can I import and auto create busienss profiles from google sheet data? if I scrape it from Google business before.

Hi there,

Great question!

With the Listify theme, bulk importing listings is indeed possible using the WP All Import plugin, which the theme is compatible with.

If you’ve scraped business data from Google and stored it in a Google Sheet, you would first need to export it as a CSV file. From there, you can import the data into your WordPress site using WP All Import.

However, please note that:

You’ll need to manually map each column in your CSV (e.g., title, description, address, phone, etc.) to the appropriate listing fields used by Listify.

This process is doable, but it can be quite involved, especially if you have many custom fields or if your scraped data isn’t clean or consistent.

So yes — it is possible, but it will take some effort to ensure everything imports properly and displays as expected.

Let us know if you’d like a general guide on how to structure your CSV for WP All Import!

Hi… has this been fixed with the latest release please?

“There is currently a known compatibility issue between the latest version of WP Job Manager and the search functionality in Listify. Our development team is aware of this and is actively working on a long-term solution to restore compatibility without disrupting your site’s core features.

In the meantime, keeping WP Job Manager at version 1.40.2 is the recommended temporary workaround to maintain search functionality. We’ll notify all users as soon as a patch or updated theme release is available to safely support the newer plugin versions.

We appreciate your patience, and please rest assured that this is a priority for us.”

Hi there,

Thanks for following up.

To investigate the issues you’re currently experiencing, we would still need a support ticket created where you can securely share your WordPress admin and FTP credentials with us. This allows our team to dig deeper and identify the exact cause of the slowness and search functionality behavior you’re seeing.

Please note that in order to receive technical support, Envato requires an active support license. This is part of their terms and applies across all themes and authors on the platform. While we understand your frustration and history, continued support beyond the included period does require renewal.

That said, we’ve already resolved several major pain points with the theme in recent updates, including compatibility with newer WP Job Manager versions. Once you share your site access via a support ticket, we’ll be happy to review your setup thoroughly and help get things working smoothly.

You can create a ticket here: CCreate a New Ticket

Looking forward to assisting you further.

But Brian, you have acknowledged that there was an issue your side and we rolled back to the previous WP manager version which has helped as a temporary fix. We’ve bought support licenses before only for you to acknowledge similar issues with the theme. Why do we have to keep paying to bring issues with the theme to your attention?

Hi there,

Thanks for your continued feedback and I completely understand where you’re coming from.

To clarify, the compatibility issue between Listify and the latest version of WP Job Manager that you originally reported was indeed acknowledged and has since been resolved through a theme update. This fix was implemented after your initial report, and we truly appreciate your patience during that period.

If you’re now encountering issues even after updating both Listify and WP Job Manager, it’s likely caused by something else — such as a plugin conflict, hosting configuration, or customizations on your site. To properly diagnose this, we would need access to your WordPress admin area and ideally FTP — which, as mentioned before, is handled securely via our support ticket system.

Unfortunately, without access through a support ticket, there’s very little we can do from our end, as we’re unable to assess your site environment or test the issue in a safe way (e.g., on a staging copy).

We understand your concern about paying for support again, especially when past issues were theme-related. However, per Envato’s policy, technical support is only available with an active support license. This applies across all items and authors on the platform — not just us.

That said, we are more than willing to help resolve the issue for you once a ticket is submitted. We’ve addressed many of the past pain points in recent updates and will ensure that your setup is functioning optimally as well.

You can create a ticket here: https://astoundify.com/account/new-ticket/

We’re here to help and want to make sure your project runs smoothly.

can someone confirm that listify now comes with job manager plugin instead for the website? also how can i upload my categories? im very unsure what is happening, i bought this theme a few years ago i never used it now that i have come to use it it seems like a lot has changed.

Your theme (Listify Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:

Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version. If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.

My conclusion. do not buy this plugin unless you are ready to buy other bundles from the author! i cant even find the listing payments bundle

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We’re happy to clarify everything for you regarding Listify and help you get back on track using the theme.

1. Is Listify now a job board theme? Listify is not a job board theme by default. It is still a directory listing theme, and its flexibility allows it to be used for various types of directories — including business listings, services, and even job listings if that’s your use case.

The confusion likely comes from the use of the WP Job Manager plugin, which is bundled with the theme. This plugin serves as the engine for listing management, regardless of the listing type (e.g., restaurants, businesses, events, or jobs). Think of WP Job Manager as the framework that enables listings, not strictly job postings.

You can customize your terminology and features to fit your specific directory niche using plugins and settings.

2. How to Upload Categories You can create or import listing categories in two ways:

A) Manually via WP Admin: Go to Job Listings > Categories.

Add your categories one by one.

B ). Import via CSV: To bulk upload categories and listings:

Install the WP All Import plugin or a similar CSV importer.

Use a CSV file formatted with appropriate headers (e.g., Title, Description, Category, etc.).

Map the CSV fields to your listing fields during import.

We can guide you step-by-step through this if you provide your data format.

3. WooCommerce Template Warning The warning you’re seeing:

“Your theme (Listify Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files…”

This is a common notification and not necessarily an error. It appears when WooCommerce updates its templates and the theme hasn’t yet been updated to reflect those changes.

Recommended action:

Make sure both the Listify parent theme and the Listify Child theme are updated to their latest versions.

If you’re using a heavily customized child theme, you may need to manually update the WooCommerce template files inside your child theme.

We’re happy to help review those template files if needed.

