I recently purchased Avada and with a few tweaks, my website looks better than ever! It’s by far the best Wordpress theme I’ve ever used and you’ve made it pretty darned easy to get around.
I have a brief question: Do any of the sliders have mp3 capabilities? In rare instances I like to add music to my slideshows. The Oqey Gallery is the only plug-in I’m aware of that allows me to do this on Wordpress. Thanks.

Hmmm, I’m not sure about the Layer or Revolution slider using MP3. Below are the pages for both sliders. I dont see mp3 listed out in feature list but it could be possible. You could always put a comment on their item pages requesting that feature. It would be a pretty cool addition.

Sorry my English. I’m thinking of buying this theme. For me it is perfect. But I have fears. Can I buy it, and put a black background instead of white? The Slide Revolution and Layer Slider 3.0 work in full screen?
And the social icons, can I put them in the header?

Yes all future updates are FREE! We are always adding new features to Avada for our users, we have a feature request sticky thread on our forum where users add their requests and we always pick them out and add them in.
As for the timing of it, I cant say for certain when but I do know it will be included in Avada v3.0, which will be another BIG feature update. Its hard to say when, but it will be at least a couple months down the road. Butn its is coming and will be added for certain. Its going to take a design change as you can see right now there is no room for it up top. So we will need to add it as a new design option as well.

Just upgraded to WordPress 3.5 and LayerSlider WP has an issue. When attempting to upload an image, the dialog box does not appear. The screen does go dark as if the popup is attempting to load, but the dialog box never appears. Looked at CC forum for an answer. They say Theme Author must release an update. Current release within Avada is 3.0.1, not the latest. Can you help?
Our current Avada theme is v2.0.5 and it includes Layer Slider 3.6.
You need to download the latest Avada theme and install it, it will include the layer slider 3.6 which does not have any issues with WP 3.5
Please be sure to read the READ ME FIRST file you get with the download. Specifically #5 about plugins, all of them are now integrated into the theme.

Ok, i solved the logo2 problem. But the more tag doesn’t seem to work under the portfolio section like it does in the demo.
I only want to show maybe 4-5 lines next to the image in the single column portfolio but even with the more tag is shows everything.
What am I doing wrong?
See my other response. You need to use the excerpt option on blog tab in theme options. That is a new feature in v2.0 and higher.

Two questions: First on the Portfolio page, since I updated to the latest version of Avada there is now a image above the categories named logo2. It is the picture of an OC. How do I remove it.
Second questions, under the portfolio section. It lists out each portfolio item plus any text you add in there. In your demo it only shows so much text then there is a [...] that stops the rest of the text from showing. How can I add that to my portfolio page. Thanks
For the first question … I would need to see your site to understand what is going on. There should not be an image there unless you modified it and uploaded one.
For the second question, that is the excerpt and its controlled via theme options. The same setting controls blog and portfolio posts. Go to blog tab in theme options ans scroll down to bottom to find excerpt, you can also input the number of words you want to show for the excerpt.

I would maybe download the template, but I have a question. I have to make a website in 3 languages. I’ve done some research and found a plugin (WPML) that could do the job.
Is it difficult to implement the plugin in this theme? Maybe interesting to know, i’ve never worked with Wordpress before…

Please be patient, we are very responsive for support. Please read our policies and guidelines for the forum, response time can take 24-48 hours during regular business days, Mon-Fri.
Based on your comments on the forum, your theme did not fully upload. And as we stated in many other threads, if you are using the child theme you need to move the frameworks folder from the “Avada” theme folder to the “Avada-Child” folder. That is all.
Please check back at your thread for the answer, I will check your site and reinstall the theme for you.

I just responded to both of your threads. All your issues are fixed and worked for me as soon as I logged in. I can only assume you reinstalled theme and it fixed the issues. But everything is working for us.

The issue was that all of a sudden, the slides array variable was undefined in the header.php file. I don’t know where this was originally defined (it’s not defined in the header and never was), but wherever it was, it is no longer being called into the header file. So, I simply removed the logic relating to the variable. This is a hack and I would prefer a good solution. I’ll spend more time with it later, but we need to discuss the update issues. Please respond as soon as you can and/or send me a link to your actual support site so I can create a ticket. I do have the purchase code.

Also, its best to always read the READ ME FIRST file before you update, it contained this information. And as for support tickets, our documentation and the READ ME FIRST file outline the best place to get support which is our support forum. All of that info is included with your download.
All that was needed is to remove the old standalone plugins from the plugins folder via FTP. The plugins are now integrated into the theme which makes it easier for the user and for us.

Hey, I’m not sure what was done, but (I’m the developer) the site owner was making some edits to a blog and the banner disappeared. The HTML and javascript is still there, but nothing is displaying (using Layer Slider). I remembered some comments about a layer slider update as well as a theme update and I checked and saw that there was actually an update available. I updated the theme and received numerous fatal errors. The majority were the fact that the framework folder was being called in the Theme functions file by the style sheet url. This is a problem for anyone using a child theme. So, I put the “framwork” folder that was being called into the child theme and that made the other errors disappear. However I get one last fatal error explaining that the class RevSliderAdmin is not found in functions.php at line 56. I could not spend the time to try and resolve the issue so I put the older version back up (2.0.4), but am still having to deal with the layer slider’s invisibility. The site is calaware.org. Please advise on some solutions. I see the upgrade issues as very serious. Thank you.

