Several car models (child categories) have detached themselves from the parent categories (Car Makes). They are so many and I have no idea how to restore this. What could be the reason and how can I sort it?
I just noted that your demo has also detached some car models from car makes e.g. the Acura car make models have been detached from the respective car models. Car models for Acura on your site doesn’t appear in search or ad building. This is a bug which you need to fix. thousands of car models on my site have been detached from their respective car make. Now tell me how I am gonna reattach car models to respective makes. Your update has not solved anything from our end. It ONLY worked for your demo site. Sad!
You need to make sure that you set the relationship between your make and model listing categories properly. The latest updates didn’t include any restrictions or changes for listing categories in general. I had set this relations well a long ago. It’s just recently that a half of the models which are in hundreds deassiciated themselves from their respective makes. You even admitted this here and I believe you only sorted your demo manually. I identifying models one by one and attaching them back makes is extremely a lot of work. 1. I have a fully dedicated server with enough resources to do anything
2. I’ve raised all the limits to 4000 - max timeout 4000 - max exicution 4000 - memory 4000 - max upload 4000mb

2. It doesn’t depend on the theme by default. For example, on our live demo sites, our developers used the following caching plugins -> Autoptimize, WP Super Cache and the advanced-cache.php module on the server

According to the Themeforest license policy, you can use the theme in only one domain. You are able to activate the theme two times, one for live and one for testing. Our manager cleared the license from your previous domain. Now you can use the activation on your current live domain. For the future, if you are going to activate the license on a new domain, please deactivate from your old domain

I am trying your template with Motors Car Rental Two. What I have discovered is that when I create categories for the cars and choose one of those categories…. the car list below with the button “Rent Now!” doesn’t work.

For the first I can recommend you please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme and all the theme plugins should be updated as well.
