs
It’s not an optimized way to do things and I highly recommend you to follow a bit how Airbnb work in terms of price updating for hosts.
I hope you can add this option as an update / alternative way of how your theme is working, WIll also help you with sales as I am sure hosts like are looking for such feature.
Wish you all the best in sales, hence why I am pointing this out
Hi zlaws,
Thanks for the feedback, and yes I’m definitely open to improving the price management, and any other features!
Although one thing I would ask is are you actually editing pricing often? Because the way the pricing system is set up, it lets you predefine prices for all seasons and all pricing situations, so after setting up pricing you shouldn’t really need to edit it more than once or twice per year.
Could you email me some screenshots of the pricing UI on Airbnb you mean please? I’ll definitely consider it for an update: hello@quitenicestuff.com
Best regards
Thanks for your reply and taking time in going through my long message.
Yes we do have frequent price changes and for different days. No real pattern to when we update the prices.
It’s basically more on a case by case basis. So if we have a free week in September, then we are more likely to update the prices.
If we have a cancellation and end up with few days open in a specific period of time then we usually update the prices.
It’s an excerside which we do say once a month to say the least on all 4 properties.
We also have seasons, but not directly inputted in Airbnb System, we just know the dates ourselves of when the season is and then just edit the prices based on a per need basis.
Which is easier for us to mantaine our property and have faster, real time price changes.
I will send you an email with a screenrecording of how the airbnb calendar works together with the option of setting up an extra cost after X amount guests. (it’s actually €X not % after each guest)
So if we set charge €20 after 4 guests we will have this:
up to 4 guests / night = €200 5 guests / night = €220 6 guests / night = €240 ecc
Thank you again
1.) It’s basically more on a case by case basis. So if we have a free week in September, then we are more likely to update the prices.: For this I think it would make more sense for me to implement a feature which automates this. For example you can preset pricing based on the availability of a room
2.) If we have a cancellation and end up with few days open in a specific period of time then we usually update the prices: For this there is actually a feature you can use which automates this. You can create a rate variation and set prices for “Late” (last minute) bookings
Best regards
Would be better to have full control on the price and not preset, since it the price change (lower or higher) is not always the same, so a preset price would not work.
I sent you an email with a video on how the airbnb calendar works. Would be nice to have the calendar view like that on each accommodation page.
Thank you
Hi zlaws,
Thanks for your suggestions, I have responded to your email.

Good day. I have a problem with importing ical feed from booking.com. Hi Richard,
I’ve responded to your support ticket now.
Best regards
Thank you. It’s done
In the old version of the plugin there was an option to set the different price for each guest (ex. 1 person €40 2 people €60 child €20 etc) but i cannot find information about this setting in the guide or here in the comments. Are still possible set this settings?
Hi eok,
Yes the booking plugin allows you to charge a different price based on guest quantity.
Please email me and I’ll help you set it up: hello@quitenicestuff.com

Hi, I am not able to submit a ticket through your Support forum, since my support item expired. However, I need to update Revolution Slider and WP Bakery plugins. I have an old version of your theme (before you redesigned the whole template), so the updates are not being pushed to me. Are you able to send me just the updated plugin files?
Hi OlivSEO,
You can download the latest version of these plugins by going to your downloads page: https://themeforest.net/downloads
Find Soho Hotel, click “Download” and then “All files & documentation”, then unzip the file and you’ll find the plugins in the “Plugins” folder.

hi!
I have a problem with reservations. I currently have two types of rooms:
Single (maximum 1 person) Double (maximum 2 people)
The problem is that if a user wants to make a reservation for 4 people, the system does not let him because it says that for the single room the maximum is 1 person and for the double room the maximum is 2.
Is there any way to configure it correctly?
Thank you very much in advance.
I bought the template and I set the page for inquiries. The booking system (not woocommerce) now informs the administrator by e-mail from the site’s e-mail. Is it somehow possible that when the administrator responds to this e-mail in his inbox, that this e-mail is sent automatically to the e-mail of the guest who made the inquiry?
Whats new in comparison with 4.2.2 to 4.0.7. – where can I see the changelog?
Hi p5r,
The changelog can be found in the main theme folder:
wp-content/themes/soho-hotel/changelog.txt

Hello, I want to buy a theme for hotel reservations and flights that allows hotel owners to display their products with us. Abdelrahman Belal Mob : 00966530504265
Hi onfastgroup,
Thanks for your interest.
Soho Hotel allows you to list and book hotel rooms, and also supports multiple hotels. But it isn’t a system like Airbnb where users can sign up and list their own hotels and rooms. It also would not be suitable as a flight booking system.
Best regards
Sorry but I don’t think Soho Hotel is going to be suitable for your project.

