Why when trying to import child theme does it come out looking like this https://bbqdeals.co.uk/ instead of this https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/shop35-soft/. My server requirements are fine. I am following all the steps correctly and still comes out looking like this. Any help appreciated.
Hello, @jimjohnstone92,
The issue you are facing is because of the SSL certificate, please check this screenshot: https://pasteboard.co/v29JD82zRLcR.png and please refer to our theme documentation to solve your issue here: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/faq/site-distort-because-of-mixed-content-ssl-certificate-issue/

Hi, I’d like to use porto for my next work. Mi client has two villas he wants to rent, managing bookings, payment and calendars from the web. is there a compatible booking plugin I can use that can be embedded into porto in anice way? Thanks Giusy
Hello, @luigitanese19,
Our theme utilizes the WooCommerce plugin for store functionality. If you prefer, you may use any third-party plugin from the WordPress marketplace for calendars or bookings that better meets your needs. However, please note that this is at your own risk, as our theme support does not cover compatibility issues with third-party plugins. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello, @samsonsyengo107,
1. The issue you’re experiencing is caused by the third-party plugin, Gallery Slider for WooCommerce. To resolve the product layout problem, please copy the CSS code from the following link and paste it into Porto >> Theme Options >> Skin >> Custom CSS. Then, check your site again: https://pasteboard.co/QLIDWRdsVR5C.png
@media (min-width: 768px) {
#wpgs-gallery.wcgs-woocommerce-product-gallery {
margin-right: 30px;
max-width: 100% !important;
}
}
2. To add the new product to that section, please use the page builder to edit your page. Locate the specific element for that section, open its settings, and configure the product as needed.
3. Yes, you can. Use the “Tabs” element, and within that, you can use the “Porto Posts Grid” element. Configure them according to your requirements. For reference, please see this screenshot: https://pasteboard.co/LKfvp8suxmk5.png
4. To remove those tags from the product page, please check our support article here: https://www.portotheme.com/forums/topic/how-to-remove-or-edit-the-shop-page-filter-tags/

Hello, @samsonsyengo107,
You can Customize/Create your own layout for your products on the site, from Porto >> Template Builder >> Post Type: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/type-builder-elements/
And then you can use that layout as to show your products on your site from Porto >> Template Builder >> Product Archives and choose the above created layout in “Type Builder Archive” element on your shop page by creating the Custom Shop page layout from Porto >> Template Builder >> Product Archives: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/faq/how-to-create-custom-product-archive-page-using-porto-template-builder-and-with-wp-bakery-page-builder/

Waiting for your reply. Also, I am getting error now where previously I was able to access and edit the page.
Error: Sorry the content area is not found your page You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.
Also, noticed maybe some pages are built using WP Bakery Page builder and that’s why we are not able to edit them using Elementor? E.g. For the FAQ page, I was not able to see the option to “Edit with Elementor” but after I activated the WP Bakery Page Builder and opened page to edit with it, I was able to see the content.
Let me know how we can edit same page using Elementor.
Appreciate quick response as I am working on a project and need to finish it asap.
I created another page by duplicating About page for FAQ and edited the page using Elementor. Used “Porto FAQ” in it and saved/closed. Now, when I tried to open the page again using Elementor, I can’t do it and getting same error as mentioned in previous comment (Sorry the content area is not found in your page).

Hi Porto, after update to latest version, there are some content does not show correctly in frontend, if i disable ssl, everything works fine, what problem?
Hello, @dauyeung,
Here are some common causes and potential solutions:
Mixed Content Issues:
Check the source of the missing content and ensure all URLs use HTTPS.
Please read and follow the instructions written in our theme documentation here: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/faq/site-distort-because-of-mixed-content-ssl-certificate-issue/
Browser Cache:
Clear your browser cache and try loading the site again.
SSL Certificate Issues:
Verify your SSL certificate is properly installed and there are no errors in the certificate chain. Tools like SSL Labs’ SSL Test can help diagnose certificate issues.
After the theme and plugin updates, please navigate to Porto >> Tools, and Clear all the “Transients” from there, and compile the CSS.
If still the issue persists, then please contact us via our support system with your site WP Admin URL and Credentials so that we can look into it for you on your site and help you out.

Hi. States the theme runs with WP Bakery but this doesnt seem to be listed in the Plug Ins area anymore and when I try to edit with the frontend editor it states “This page can not be edited with WPBakery since it is missing a WordPress default content area.” Any ideas?
Hello, @DigitalCrate,
You can easily install or update the WP Bakery plugin by navigating to Appearance >> Install Plugins after installing the theme.
Which specific page are you having trouble editing? Please provide the URL of that page, along with your site’s WP Admin URL and credentials via our support system, so we can investigate and assist you further.

Shouldn’t this be updateable via your default plugins area? Porto > Set Up Wizard > Plugins. Your other plugins are listed here and if installed, state that an update is available for them, but WP Bakery is not listed here any more? I’m running WP Bakery 7.6
Hello, @DigitalCrate,
It should be under Porto >> Setup Wizard >> Plugins.
It should be under WP-Dashboard >> Appearance >> Install Plugins.
And the very latest version of the WP Bakery plugin is 7.6 so that is the reason it is not showing there, when the update is available it will automatically show at both places, do not worry about it.