4. Concerns about Additional Plugins (e.g., Listing Payments) We understand the frustration when expectations aren’t clear. Listify includes a lot of core functionality, but some advanced features like paid listings do require the use of WP Job Manager add-ons, such as:

Listing Payments (to charge users for submissions)

WooCommerce Paid Listings (integrates with WooCommerce)

These are third-party extensions maintained by WP Job Manager, not part of the theme itself. This modular structure allows users to choose only the functionality they need.

In Summary: Listify is still a directory theme and uses WP Job Manager as the listing engine, not just for jobs.

You can customize your listing categories and terminology to match your niche.

WooCommerce template warnings are common and often resolved with a theme update.

Some advanced features are optional paid extensions, not included by default.

Please let us know your specific use case (e.g., real estate, local businesses, services) and we’d be glad to recommend the exact setup and plugins you need — no unnecessary purchases.

Thanks again for your patience, and we’re here to help you get the most out of your Listify setup.

Does this work with the wpdiscuz plugin

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out.

At the moment, there have been no official compatibility tests conducted between our theme and the wpDiscuz plugin, so we cannot guarantee that it will work seamlessly with our setup.

If you decide to try it out, we recommend testing it in a staging environment first to ensure it behaves as expected.

Hi there,

Thank you for your interest in the Listify theme!

To answer your questions:

Hiding the map section: Yes, it’s possible to hide the map that appears behind the details on the companies category page. You can do this either by adjusting the theme settings or by using some simple CSS.

RTL and Arabic support: Absolutely! The Listify theme is compatible with RTL (Right-To-Left) languages like Arabic. You can also use popular translation plugins like WPML to fully translate the site, including all text and fields, into Arabic.

Hi there,

hi there. does this theme support pricing and ecommerce out-of-the-box? I didn’t see anything to suggest that in the demo.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out!

The theme is primarily designed as a listing directory theme, so its core features focus on showcasing listings rather than traditional eCommerce.

That said, the theme is compatible with WooCommerce, which means you can absolutely incorporate pricing and eCommerce features by leveraging WooCommerce’s capabilities. This allows you to offer paid listings, packages, or even sell products if needed — though it will require a bit of setup on your end.

If you need help configuring WooCommerce within the theme, we’d be happy to guide you through it.

Where can I download WP Job Manager 1.40.2 to restore search functionality?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out!

We don’t have direct access to previous versions of the WP Job Manager plugin. However, you can revert to an earlier version like 1.40.2 by using a plugin such as WP Rollback, which allows you to easily switch to a previous version of plugins from the WordPress repository.

Alternatively, we recommend reaching out to the plugin developers directly to see if they can provide you with the specific version you’re looking for.

Let us know if you need help with the rollback process!

Updating WP Job Manger breaks the listing search. After some digging it appears that I am not the only one and cannot find a solution. I have to keep WP Job Manager out of date (1.40.2) in order to have the site continue to function as designed. Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. Currently, the Listify theme does not have a mobile app solution. The theme is designed for use within a web browser, and there is no native mobile app available at this time.

If you require mobile app functionality, you would need to explore custom development options, which may involve working with a developer to create a mobile app that integrates with the Listify theme.

I’ve been using Listify for many years, and only now have I discovered that the listing gallery images light box always shows “Image could not be loaded.” Looking at Inspect Network tab shows loading page for image, not just JPEG. When did this break and will it be fixed in an upcoming release? Thanks! https://imgur.com/a/z55BhP4

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your findings!

We’ve gone ahead and tested this option on our end by disabling Customize ▸ Listings ▸ Labels & Behavior ▸ Allow comments on gallery images, and we weren’t able to replicate the same issue. The only change we observed is that the gallery images now open in a lightbox on the listing page instead of redirecting — and the images load correctly as expected.

If you’re still experiencing the “Image could not be loaded” issue, we recommend either:

Submitting a support ticket via our helpdesk so we can investigate this more closely: https://astoundify.com/account/new-ticket

Or performing basic troubleshooting steps such as checking for plugin conflicts or reviewing your gallery and theme settings.

We’re happy to assist further once we receive more details.

Hello, Do we need to buy additional plugin for instance claim plugin and others? thanks

Hi there

Thank you for your question regarding additional plugins for the Listify theme.

The theme itself comes with all the essential features for listing creation and management. However, if you require extra functionality like claim listing or paid listings, then additional plugins will be needed. You can refer to the following page for more details on the plugins you might need based on your desired features:

Addon Bundle Plugins for Listify Theme

For example, the Claim Listing feature requires a specific plugin to enable users to claim their listings, and the Listings Payments feature can be achieved by integrating the appropriate plugin for payment processing.

Please review the list and let us know if you need any further assistance in setting up these features.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. Currently, we do not have any plugins officially tested with our theme that support Pay Per View (PPC) functionality. However, I recommend looking for plugins that integrate well with WooCommerce and WP Job Manager, as this can be a good starting point for implementing PPC models. You may need to try out various options that are compatible with both WooCommerce and PPC features.

If you need further assistance, feel free to let me know!

Best regards, Brian

Presales question: Do you have ‘pay per view’/ppc as monetary option? I want to charge the clients based on how many times a listing was viewed in a month.

Hi there

Thank you for reaching out with your question about the Listify theme.

Currently, the Listify theme does not include a built-in pay-per-view (PPC) functionality for charging clients based on the number of views a listing receives in a month. This feature would require custom development or integrating a third-party app or plugin that supports PPC functionality.

If you’re interested in implementing this feature, we recommend working with a developer to create a solution that fits your needs, or exploring compatible apps or plugins that could integrate with your website.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance or have other questions regarding the theme’s functionality.