It took me 12 hours to figure out that `Soho Hotel Translation` is interfering with the rest of the stuff and if you have it active on latest php versions, the booking doesn’t work.
Hi krumvaleriev,
It sounds like you haven’t setup the translation plugin correctly, please email me and I will help you set it up: hello@quitenicestuff.com

i install theme version 4.2.1 and if change from PHP 7.4 to 8.0 or 8.1 website broken
wordpress 6.2
Hi leopeppe2,
Version 4.2.1 of Soho Hotel is definitely compatible with PHP 8.
The problem is probably with another plugin you’re running, try deactivating all plugins leaving only the Soho Hotel plugins.
If that doesn’t solve the problem please email me and I’ll be happy to check further: hello@quitenicestuff.com

Hi there,
I have an issue regarding the calendar of the cabin. I have a whole cabin (meaning a single room) and on its page, when i am trying to select some dates, after i press the “Book” button, it sends me back to the homepage. also, when i manually make a booking in the administrator page, it doesn’t show any X on the calendar Page.
thank you.

Hi. I was currently assigned to fix some issues on the website which is apparently using your theme. The only thing that was giving me headaches was your iCal sync process.
After troubleshooting overbooking issues reported by my client, i found out that during iCal sync, function removes all recent bookings and imports them back. Quite bad solution if you ask me. As a result of this, while having multiple rooms all booking data gets deleted at first which causes rooms to become available.
Potential client visiting the website during cron job will be able to book a room which hasn’t yet been synced.
The easiest workaround to this would be separate import links for each room. You could then set separate cron jobs in different intervals instead of having one which depending on amount of rooms can take few minutes as it takes for my client.
Do you plan to introduce such feature in future or perhaps you have some thoughts on temporary edits without rewriting majority of the code?
Thanks
Hi dplonski,
1.) I found out that during iCal sync, function removes all recent bookings and imports them back. Quite bad solution if you ask me: This is the only way to safely import iCal bookings, because in the iCal file from AirBnb, Booking.com, or anywhere else, each booking in the file does not have a unique ID, so it’s impossible to know which booking already exists in the system and which needs to be imported. Yes you have the date and room type, but this is absolutely not a clear indicator that it’s the same booking since it’s very common that the same room could be booked for the same dates by a different guest, and then we don’t know if we’re importing a new booking or the same booking, so that’s why all the iCal bookings need to be deleted before being re-imported. If you have any better solution you want to suggest though please feel free to do so, I would happily implement it if it worked
2.) As a result of this, while having multiple rooms all booking data gets deleted at first which causes rooms to become available: Yes technically the blocked rooms are available for about 1 second, once per hour, but the probability of this actually causing a double booking is close to zero, I’ve never had any customer ever encounter this problem
3.) The easiest work around to this would be separate import links for each room: There is a separate import field for each room, but I fail to see how this would solve the problem you mention? The problem point is that no unique booking ID is provided in the iCal file by Airbnb, booking.com, and there’s nothing I can do about this, hence the solution I implemented
4.) You could then set separate cron jobs in different intervals instead of having one which depending on amount of rooms can take few minutes as it takes for my client: Ok so the problem is that your iCal import is taking too long? This is the thing we need to fix, not the other points. Please ask your client to open a support ticket and I’ll help them to reduce the import time to a few seconds at most: https://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

I have a client with a bungalow and it is having 4 Rooms. He wants people to book individual rooms as well as the whole bungalow. In this case, if anyone books the whole bungalow, other people should be blocked from booking individual rooms for a given date(s). On the other hand, if someone booked a Room for a date(s), other people should block booking the whole bungalow (But the remaining rooms can be booked). Can I achieve this functionality? If not is there a workaround to do this? this is a presales question.
Hi onlinepin,
Thanks for your interest.
Yes this is possible.
If you open a support ticket after purchasing I’ll help you set it up: https://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/