Yes you hit the nail on the head, you need to move the framework folder from the Avada theme folder to the Avada child theme folder. This is a little error by us and its being fixed for our new v2.0.6 update.
As for the Rev Slider, that is due to the old standalone plugins. Read the READ ME FIRST file that comes with the new theme package. We now use integrated plugins so the old standalone plugins should be removed via FTP.
Go to “wp-content > plugins” and delete the old standalone plugins (layer slider, rev slider, post type order and TF_Flexslider)
That will remove the other error you are received. If you have that error then the script did not get a chance to complete. We have a script that auto runs when you updte to v2.0.5 that deactivates the old plugins so the new integrated plugins take over. It appears that the Rev Slider did not become deactivated. Just remove the plugin folder and you will be good to go.

Thanks for the comments! The flex slider you are using auto scales the height based on the images you have uploaded. So yo would need to upload images at the height you want.
For example, make all your slider images 940px x 350px and the slider will be that exact size.

I love the area with the “Our MIssion/Company”, The Philosophy”, etc. Is this something that requires version 2.0+? Or can it be done with my 1.2?

That can be done with the older versions, it was just built using our shortcodes.
What you can do is download the new version of Avada, then open up our new documentation. Go to the “How To Setup Your Home Page” section and find the demo code for Home Page 4. Then copy it and paste it into the HTML editor of your home page. Voila!

Hi there. Me again. One last thing… I have read the info you sent with the avada theme package and can’t find the answer. I would like to place a slider just beneath the horizontal menu of pages on my front page. Above my first post. How would I go about doing that? Thanks, Paul
You can set a slider on any page via page options. You have to first create a slider, then set it to show up on the page. Are you using the blog for the front page? If so then leave the front page blank and set the blog as post page.
For making your slider, please see the slider section of our documentation, it outlines how to do all of that. Watch our video tutorials on whichever slider you want to use. It shows you how to make a slider, then apply it to a page. All of that is in our docs.
If you have troubles after that, post up a new thread on our forum.

Looks good I have some concerns though
If i go with boxed version and want a background image like the grass you show in demo. How do i add that background image?
Also there should social images at the top ( above fold ) no one will search below
And it would be perfect if there was a subscribe box
Very easily, you simply add the background image via theme options. Its a simply selection field that you upload an image to.
We have not put social icons in the header or a subscribe box. Sorry.

Hi, I’m using the side navigation template with the Avada theme… I’d like to have only the first level of ‘children’ appear in the dropdown, not the ‘grandchildren’. Does that make sense? You can check out www.team7furniture.com, go to furniture…. scroll over dining room…dining tables… The products need to have ‘parents’ so that they position themselves properly in the breadcrumbs, but it get’s too messy if they show up in the side nav drop down. Thanks. I think that you just updated it for me last week. I still have the children of the children showing up in the side nav.Any thoughts on how I could alter the Side nav template?
Can you please double check your theme version. Go to the theme options and see if it says “Avada v2.0.4”.
But then again I did just check your site and the side nav is working as it should. The children show up when you mouse over the parent.
I’m not sure what it is you want, I guess I dont understand. But your side nav is working as it should right now. When I mouse over “dining tables” the child shows up.

Hi there are you a 1 person author or a team of professional full time authors whose main focus is support your themes?
I’m attempting to move my theme from a theme I had previously purchased from an Elite Author on TF who now cannot support his theme which is now broken. So I need to know that I won’t make the same mistake again.
I noticed that you only have 1 theme currently and that you have your own web design company but it looks as though that’s just 1 person and so I’m a little weary of pressing purchase.
What assurances can you make for long term support plus?

For your menu, if you imported the XML file then you need to set the main navigation in the menu section. See our documentation and video tutorials for how to do that.

Hi there. Thanks in advance for any help anyone may be able to give me. OK, I presently have a wordpress website (www.resolvedhypnotherapy.co.uk) and as you will see, the posts show both images and the integrity of the text (as I typed it) on the main screen. I bought avada this morning and the sticky post (which serves as my “hello” page) loses the image and the text is all crushed together with no differentiation between font sizes, colours etc. There doesn’t seem to be a way to make this sticky post a “hello” page, fully visible, as I could in the existing “tranquil reflections” theme. Potential clients need to be able to read my “hello” blurb without having to click again on a blog post. Any ideas? Thanks. Paul
Hi Paul!
We would need to see this ourselves to understand what you are referring to. The text should not be running together and should be different sizes as long as the text is defined as some heading and some body. If the text is not defined as heading and body then it would all be the same size.
The next step would be to post this on our support forum and include your URL so we can see how this looks. If its not possible to include a URL then post up some screenshots.

1. Install the new theme the same way any other theme is installed, via WP or via FTP. We provide instructions and videos for both methods.
2. No your content should not be lost. Your existing content should move over but every theme is different and works differently so most likely some things will need to be adjusted. For example, portfolios may work differently.
