Issue with Theme Installation: “Incompatible Archive” Error

I recently purchased it for use on my WordPress site and was eager to begin customizing it. However, I’ve encountered an issue during the installation process that I hope you can assist me with.

Upon attempting to install the theme via the WordPress dashboard, I received an error message stating “Incompatible Archive.” This has prevented me from successfully installing and activating the theme on my site.

Could you please provide some insight into what might be causing this error? I have verified that the WordPress version I am using is compatible with the theme requirements listed on the ThemeForest page.

“Incompatible Archive” indicates that the zip file you’re trying to install is corrupt. Most likely the download didn’t complete and you’re trying to upload a partially downloaded zip file.

So my suggestion is to try and download the zip file again, and make sure the download fully completes.

As of 5th Feb 2024, the latest version of the theme 4.2.4 and the file size of the theme install file is 28MB, so double check your file is this size.

Actually, you’re sending it as a single woocomerce product.. and this is always the same, the client receives the confirmation of his reservation but has no information in his email about what place he has reserved

When a new booking is placed two emails are sent, a payment email, and a booking email which contains all the booking information such as the room name, dates, etc.

Hello, I already use your theme for booking rooms per night. Does your theme support bookings per weeks (for mountain chalets for example, from saturday to saturday only ?) 2 chalets (up to 4 guests and up to eight guests), price is the same whenever guest numbers, only prices per chalet, depending on season)

Yes you can set per week pricing, and you can limit bookings from Saturday to Saturday, and set different prices depending on the guest quantity and season.

It’s not possible to remove the guest selection from the booking form, but you can add and delete specific guest classes. So for example the demo website has the guest classes “Adult” and “Child”. You can delete these and replace them with something else such as “Pet”.

The plugin should be able to connect to the Coliving booking system (calendar? CRM?) to get the available rooms.

Important is also that there will be a 10% commission charged for each booking.

The booking fee, excluding the commission, should be transferred to the Coliving.

How to deal with changes and cancellations? Is there a solution for this in the plugin?

1.) The plugin should be able to connect to the Coliving booking system (calendar? CRM?) to get the available rooms: Yes availability can be synced with external websites and software using iCal, so I’d recommend checking if “Coliving booking system” supports exporting and importing of booking data via iCal

2.) Important is also that there will be a 10% commission charged for each booking: Yes you can set the booking system to charge any amount you want, or also set it to charge a percentage of the total price

3.) The booking fee, excluding the commission, should be transferred to the Coliving: I don’t think there would be any automatic way to do this. Payments for bookings are collected using WooCommerce payments, so the money would go to whichever payment gateway you’re using with WooCommerce, e.g. Stripe, PayPal, etc

4.) How to deal with changes and cancellations? Is there a solution for this in the plugin? Yes you can change the booking status to “Cancelled” if a customer cancels and then refund their booking fee via WooCommerce. You can also edit bookings if nessessary

2.) Yes you accept Stripe and PayPal payments. The booking system uses WooCommerce for payments, so you can use any payment gateway WooCommerce supports, there are around 80 different options

I’m having difficulty translating using the Soho Hotel Translate plugin. Can I use Loco Translate without any major problems?

The main problem you’ll have using Loco Translate is that the availability checker will not sync between languages, so if someone books a room in one language, and then someone else checks the same room’s availability in another language, it will appear available when it is not, which will lead to double bookings. You won’t have this problem with the Soho Hotel Translate plugin.

1.) No there isn’t a review option because most customers prefer to read and write reviews on a 3rd party service such as Google.

You as the website admin can add the highlights of your reviews / testimonials though.

2.) Yes no problem, all of these pricing schemes can be easily setup. You can set a different price for each guest quantity.

Hello, where can I find the booking form in the right sidebar in accomodation page? It is not in the widgets. I want to add something there, is there a specific php file of the booking form?

What version of the theme are you running? My guess would be that you’re running a very old version where the booking form on the accommodation single page was indeed not added via the page builder. If you’re running the latest version (4.0+) it is added via the page builder.

Is it possible to add multiple ical links? I have apartments on Booking but each one with a different ID and iCal link

Does the synchronization work both ways? That is, if I sync Airbnb and they make a reservation on Airbnb, will it be reflected on the website? If the reservation is made on the website, will it show as occupied on Airbnb?

On that page you can see 4 separate rooms.

In your case these would be 4 separate apartments.

Each one of these apartments will have it’s own separate availability calendar, and you can import and export booking data to and from Airbnb for each apartment.