Hello Team, From version 7.1.0, There is a bug in the theme, Whenever I try to edit a post, I get different error messages: WordPress Failed to load the plugin: color picker from URL wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/colorpicker/plugin.min.js
I can’t edit with WPBAKERY or JS Composer in the backend or the front; everything in the post, page, or product editor is scrambled.
I emptied the cash and tried to deactivate and activate only the plugins I needed, but there was still nothing good; the editor of posts, pages, and products still scrambled.
When is this bug going to be fixed?

Hello,
I didn’t use this theme for a while, I planned to build a new website with it but I’m a little lost.
In the Porto View Options I have only the choice to show or hide the title ?!? Where can I find all the options available in the old panel ?https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/page-options/
Hello, @NexusFred,
Thanks for sharing the link to understand better.
Let me explain, The page/post view options were removed from the theme in the recent version because we introduced the template builder feature in our theme.
The template builder feature allows you to customize/set content with dynamic/static content as per your need.
You can customize almost everything by using the template builder feature of our theme. Those options in the post/page view section will not allow customization of the site as much as the template builder does. I recommend you to please check this article: https://www.portotheme.com/forums/topic/unleashing-creative-freedom-with-porto-themes-full-site-editing-demos/ to learn more about template builder and Full Site editing.
Further you can use Porto >> Page Layout and set any section from there with applying the condition to appear on that specific page.

Thank you for your answer, so that means that to change the sidebar, hide breadcrumbs or enable or disable the sticky header (something I haven’t found how to do in the builder) I have, each time, to build from scratch a new template with the worst builder ever made, Gutenberg? Please tell me I wrong!
Hello, @NexusFred,
No, I mean to say that the view options are also there but those are not available when you use the FSE mode, because FSE mode provides you more functionality and easy-to-use features, that is why we do not recommend using the legacy mode but FSE mode.
In legacy mode, the options are there.
And in FSE mode, you have to set the via Porto >> Page Layout.
To change the sidebar, still you have the view options in FSE mode as well: https://pasteboard.co/cvXKBGQM7SEA.png
To turn ON/OFF the breadcrumbs you have to set them from Porto >> Page Layout: https://pasteboard.co/Gnz75bNg04Sq.png
And if you do not want that and simply want those options back, you can turn OFF the FSE mode from Porto >> Setup Wizard >> Full Site Editing, but please remember that we do not recommend that.
Hope you can understand now.
Regards, P-THEMES.

Hello and thank you for your answer.
The Legacy mode is more powerful to quickly override the default configuration.
FSE mode would have been interesting if it was an option in addition to Legacy mode and would not force you to use the worst builder ever made “Gutenberg”, which is disabled on most WordPress (Classic Editor Extension over 5 million active installations).
To have to choose between FSE or Legacy is a very sad evolution.
Porto becomes less useful year after year.
It’s increasingly time-consuming to use and at each new version harder to customize if you’re not a WordPress expert.
Your solution for hide/show the breadcrumb is ok for a page but for a post … CSS or build a template.
Well, when it’s quicker and easier to modify the theme directly with CSS, that means there are some issues with the way the theme works.
Remember “Perfect is the enemy of good”
Pre Build options are the speedy and secured way to customize a theme for simple “Editor”. And that why we buy one.
Best Regards
Thank you for your feedback.
We understand your frustration and apologize for any inconvenience you’ve experienced with the recent updates.
We appreciate your insights on Legacy mode and FSE mode. Your perspective is valuable to us, and we understand the preference for the Classic Mode which remains a popular choice among many users.
Our aim is to balance new features with user-friendliness, and we regret that the changes have made the theme more challenging for you. Your point about the ease of customization and the need for a simpler, more intuitive approach is well taken.
We take all suggestions seriously and encourage you to share your ideas on our forum [here] https://www.portotheme.com/forums/topic/feature-request/ .
This allows our development team to review them directly and consider them for future updates.
Thank you for helping us improve. We value your input and are committed to making Porto better for all users.

Hi, we use the standard Recent Posts and Recent Portfolio posts that shows 3-4 posts in a carousel format. But all the spacing between the posts is now 0 and the images are stuck to each other. How can we adjust the spacing?
Hello, @ayiliath,
Thanks for the explanation. In the Recent Posts widget, there’s an option called “Column Spacing.” You can use this setting to adjust the space between the boxes. Here’s a screenshot for reference: https://postimg.cc/HrBZ0CJr. I hope this helps resolve your issue.

Hello can Porto have seperate layout for desktop website and mobile website?
Hello, @buru052,
Thanks for showing your interest in our theme.
Let me explain to you. By default, every demo of our theme is designed as the same content appears on mobile/desktop except for several sections.
However, as you asked to differentiate the content for mobile and desktop you can simply achieve it using the Porto Conditional Rendering feature.
Simply edit the pages of the site you want and set the content for both mobile and desktop after that you can simply set the condition on the content you want to show on desktop/mobile. Check this article to understand how to use the Porto Conditional Rendering feature: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/conditional-rendering/

I USE PORTO PRODUCT CATEGORY AT MY HOME PAGE, I WANT TO SHOW AFTER CATEGORY TITLE IN SAME LINE A VIEW ALL BUTTON / BOX, THAT REDIRECT TO SPECIFIED CATEGORY PAGE.. LIKE THIS
ROBE VIEW ALL
IN SAME LINE FOR DESTOP VIEW AND MOBILE VIEW.
Hello, @mjkausar,
Actually, it’s quite simple. Let me explain:
1. First, clear the title field in the category widget settings: https://postimg.cc/qN20xFt4
2. Next, use the Heading widget above the category widget, set the title to something like “ROBE VIEW ALL,” and link it to the specific category you want: https://postimg.cc/rzCq43rT
