Thank you for your interest in our theme. The mobile menu and login is displayed by default by any theme header. You could check some of the theme demos on mobile https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/newspaper-prebuilt-websites/?demo-type=all They all have a mobile header with a menu. The login/register isn’t active on our live demos because we don’t allow registrations on them, but it can be set/activated on the website after installing the theme and the demo. 4. That depends on which footer you are using. Assuming it is a cloud footer template, there should be a background image set on the main row in the footer. Edit for example the homepage with the composer, and in the footer click on the row and check in the CSS tab https://prnt.sc/uNabNe3Lz7RD

5. I’m not sure what socket you are referring to unfortunately. Maybe it was a typo and you meant to write something else.

3. The footer can be customized in the composer. Every background image or background color is set in the composer, usually on the rows, for example for the sub footer – https://prnt.sc/aWXHpx_IE3TG

Issues with the images are usually caused by image optimization plugins. If the images don’t appear, it sounds like a lazyload conflict. In case you are using lazyload from plugins, I suggest deactivating the lazyload from the theme -> https://prnt.sc/gO3G2z9YlGDW But if the issue remains, we will take a look, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. The theme has its own view counter. The count for each post is kept in the post meta table like this https://prnt.sc/aUuOD1Aw7h0E It should be possible to import the data from a different source. We don’t have something like a tool or plugin for it unfortunately. It will have to be done by other means. Please let me know if you have more questions.

Simion, thank you for the hint! Maybe it will be useful to someone: The Publisher and Newspaper themes have view statistics in the wp_postmeta table, but different meta_key fields. For Publisher: “beter-views-count” for Newspaper: “post_views_count”. When deleting an old topic, the statistics of views from the previous topic are not deleted and remain in the database. Is it possible to rename the meta_key “beter-views-count” to “post_views_count” in the database, and remove the native fields “post_views_count” from the database before renaming?

That would work. If you rename the meta key from the previous theme to the one the Newspaper theme uses, the theme should use the values from there. You could test it on a staging/testing install if you decide to purchase the theme. I think it will work fine.

You will receive a license key for the theme, which has to be used to activate it https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-6-how-to-activate-the-theme/ A license key can be used on a main website and a testing/staging website if needed. The key is not bound to one domain, if for example you change your website domain the key can be removed from the old one and used on the new one.

Also, our theme has its own constructor, tagDiv Composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ Also, if by e-paper you mean uploading PDF files to the site and they are automatically converted into articles, with our theme you will have to use a conversion plugin because it does not have this option. Thanks for your swift response. No, I don’t want to convert pdf into articles. pdf or image format is fine. My client is not happy with the current e-Paper design. It should be more professional looking. There should be a date calendar attached to the e-paper’s main page. A reader must select the date from the calendar and the relevant e-newspaper (pdf/image) should be opened in the page body. I see that almost all the competitors have developed this feature on their website (for displaying e-papers). I couldn’t find any WordPress theme which support this feature. If you develop this feature, I will be more than happy to buy this theme.

If you are using mobile page and mobile cloud header, then yes, you should convert all pages, but what can be done is to use the responsive theme version, because our theme provides a header for desktop and one for mobile, so using a cloud header you can create a different header on mobile, and if is the responsive one, this will automatically be display on all pages and templates without to be need to do anything extra. Indeed, this situation is caused by the fact that the version of the plugin was written incorrectly, instead of 1.6.1, 1.6,6 was entered, and because of this, a different version than the last available version is detected. This situation does not affect the proper functioning of the plugin in any way and will be resolved in the near future with the new theme update.
