Hi, I’m evaluating this theme for a performance-sensitive project and had a few technical questions before purchasing.

I’ve tested several demos (Auto, Spa, Non-Profit) in Lighthouse and noticed relatively low performance scores, primarily due to render-blocking CSS/JS and long load times.

Looking deeper in DevTools, I’m seeing what appears to be duplicate asset loading in some cases (e.g. jQuery, jQuery Migrate, and Revolution Slider scripts being requested more than once).

Could you clarify:

1. Is duplicate script loading expected behaviour in the demos, or is this specific to the demo setup? 2. Does the theme provide a way to conditionally load assets (e.g. only load Slider Revolution or animation libraries when actually used on a page)? 3. Is it possible to disable or dequeue unused CSS/JS without breaking core functionality? 4. Are there any built-in performance optimisation features (e.g. script deferring, asset bundling, critical CSS)? 5. What kind of Core Web Vitals / Lighthouse performance should be realistically achievable on a clean install without heavy custom optimisation?

Performance and maintainability are important for this project, so I just want to understand how much control we have over frontend loading.

Thanks in advance.

Hi There,

1. The demos run an older version of the theme. jQuery isn’t required to run the theme anymore.
2. There is a core JS file and Elements with larger JS loads are conditionally loaded if you have them on your page. The same goes for all our Max plugins. We can’t speak for Slider Revolution as that is a third party plugin, but if you don’t install it nothing from them will ever load.
3. There is a Core JS file that is required. Each Stack has it’s own CSS file. In Pro you can utilize the Blank Stack for only the bare essential CSS. You can probably dequeue the files, but you would be on your own.
4. You would typically utilize a performance plugin for most of those features. Customers don’t have many problems with using them.
5. We have plenty of sites and customer sites that hit 90s on lighthouse scores. It isn’t too difficult too. Check out this customer review for how fast things are out of the box.

Cheers!

Pre-sales question – I already have MEC Free installed with some configurations. How best to install MEC PRO via X?

Hi There,

Thanks for reaching out! That would be a good question for the MEC folks. We simply include the plugin they provide us. My guess is you wouldn’t have any issues, but probably better to double check with them.

Cheers!

Hi, I have a valid license linked to this account. In my License Dashboard at theme.co, I updated the “LOCATION” url for my license to the correct site where the theme is installed, but validation in the wp dashboard “X -> Validation” still fails saying “Your code is valid but looks like it has already been used on another site. You can revoke and re-assign within your Themeco account.”.

I have done the re-assigning and also manually installed the latest version of the theme, but nothing helps.

I am aware that my official support has expired, but this issue relates to basic usage and activation issues which should not require an active support subscription.

Hi There,

You need to make sure the license has been fully revoked at the other site (removed). Once that is done, the license will be freed up to be able to be re-assigned and validate the new location. You can renew support with one of these options if you’d like a member of the team to further investigate what may be going on in your case or with your particular setup.

Cheers!

Third time is hopefully a charm, as you keep deleting my comment. I will rephrase yet again. Where can modern web design elements be found in X theme?

There are transcripts from the YouTube videos if that helps. Simply click “Show Transcript” at the bottom of the video description. Our docs are also full of detailed tutorials.

I appreciate your helpful replies here. I will have a look.

You’re most welcome!

Hi, how can I updatre LayerSlider to the latest version 7.15.1? the X update package is not include this only up to 7.11.1

Hi There,

This article tracks the latest supported versions and is generally updated weekly. Once the new version is approved, you’ll see it reflected there. If you are properly validated, you’ll be prompted in the WordPress admin to update and won’t need to wait on the X package update at ThemeForest to be updated.

How to remove the woocommerce countdown banners (product page, product category and who knows where) for discounted products? This should not be automatically enabled? I can’t just simple hide it with css.

Hi There,

Thanks! It was strange i didn’t find that by myself, so i needed to check and sadly was using a theme with similar name on that site and got it mixed up! (I do have also websites with X and Pro.

No worries!

Hi, the latest X theme is compatible with woocommerce 10?

Hi There,

Thanks for reaching out! We always keep X compatible with the latest version of WooCommerce.

Cheers!

after last update the theme is not validated anymore. Under https://theme.co/account/license the license is listed with the right domain. If i try to validate in the WP-Backend i got the following error: cURL error 28: Failed to connect to community.theme.co port 443 after 10002 ms: Timeout was reached The server under community.theme.co seems to be down for several weeks resp. sends back: status: “404”, message: “Unknown API endpoint `/`” please fix your validation service.

Hi There,

Thanks for reaching out! We are not received reports of other validation issues, so it sounds like something with your hosting environment or site specifically. The community.theme.co location was used in the past, but hasn’t been used for validation in several years. Please revoke your validation and then re-apply, or speak with your host directly to make sure they are not blocking access to the update server. If you need anything further, renew support with one of the following options.

We are experiencing a design-related issue with the navigation menu on our website. When adding multi-level navigation items, the navigation icon layout becomes distorted.

