Currently, the STM plugin being enabled on the site results in some, but not all, Courses to display a 503 error. Caching isn’t at fault and renaming URLs, resetting permalinks, or disabling other plugins, doesn’t fix it. Specific Lessons, Sections, Quizzes, or Assignments don’t cause it. It seems like server issue, but we can’t seem to find the common thread. Everything is up to date. All requirements are met regarding the background setup. Only enabling the STM plugin results in the issue. It doesn’t affect all Courses, but not a single one either. For now we have to run the site without the STM plugin enabled in order for users to get to their Courses.

Hello there,

Thank you for reaching us out!

I have checked your website configuration and noticed that you are currently running an outdated version of the theme. Therefore, I strongly recommend that you first create a full backup of your website and then proceed to update both the theme and all its associated plugins to their absolute latest versions. Once the update is complete, please try disabling all third-party plugins one more time to verify if the issue persists with the new code base.

Please let me know how it goes after taking these steps.

Best regards,

I am experiencing a critical performance issue that prevents the Elementor editor from loading. After a deep dive into the logs, I have identified the root cause in the following file: plugins/masterstudy-lms-learning-management-system/_core/includes/elementor/widgets/deprecated/stm_lms_featured_teacher.php

The Problem: On line (95-105), the code uses get_users() to fetch all users from the database without any pagination or role filtering. It then iterates through every user to check \STM_LMS_Instructor::is_instructor($user_id).

On my website, there are 57,000+ users. Fetching and looping through 57,000 user objects during the Elementor initialization process causes a memory exhaustion error and PHP timeouts, making the editor unusable.

Hello there,

Thank you very much for your detailed report. We have immediately forwarded it to our development team for review.

The performance issue you are experiencing is occurring because your site is utilizing the deprecated ‘Featured Teacher’ widget, which indeed processes user data inefficiently at that scale. As a quick and effective temporary solution, we strongly recommend replacing this deprecated widget with the ‘Courses’ widget and setting its display type to ‘Featured Teacher’ as shown in this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/uyU3GqpkCulG , which should resolve the loading issue.

Please let me know if you have more questions.

Best regards,

Hi,

Thank you for your response, but I believe there is a misunderstanding regarding how this bug affects the system.

I am not actually using the ‘Featured Teacher’ widget on my pages. The problem is that the Elementor Editor fails to load (stuck on the loading screen) for any page, even blank ones.

The reason is that during the Elementor Editor initialization process, all registered widgets (including deprecated ones) are loaded into the backend. The code in stm_lms_featured_teacher.php runs as soon as the Elementor editor starts to build its widget panel. Because it tries to fetch 57,000 users at that moment, the server hits the memory limit or execution timeout before the editor can even open.

Simply not using the widget on a page does not solve the problem, as the file is still active in the plugin’s core. The only way I could fix the Elementor loading issue was to manually delete or comment out the problematic code in your plugin files.

Please ask the development team to add a proper role filter or a limit to the get_users query in that deprecated file to prevent it from crashing large-scale WordPress sites during the Elementor init process.

Thank you for taking the time to explain this in detail, and I’m sorry for the confusion earlier.I appreciate you clarifying how this is affecting your setup.

I’ve also taken a closer look at your site, and I noticed that it’s currently running a very old version of the theme, along with correspondingly old plugin versions: https://prnt.sc/7cMozOdkQDeJ

Most likely, this is a key factor in what you’re experiencing. Over time, both the theme and bundled plugins have gone through significant changes, including performance improvements and adjustments around deprecated functionality. You can review what has been updated and included in newer versions here: https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/extra-materials/changelog

That said, I do want to be very clear: because your current version is quite old, I would not recommend updating directly to the latest version on the live site without testing. A lot of code has changed over time, and a sudden major update could introduce conflicts or breaking changes.

The safest next step would be to try updating the theme and related plugins on a staging or local environment first, and then check whether the Elementor loading issue persists there.

Please try this approach and let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Before buying, I see that there is a separate version of this with all the PRO features. What is the actual price to have all the features enabled? Absolutely all of them.

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching us out!

Yes, you are correct. We offer a separate product called MasterStudy LMS Pro Plus, which is sold independently and includes all the premium features. The price depends on the specific license type you choose, and you can view the full pricing details here: https://stylemixthemes.com/wordpress-lms-plugin/pricing/ .

If you are interested in the Theme itself, for example, because of its ready-made demo layouts, and also want to unlock all the premium features found in the Pro Plus plugin, combining both products is an excellent idea. Moreover, we have a special offer specifically for Theme users who wish to upgrade to the Pro Plus plugin, which you can learn more about here: https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/masterstudy-pro-plus/upgrade-to-pro-plus-for-free .

Please let me know if you have more questions.

