Hello, I downloaded my license files Both pdf and text format. 1. When I tried to open with adobe it says Cannot open pdf file . Is corrupt . 2. Text license file. Open it up . it’s full of html codes inside.

PLEASE CHECK.

THANKS

Hi simonsitto999,

Thanks for reaching out to us, could you please tell us which license you are referring? are you referring to the JNews Activation license? if so to activate the JNews theme we are not using any pdf or text license, to activate the JNews license you can follow the documentation below

JNews Activation License

when activating the license, please make sure you are using the same Envato account that you use to buy JNews

Thank you

The latest js_composer update (WPBakery Page Builder 7.9) lost the node_modules directory and all the related css assets like fontawesome are in 404. I manually copied the directory from a backup to /js_composer/assets/lib/vendor and now everything is fine. But why did this problem occur?

Hi, the previous version is: 7.8 and with this version everything on the site was loading correctly.

After the notification of availability of the latest update, I updated the theme and all the available plugins, so now everything is updated to the latest available version.

The current problem, after updating js_composer plugin to version 7.9, is in the use of fontawesome icons that have the css dependency files in that folder.

Even when I enter the page editor, the icons are displayed as many rectangles, because it does not load the styles present in the wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/lib/vendor/node_modules/@fortawesome/fontawesome-free/css/ folder as well as on the frontend of the site that no longer loads the fontawesome icons.

Since there are also other dependencies in that node_modules folder, I would not like there to be some other problem in some other page that perhaps I am missing at this moment.

Anyway, taking the entire node_modules folder from the backup and manually uploading it to wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/lib/vendor obviously solves the icon display problem.

The jeg_breakingnews module has an initial icon that is not displayed after the last update. I have already cleared the cache and run all the possible tests, I don’t understand why it happens.

Even if using fontawesome or the node_modules folder had been deprecated as a solution, why are the icons not displayed correctly through a possible new implementation?

Clearly there is some problem that is escaping.

Also because where should the icons on the backend get the styles to display if the resources are requested for a URL that does not exist?

Check the screenshot below to better understand what I’m talking about:

https://prnt.sc/uEqHMwXu4q_E

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have reviewed your report and identified the missing assets. We’re currently working on a fix, which will be included in the upcoming update. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience as we resolve this issue.

Thank you

Perfect! Thank you so much

We’re planning to buy a license, but we got a quick question please kindly reply;

We will go with “Morning News” theme but it doesn’t has a news slider. So, can the default news theme slider be adopted easily to Morning News? Is this possible? Do you have any documentation to do this, if we buy a license?

Thank you.

Hi animaproduksiyon,

thanks for your interest in our theme, yes JNews theme slider can be easily added to the morning news, and pages in our demo can be edited in Elementor or WP bakery, so to edit a page you can do it by just dragging and dropping, below is the example of Elementor interface when editing a page

if you need help to edit the page, our support team in our official support forum can help you

A couple of Pre Sales questions:

1. Does it have import functionality from youtube? OR Any recommened plugin to import videos from youtube?

2. I would like to disable upload option for users, is that possible.

3. Comment moderation is auto detecting abusive words?

4. For monetization, can i add short 10 second ads within the video?

5. I see that it embeds the YouTube player, does the theme comes with its own player or any recommendation for video player?

6. Does the video theme has its own Like, dislike and share options or they also come through Youtube?

7. Is it possible to create sub categories?

8. Any documentation related to JNews+ Video?

9. Does it include a mobile app ?

Thanks

Hi hammadahmad1,

for YouTube, if you want to create a post from a YouTube video, you can copy the YouTube video URL to JNews post meta, to create a video post, below is an example of how our theme displays video posts from YouTube

Playit Demo

to limit access such as uploading posts you can use the wp user role editor plugin

wp user role editor plugin

for the video player, we are using WordPress default video player and for the embedded YouTube video we are using iframe

for the ads, we have several ad slot options that can be used to add the ads to posts, but unfortunately, we don’t have a feature to add the ads within the video

JNews Ads Option

yes our theme has our own likes, dislikes, and shared feature

you can create primary categories with a theme and then you can assign other categories to the same posts as subcategories

below is the documentation for our video feature

JNews Video documentation

sorry, unfortunately at this point, we don’t have a feature to detect abusive words and mobile apps, you may need to use a third plugin for this

Thank you

dude what is happening to this theme ? almost all of the themes versions are showing so many bugs man , esport theme , the city news and that android news . this used to be such nice theme. and why is everything so slow , is it because of all the plugins that gets added with installing the themes, dude why are there 20 plugins and so many i wont even need .

