Hello! First off, I’ve been loving the theme so far – one of the easiest to work with hands down.

That said, recently there seems to be an issue with self-hosted video backgrounds not working on mobile anymore. In Safari I get the following error in the console “Unhandled Promise Rejection: NotAllowedError: The request is not allowed by the user agent or the platform in the current context, possibly because the user denied permission.” I presume there is a similar issue in Chrome, since the videos do not play there either and the fallback media posters don’t get displayed in either browser.

Any thoughts on what the issue might be? Thanks in advance!

Hi Undsgn,

We purchased the “Uncode” theme 5 or 6 years ago. Currently, we are facing a lot of issues in the design and functioning of our website. Our developer has raised the issue of theme not being up-to-date. Now here is the problem:

1. When we go to the “Updates” under the “Dashboard” option of WordPress and scroll down to the “themes” updates part, it shows that the theme is up-to-date and no theme updates are available.

2. Conversely, when we go to the themes section from the dashboard menu of the WordPress, it shows the theme version for Uncode as “1.4.2”, while the latest version as of now is “2.8.6.”

We are unable to update the theme to the latest version and are constantly facing issues in managing our website. Sometimes, the design of the website is affected severely, and at times the plugins don’t work.

Hi, I’ve purchased Uncode a while ago, to test it for a website that in the end was never finished. The project was abandoned. Now I would like to use it for another project on an other domain. I deregistered and deleted the theme on the old domain and wanted to register it again on the new domain, but found out that it doesn’t work that way. Can you help me or do I have to buy a new license?

Hi, I bought your theme and installed it on a test domain for 2 days to see what it looks like and take advantage of the 6 months support if I have a problem. Before uninstalling it I deactivated the code before uninstalling the theme and deleting the domain. Several months later I decided to test the theme on another domain and the code no longer worked, I contacted the author to unblock the problem and they told me that I had to buy another theme because it had already been installed on a domain. I haven’t used the theme that I paid a fortune for, I’ve taken steps to deactivate the code on the domain, and now I find myself with an unusable licence. Is this normal?

Hello, I have just purchased, installed and registered your great them. Since the server requirements of my hosting package were not sufficient according to various messages of the theme I de-registered and deinstalled it again.

Now the theme can not be registered with my puchchase code on a new better hosting packgage.

Hi Uncode. Since the latest update our Oswald heading fonts have all reverted to default when viewed on Firefox desktop or Safari mobile. They are OK in Chrome and Brave browsers on desktop. We have resaved Uncode Theme options. Can you shed any light on why this may have happened please.

I lost my secondary menu after updating. I had “Go Back” button at the bottom of my “Off-canvas” menu, but after updating theme it disappeared.

Hello. I’ve gone to update the theme plugins on my website and received an error message saying I need to re-enter the purchase code. I deleted the purchase code and re-entered this and it now says I’m using it on more than one site, which I’m not. It was used on the staging domain to begin with and then we switched to the main website domain (not sure if this is the reason why). Please can you help with this.

Hi Uncode When I’m uploading a Youtube link as media file and add an Image poster id, then in my media gallery on a page, I enable Poster in the module tab, like showed in your video tutorial – then the video will not play. It opens like a normal media, with the youtube logo, but when i click play, it gives me a play error. It works fine without the poster setting enable. Where do I control the search bar options? I know it’s WP Search, or Dave’s, but there are no settings for this that I can find in the admin. For example, I want this search bar, found on this demo page, https://undsgn.com/uncode/homepages/classic-help-center/, to search Pages.

Also, how do you control the search in the nav? (the results… and the priority of the results)?

In WordPress there is not an option to control the priority of results, this is all handled by the native WordPress internal queries, so this also happens in Uncode. Probably you can find some hooks online, all this part is native to WordPress.

Are we able to add a column to the mega menu, that contains a headline and image? Maybe using a widget to accomplish this?
