Hello, Each time the theme is updated I have to setup the theme again and I have lost every setting like colors, logo etc. Please advise.

I can’t say why that is happening unfortunately, it’s not normal. But we could take a look at the website, check the logs, etc. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website, admin login, also access to cPanel or FTP or something similar. We will look for clues about this issue.

Is it version 12.7 that was released on April 29, 2025?
I received an email from Envato Market (do-not-reply@market.envato.com) saying: “We’d like to let you know that an update to your item Newspaper – News & WooCommerce WordPress Theme by tagDiv is now available.”
However, I don’t see any update available in my Newspaper Theme Panel.

The latest update was 12.7.1, which was a security update https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-changelog/ The update should appear in the theme updates panel after pressing the check for updates button. Or the theme can be updated manually. In case there are any issues please let us know.

Hello. I bought the Newspaper – News & WooCommerce WordPress Theme, for multilingualism I use the polylang plugin, but I noticed that it does not work correctly with the author’s pages. Question, is the polylang plugin compatible with this theme? How can I solve my problem? Thank you!

For a multilingual website we recommend using WPML if possible, because our theme and especially the cloud templates work fine with it. The polylang plugin as far as I know does not work with our cloud template system unfortunately. Most of our users use the WPML, so our developer team made adjustments in the theme in order to be supported fully. Other plugins may not work correctly with the theme. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Also if maybe you are using any image optimization plugins or services, these will compress the images and some loss in quality is to be expected. Update to 12.7.1 clean out all my theme settings, how to revert it ? All settings for every single page I did are gone, even i had to register again the theme
Old settings doesnt work, can not dowload and active 12.7 … WTH Devs ?!

That is not normal. The theme should never reset itself after updating it. But if it did, you could try restoring the theme from the theme panel https://prnt.sc/1YHJxCHK1Zih or restoring a website backup if there one available. i detected a bug, when i use different footer template in shop page or other pages, and enabled Footer delayed load from theme footer settings then global footer load, when i disbale Footer delayed load then different footer load.

In the single article view at the top i have : author text, the date of publication, post view counter and comments counter. Can i add there also a Location text box to show which country and city is this article for?

You could use the theme subtitle field. There is no problem if you want to use that plugin. The theme will display the external image and will not create any thumbs. Thumbs are created only when uploading images in the media library.

That gallery can be used in pages, but only if you have the ACF pro plugin. The ACF plugin provides a gallery only in the pro version https://prnt.sc/OXa__g3betxO Then the gallery element from the composer can be used to display it https://prnt.sc/LhG6Qh4G-hO_ For posts it’s not require to use ACF. For posts you can simply add the images in the post edit screen https://prnt.sc/TITfptvz8i8O and add the gallery element in the post template with the composer.

Current version has a bug with buttons element. The button selection for style has disappeared, but visible on a demo installed button.

I will notify our developer team about this. I know there were some modifications made to the button element a while back, to simplify it. But I don’t believe the styles option should be missing. They will look into it and it will be fixed. In the meantime if you have older buttons that have the styles, please use those by copy paste where you need to. I’m unable to unassign my local website that we built on a local server. After making the website live, we’re trying to assign it to the main domain, but it’s still showing as linked to the local environment. The unassign option isn’t working either. Need help.