Hi accpracc1,

thanks for reaching out to us, Could you let us know more about the specific bugs you’re encountering? We’ve tested the eSport, City News, and Android demos on our end, and they’re running as expected. If you’re facing any issues, it might help to clear your site’s cache if you’re using a caching plugin or a CDN, please also try disabling third-party plugins that have not been related to JNews for a while

Regarding the plugins, we separate different features into individual plugins to offer more flexibility and enhance performance. This approach allows you to only activate the plugins you need for your site. By only enabling the necessary plugins, you can achieve better performance and tailor the theme’s functionality to suit your needs.

Hello. There is a tremendous drop in visits to my website through Google Discover. This decline coincides with its last update. Could it be that they touched something in the jnews template code? Thank you.

Hi DeDvdes,

A sudden drop in visits, especially through Google Discover, can indeed be concerning, but it’s typically related to visibility adjustments rather than theme changes. Here are some steps you can try to help troubleshoot and potentially restore your traffic:

Google Search Console: First, please check for any visibility issues or errors in Google Search Console, as this can provide insights into any indexing or discoverability issues.

Disable Third-Party Plugins: Temporarily disable any third-party plugins not directly associated with the JNews theme to rule out conflicts that could be affecting visibility.

Clear Cache: Clear both your website’s cache (if you use a caching plugin) and CDN caching if you are using one. Sometimes, cache-related issues can impact performance and site visibility.

What paywall features are available with the JNews theme by default?

What do you need to be able to use Stripe?

Do you have to purchase WooCommerce Subscriptions to use the paywall features?

If you do have to purchase WooCommerce Subscriptions, what added benefit is there to have WooCommerce Subscriptions?

Thanks for your help with these questions.

Hi gim01,

Thanks for reaching out to us, yes paywall is JNews built in feature, you can check the feature that our paywall offers in the link below

JNews Paywall Feature

to set up Stripe you need the stripe publishable key and stripe secret key which you can obtain from the Stripe website, to set up Stripe for a paywall you can check our documentation below

JNews Paywall Documentation

if you want to use Stripe or Paypal for our Paywall, you don’t need to subscribe to woo-commerce subscriptions

if you want to integrate a payment gateway that Woocommerce subscription offers in this List, you can consider to subscribe to Woocommerce subscription

Thank you

Hi there.

Thank you for the quick reply!

I’m still a bit confused because your JNews Paywall Documentation says this

“4.2.3. Simple Subscription ( WooCommerce Subscriptions ) product :

You need to check JNews Post Subscribe option then set the product Subscription Price and Billing Time”

Does this mean you must have “WooCommerce Subscriptions” installed to be able to have a “Simple Subscription?

for the simple subscription, you don’t need to have a Woocommerce Subscription, you can choose Stripe or PayPal for the payment

Thank you

An actual user posted this in a review: “this is really not fully compatible with elementor, to customise colours you have to go to support to get them to write you CSS and it is just not very use friendly.” Is that true?

Hi JEdw411,

Thanks for reaching us, we would like to clarify that our theme is fully compatible with Elementor, and we even provide demo content specifically for Elementor users. Additionally, our theme includes a wide range of modules and elements designed for Elementor, offering extensive customization options to meet most design needs.

That said, we understand that each project can have unique requirements. In some cases, users may require additional customizations that go beyond the built-in options, and for those specific cases, our support team is happy to assist with custom CSS if needed.

you can check the elements and options that we provide for Elementor in our sandbox in the link below

I have 2 websites with 2 different licenses. I updated to 11.6.4 and now when I Create, Save, Update a post/page it takes about 2-5 minutes to load! I ‘ve made the mistake to update the 2nd one also to 11.6.4 (from 11.6.3) and I ‘m facing the same problem on the 2nd website. I changed PHP from 8.0 to 8.2… nothing changed. When I disable JNews Essential plugin it loads a bit faster. When I select another theme (i.e. Twenty Twenty-Four) everything goes super speedy. What happened here?

Hi akisp,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Typically, the post editor should not take this long to load. To help troubleshoot the issue, please temporarily disable any third-party plugins not related to JNews and check if there is a plugin conflict.

If the problem persists, kindly reach out to us through the link below, and please include the latest error log from your site in your message:

The built-in recipe module isn’t robust or powerful enough. It doesn’t allow for doubling output size, calculations or conversions like the more powerful stand-alone WP recipe plugins do. Does JNews fully integrate and support any of these superior WP Recipe plugins?

Hi JEdw411,

Thanks for reaching us, You are welcome to try third-party WP recipe plugins to enhance these functionalities. However, please note that the compatibility may depend on the specific plugin you choose
