The theme supports changing the original post date to a modified date or remove published date completely and show modified date in Google Search?

in our theme you can choose to show published date or modified date, you can use free version of yoast seo with our theme to be able to show modified date on search result

in Wordpress there are tags that can be assigned to a posts, just like category, please check the link below
the tags can be assigned to posts
if you set the tag for autoload filter the next post will be shown is the post with the similliar tag with current post that opened by user

if you are referring to web story, sorry unfortunately we don’t have option to update it via REST API
but if you are referring to posts or article Wordpress have default REST API endpoint to add and update posts, you can check it in documentation below

So your theme does not support ACF? In previous reply you said that “JNews will compatible with Advanced Custom Fields plugin, but if you want to show the value from ACF plugin on the frontend, or include the value as a filter or something else, you may need to do some custom changes.” Can you explain in detail in what way it IS compatible with ACF? What type of changes might be needed to show ACFin front end for example?
Also you mentioned “we have our own post meta fields” are these post meta fields visible in Elementor?
you can still use ACF plugin alongside our theme but the changes that you make in ACF wont’ be shown in our elements, so you still can use ACF with maybe third party elements but not our elements
to be able to show ACF value in our elements it will need some customization in our php code
our post meta fields will show when you edit the posts on Gutenberg editor or classic editor, below is the example
after you set the value on the metabox, the value will affect the posts that shown on the elements in Elementor or WP Bakery

we checked the elementor with jnews essential active in our site and the elementor still accessible and working, third party plugin may also affecting the funcionality, please also make sure that all the thir party plugin is disabled for testing

sorry for the delayed response, in our theme you can choose the the format of the posts, normal post, video, or gallery
if you choose video format post you will be able to set the feature image as video, if you didn’t set the feature image as video it will show the default feature image
