we didn’t have demo for self hosted video, but you can create a self hosted video by uploading the video into the Wordpress media library and then copy the url of the video, create new post, set the post format type on JNews : Single Post Setting Metabox into Video and then paste the video url into the Video Format input, please check the screenshot below for the example

I can not attach an URL, but there is no need of URL. I am talking about a very famous native wordpress feature which is called “sticky posts”.
We may need to check if there are any third party caching, CSS or JS that causing any conflict, it will be easier for us if we are able to access the page directly.
to troubleshoot this please try to disable caching plugin or CDN caching if you are using one, please also try to disable third party plugins that not related to JNews for a while, you also can check if there are any error on the browser console, please try to visit the page with the issue > right click > inspect > select console tab > please check if there are any error.

1. Pls can you implement a feature that allows controlling the number of tags to show in the tag cloud element, and to sort them by number of posts.
2. Can we have a time reference on the post filters in the modules. So that I can display only the most popular posts published in the last 24 hours, or last 7 days, or month. At the moment, it’s only possible to show the most popular posts based on number of views in the last day, but I want an additional criteria to display only most read articles in the last day, (or week)

thank you, it worked. I still have questions: - Is the theme translated into other languages? I am interested in translation into Polish. If not, which elements can be translated, e.g. by Loco? - Podcasts. Is there a detailed description of the module’s operation somewhere? - Video sections. Is it possible to create a page with only videos and link to it from the main page? - Authors. Is there any module for journalists to be able to very, very easily post articles without having to edit them on the website? - Will the theme work with internet radio? I think the news frontend submit feature that I mentioned earlier will be quite easy for journalists to use to create and edit posts
but you mention ‘not to edit on the website’, are you referring to being able to edit the posts from the mobile app? if so unfortunately we don’t have the feature yet

After a few updates the really bad UX with the sub menu is still not fixed.
users clicks on the sub menu icon but gets lead into the page and does never see the sub page thats there.

Hi, I have a valid licence of the theme installed and validated correctly but I can not update plugins from the dashboard. Everytime I try to do so I get “Purchase code is not Valid ! Fatal errors can be caused by various things, we’ve tested our theme in PHP 8 and there’s no fatal error, if you just updated your PHP version please try to disable some plugins that are not related to JNews for a while to see if there are any third party plugin that causing this issue, you also can check the PHP error log on your site to identify which code causing the fatal error, you can deactivate the third party plugin from the database

for the feed that you mention are you referring to the RSS feed? we have checked the RSS feed on our side and it is still working, if you still have a problem please try to clear the cache on your caching plugin or cdn cache if you are using one, please also try to disable some plugins that not related to JNews for a while to see if there are any plugin conflict

If the author published the material and made it hidden (paid), is it possible to see how many times it was opened. But I see that you wrote above that you have such functionality. What the author can see is how long his paid content has been opened

yes, our post view stats can display the number of times a post has been viewed, including paid posts, but unfortunately we don’t have option to show how long the post has been opened, it only show that counter of how many times the post has been viewed
we only have one paid plugin which is a separate service from the JNews theme, namely jeg ai assistant, and JNews owner have privilege to get 1000 free credit to use it, apart from that plugins, all JNews plugins can be used freely by the JNews theme license owner

Seriously you have a beautiful template and I am sure a lot of coding went into designing this JNews theme but what does all your modules do – you do not explain anything about each module – or did I miss something about where you have this information.
I am sure that I need to get use to this theme as it has a lot of functionality but I feel lost when it comes to trying to understand the function of each module.
What does this mean “turn this option on to enable mobile truncate” and this “enable this option to allow video to be following on single post.” YouTube videos are not displaying properly and on my last theme I had they showed perfectly. So something with your theme needs adjusting, I just don’t know where to go.
You have 31 Jnews modules but you don’t explain what each one does. You need to learn how to write documentation better.
Again the Load More does not work. I cannot get the mobile toggle button to load a menu, or to show the dark/light theme button.
And your documentation doesn’t show how to do this. Why doesn’t the Load More work, one of the reasons I bought this theme.

regarding this, please try to deactivate some plugins that have not been related to JNews for a while, to see if there are any plugins conflict or not

please also try to check if there are any errors in your console log before you try to use load more on your site, you can try to right-click on your browser, find inspect element, click, and then try to use the load more and check if in the browser console, there’s error or not, if there’s an error you can take a screenshot of it and attach the screenshot here

This is a great theme and I will be using it and probably buying another one for another site. Keep up the great work and have a very nice day. I am responding with a few issues.
1. The Load More function doesn’t load more articles. Please see attached image. 2. Also when I go to install a plugin such as the JegAI Assistant it tells me – Request is not Valid ! Please try to contact our Support. This happens on a lot of plugins. 3. How do you turn off the “reading time” that shows up on Related Posts. On Mobile it duplicates itself making the design aspect messy.

from the error on your console, the load more is not working because the website is unable to make an AJAX request to your server because marked as 403 forbiden request. This issue might be caused by a configuration error on your server.
if you are using any security plugins, please try to deactivate it for a while, please also check your for example firewall setting or the apache configuration if there are any setting that block the ajax request, please also try to check the php error log on your server if there are any fatal error or not, If your server is managed by a server administrator, please contact your server administrator to check this issue

Yes I have tried what you said but I have another theme that the Load More button works fine. Plus I still cannot install the plugins, I receive this message:

I am the server admin and could you elaborate on what config I should be looking at.

there are several things that might cause a request to be forbidden, for example, ufw firewall settings, apache configuration usually located in /etc/apache2/sites-available, or .htaccess settings. You can check whether there are settings there that cause ajax requests to be forbidden

I have no issues with other templates running ajax on my server. The load more button for these themes are running fine. I reinstalled the Jnews theme and it still didn’t work. This is a really beautiful theme and I want it to work. My config files on my server are fine.
1. Do you have instructions on how to edit the homepage – there are content blocks that I don’t know where they are. I want to populate it with posts I have coming in automatically.
2. I deleted all the categories that are imported with the installation and now I don’t know how to repopulate those areas with posts. Could you help. techcratic.com

1. I notice you’re using Elementor. To edit the homepage, you can go to the homepage and then edit it via Elementor editor.

1. The page is installed when I load your theme demo for Tech. I editted the page for it but nothing changed. It tells me that it is a jeg_empty_module and a elementor-widget-container but I cannot find anywhere to edit this in the admin area.

In reference to number 1 on this list it also says that it is a jnews_slider_2_elementor.default – so that position by the header is a jnews slider but I cannot see where to edit this.