Could you please help us resolve this issue? The details are as follows:

We are encountering an error related to the Cornerstone plugin on our website. Could you please assist us in resolving the issue? The details are as follows:

X Theme Version: 10.6.6, Cornerstone Plugin Version: 7.6.6, Wordpress Version: 6.8.1, PHP Version: 8.2.28

Error: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the cornerstone domain was triggered too early. Good day I have a challenge to validate my theme at a new location and new domain even after going to the validation page and changing the URL to the new temporary URL and staging URL. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the old site where the theme was initially installed. When I enter the code, I keep getting the message that “Your code is valid but looks like it has already been used on another site. You can revoke and reassign within your Themeco account.” I am not sure what other step is missing in the revocation process.

Hi There,

You will need to login to the Themeco account where the license was registered and change the URL of the license by following these instructions. It also looks like the support period of your license has expired, and if you need anything further, you can renew with one of these options.

Cheers!

Good day,

I can’t access my Themeco account. When I reset my password, I don’t get an email.

Please help!

Hi There,

Please contact us directly with the purchase code and email on file.

Good day. I was not able to keep up with the hosting fees at Bluehost and could not transfer my website out of Bluehost either due to some hidden policy clause that I was not aware of at the time of joining. As a result, that website is no longer functional, and the domain expired. I therefore cannot access it to disable the theme there in order to use it on a new website with a new domain. Can you help me deactivate it to make the transfer possible?

Hi There,

If you added the license to your Themeco account, you can login and change the URL for validation purposes from there. More instructions on how to do this can be found here.

Cheers!

My license is valid and it is showing in my downloads list in themeforest. But when i goto my site and try inputting code, it says: Your license of X is not validated. Place your Envato purchase code or Themeco license to unlock automatic updates, access to support, and Extensions. Learn more about product validation or manage licenses directly in your Themeco account.

When i goto themeco the revoke option do not show up, nor do have any license and it says it is assigned to another user, but i do not have any other account or site where i added the code.

Hi There,

The license associated with your account was transferred by you to another Themeco account, and that is why the license can’t be used.

Cheers!

Hi, do you use in your theme code like it apply_filters( ‘the_title’); ? Without the second argument, it can produce errors like those reported here PHP Fatal error: Uncaught ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function Vc_Autoload_Manager::{closure}(), 1 passed in /srv/http/parisdiarybyla ure.com/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 324 and exactly 2 expected in /srv/http/example.com/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/autoload/hook-wpb-hide-titl e.php:13 Stack trace: #0 /srv/http/example.com/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(324): Vc_Autoload_Manager->{closure}() #1 /srv/http/example.com/wp-includes/plugin.php(205): WP_Hook->apply_filters() #2 /srv/http/example.com/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/shortcodes/share.php(34): apply_filters() #3 /srv/http/example.com/wp-includes/shortcodes.php(434): x_shortcode_share() #4 [internal function]: do_shortcode_tag() #5 /srv/http/example.com/wp-includes/shortcodes.php(273): preg_replace_callback() #6 /srv/http/example.com/wp-content/themes/x/framework/legacy/functions/plugins/visual-composer.php(

I found an error in your plugin ‘Conrstone’ here https://i.imgur.com/MVFvrQ0.png You should use the second argument for apply_filters( ‘the_title’) with post_id otherwise, any other plugin like wpbakery can use something like

add_filter( ‘the_title’, function ( $title, $post_id ) { if ( wpb_is_hide_title( $post_id ) ) { return ’’; } return $title; }, 10, 2 );

And every time it will be a fatal error cos you do not provide a second argument for a filter.

Hi There,

We’ll have a fix for the_title filter soon, most likely in our next point release later this month.

Cheers!

Hey.

Latest of WPBakery page builder (v. 8.3.1) breaks the blog page on any style stack (Integrity, Renew, etc. I can reproduce it on the Renew stack. This error has been published also here by someone else: https://theme.co/forum/t/blog-posts-no-longer-showing-on-blog-page-intergrity-stack/112245

Solution is to disable WPBakery Page Builder. As theme author, you may want to reach out to WPBakery so you can help them fix this critical issue that are currently getting your clients.

Hi There,

Feel free to reach out to WPBakery if there is a problem with the plugin as we have no visibility into their development. We simply integrate the bundled version they make available, and once it is released, we will make it available to customers.

Hello @THEMECO, will the issue in the Cornerstone plugin mentioned by @dollar4444 be fixed? This issue has also been mentioned to me by the WPBakery team on Facebook. “We had found the issue in Cornerstone plugin as well. However we found an area in WPBakery Page Builder that requires fix as well. This fix will be likely available in 8.4 release.”

Hi there, quick question. I purchased a license several years ago for X. The website I used it for has since been shuttered. Am I able to use the license on a new website?

Hi There,

Sure! You can reassign the license from within your Themeco account by following these instructions.
