That could be possible, but it will require using a feed plugin for fetching the posts. The theme by itself cannot do something like that unfortunately. Not sure which plugin to suggest however, you could try some RSS feed plugins.

Simion, I’m sorry, one more suggestion: You have an option with the ability to enable sorting by popularity of posts for “24 hours”, “48 hours” and “7 days”. This is a very good option! But I noticed that each of these three sorting options creates an additional 3 rows in the MySQL database, in the `wp_postmeta` table for each post. I have about 130,000 posts in my database, multiply by 3 and it turns out that 390,000 rows will be added to the table at once, while I’m going to use only one sorting “Popular posts in 7 days”. Thus, about 260,000 rows will just pointlessly clog up an already huge table.
The essence of my suggestion: could you make these sorting options separately pluggable, and not all at once? For example, “only 24 hours” and/or “7 days”. If sorting “48 hours” seems to me to be of little use, then can I just delete the rows with these statistics from the database? Is there any way to prevent certain types of sorting from generating new rows in the database?

Using sorting by popularity can cause performance issues, especially for large websites. The theme will have to count post views of each post, and then keep statistics for each sorting method separately. Maybe these sorting methods could be improved like you mentioned, I will add your suggestion to our list. But I can’t promise anything unfortunately.

Please specify. I recently asked about the use of sorting in the block “Popular in 1 day”, “in 48 hours 1. For example, if you select sorting by popularity of posts for “7 days” in the widget and enable caching for a period of “1 day” in the block (widget), will this reduce the load on the database and processor? I may be wrong, but when caching a page with a plugin, for example LScache, to get the 5 most viewed news for the week, it should be taken from your block cache function (widget), and not pulled from the database every time. Or what?
2. Is it worth enabling your block (widget) caching feature at all if the site uses a caching plugin?

That is a good idea. The block caching should help quite a bit, regardless of the sorting method used on the blocks. If you don’t publish posts daily, then you could set it to 1 day. But please note that new posts will not appear in the blocks before the caching expires, or before you clear it manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/use-flex-blocks-cache-option/ I suggest activating the cache for all the blocks, the results should be better.

I am currently testing the “FREE NEWS” theme and have encountered such errors:
1. Only 3 photos are displayed on the post page (the main photo, the photo from the sidebar and one photo from the linked posts at the bottom of the page).
Photo preloading is disabled in the Mega menu, photo display is also disabled in widgets and sidebars, but in the browser inspector you can see that full-size photos (not even their reduced copies) from five (!) different news in the amount of 10 copies are loaded at the same time (!): https://skr.sh/sRg8FAvTIkl

2. Despite the enabled Lazyload option, photos hidden on the first screen, including third-party photos that are generated by banner networks, are still uploaded.
I use: Cyberpanel, OpenLiteSpeed web server, PHP 8.1, Autoptimize, W3 Total Cache. If you disable optimization and caching plugins, duplicate photos still appear when the page loads.
Have you encountered such an error before, can you advise how it can be fixed?

That’s the theme lazyload. But it shouldn’t load images multiple times. We will take a look at this as well, if possible please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. Not sure why it does that but we will investigate.
Or, you could leave it deactivated, and use lazyload from autoptimize or from total cache.

Unfortunately that hasn’t been added yet, and I can’t say if or when it will be added. As far as I know from our developer team there aren’t any immediate plans to integrate Razorpay in our subscription plugin. They did try it a while back, but adding it required major modifications to the plugin. So it was decided to postpone the modifications. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi I was using Newspaper Theme during 2016 or earlier with my client’s website which is very high traffic website. Monthly Page views around 10 Lakhs to 20 Lakhs . Due to the performance issues I have changed the theme and moved to publisher theme, now i saw the publisher guys are inactive since years together, no new update they are bringing.
Now I’m Planning to migrate the same client’s website from Publisher theme to Newspaper. Also some new high traffic websites are currently in pipeline for development. So The current version of your theme will be fine for handling high traffic website ? I generally use AWS Lightsail for my clients.
Several News portal client’s of mine also purchased Newspaper license as per my recommendation. Earlier i was using WPBakery Page builder as i didn’t like TD composer. Now what is the situation ? Can i again migrate my huge traffic website to Newspaper theme !

With a proper server, caching and optimization, there should be no problem running our theme on a high traffic website. We are constantly making improvements to the theme and adding features that help with the performance.
WPBakery is still provided with the theme, but since we introduced the composer a few years ago, the WPBakery plugin is optional. There isn’t unfortunately. They will have to be removed from where they are placed. But it depends on how the ads are placed and what kind of ads they are. Smart sidebars are not working on cached pages even after deleting the cache from cloudflare. Only works on uncached pages. I am using litespeed cache.

May its an issue caused by the litespeed optimization settings, not because of the page being cached. Optimization for the CSS and the JS could cause some features from the theme to not work correctly. As I mentioned, you can use any of the available headers on any demo. It is not required to use the header the demo comes with.

Hi, I imported a template from cloud but the fonts do not inherit the theme’s fonts. Do I have to change each element on their own?. 2) Can I set up a CPT like “Team” and make a query looping these posts? 3) I find tag composer not intuitive, can I use something like Greenshit or any other Block Plugin to create new sections? Is there a way to share the same colors and typography between Tagdiv composer and Gutenberg? (maybe through CoreFramework). Thank you

1. If you import a template from the cloud library it will have its own fonts and colors. It will have to be adjusted to match your existing templates. It shouldn’t take too long however.
2. You can create as many CPTs as you want. Then you can display them in the theme blocks and loops, by setting the post type name in the post type field https://prnt.sc/0rwUTiZ6Ov-X There is a block settings guide here if you would like to check it out https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
3. It will simply take some practice with the composer, to be able to use it to the fullest. While you could use something else to build new pages, the pages and templates provided with the demo install or imported from the cloud library, should only be edited with the composer.
4. The theme colors are mostly for theme elements. The composer can be used for basically everything except the post content, but this can be customized as well in the composer in terms of colors and fonts. It depends on what you are using in Gutenberg however.

What happened to CSS Analyzer? Why is it deprecated? What is the alternative?

We decided to remove the theme CSS analyzer a few updates ago. This tool wasn’t performing nicely in some cases, and improving/updating it would have taken a lot of time. Perhaps in the future it will be reworked and introduced again in the theme. There are similar options provided by plugins like wp rocket, litespeed, perfmatters and others. You could try a few plugins.