I like the plugin however I have a question regarding the pro version. is the layout there locked to Elementor only or can one also use WPBakery too?

Hello there!

Thank you for your interest in our plugin!

If I understand your question correctly, you are referring to the Custom Course Pages feature available for MasterStudy LMS Pro Plus users. To answer your question: yes, currently this specific feature for customizing single course layouts is exclusively compatible with Elementor and does not support WPBakery.

Best regards,

I have tested MasterStudy Pro for 3 months for free on the demo version of my website. I would like to use the trial version on my live website, but I am getting a license issue related to a different email address.

Additionally, when I try to proceed with the purchase, the page I am redirected to says that I do not have permission to access it.

Could you please help me activate the trial period and also assist me with purchasing a one-year license?

Hello there,

Thank you for reaching us out!

I would like to clarify that the trial period is intended specifically for testing the functionality, and since you have already utilized this free period on your demo version, I can only recommend purchasing a full license for your live site.

Regarding the access issue you are encountering during the purchase process, I suggest trying to access the page using a VPN, as this often resolves permission errors related to regional restrictions. If using a VPN does not solve the problem, please contact our support team directly via the contact form on our profile page at https://themeforest.net/user/stylemixthemes so they can assist you futher.

Best regards,

Good job, just a quick one before I buy the theme. Does it come with the master study plugin or I have to buy that separately?

Hello there!

Thank you for your interest in our theme!

To answer your question, yes, the theme package includes the MasterStudy LMS Pro plugin, which covers all the essential and basic functionalities you need to get started.

However, we also offer a separate product called the MasterStudy LMS Pro Plus plugin, which is sold independently from the theme. This version includes everything in the standard Pro plugin but adds exclusive premium addons and advanced settings. Furthermore, please note that moving forward, all new features will be available exclusively for users of the MasterStudy LMS Pro Plus plugin.

You can learn more about both products here: Theme: https://stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy/ Pro Plus plugin: https://stylemixthemes.com/wordpress-lms-plugin/ .

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. We’re happy to help!

My support ended. I just wanted to send you a bug report. The “Password forgotten” function available from the theme’s frontend log in screen does not work.

Thank you for the detailed clarification. Since the functionality works correctly via the backend and no console errors are appearing from our side, it seems that this issue is reproducing specifically within your website’s environment or configuration. To help us identify the root cause, could you please send us screenshots showing the process and the error, so we can analyze the behavior more closely?

Best regards,

hagedorn

hagedorn Purchased

I belive the error is within your programming and that the function is not called. As you said: since it’s working from the backend and only your frontend does not work, I would assume that your programming has a problem.

Sending you a screenshot of your interface and the success message is useless. And the error is, that I don’t receive an email. So a screenshot of my empty mailbox won’t help either.

Please accept my apologies as I seem to have misunderstood your previous message. I have re-tested the case on our end, and I am not observing any issues with email delivery, as you can see here: https://prnt.sc/c38Xg5jaObiO .

Unfortunately, I was unable to check the behavior directly on your site because your security settings have blocked my access: https://prnt.sc/BevSh3D6YgS3 .

Could you please check your spam and junk folders to see if the emails are landing there? If they are not, could you clarify if this is the only email failing to send, or are all emails from the site affected? Also, are you using the WP Mail SMTP plugin? We highly recommend it, as it resolves the vast majority of email delivery issues on WordPress sites.

Hello Support Team,

There is an issue with the header: there is an overlap between the “Become an Instructor” tab and the “Institutions” tab. Additionally, the search icon and the profile icon do not appear on tablets; only the yellow color is visible.

In your tutorials, I could not find an explanation on how to edit these icons or fix the overlap between the tabs. I found detailed tutorials on editing the header for the tablet version, but not for the MasterStudy theme that I am using.

Could you please help me find a solution to this issue?

Thank you.

Hello therу!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

To ensure we are completely on the same page and looking at the exact same problem, could you please provide us with screenshots showing the overlap and the missing icons as they appear on your device? Having visual confirmation of the incorrect display will help us identify the specific cause and guide you toward the right solution.

Best regards,

I’d like to report a CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift) issue related to the theme header.

The issue appears site-wide (not limited to specific pages), but is more noticeable on inner/service pages where CLS values become very high on desktop.

Lighthouse consistently reports the header logo as “Unsized image element”, even though width and height attributes are present and sticky header behavior is disabled.

This suggests the header is recalculating its height or switching states after First Paint, likely via JavaScript, causing a layout reflow that shifts the entire page content.

This seems to be a core header behavior rather than a CSS or image configuration issue and may affect Core Web Vitals compliance.

Thank you for looking into this.

Hello there!

Thank you for the detailed report regarding the CLS issue.

We would like to investigate this case in more detail to identify the exact cause of the layout shift. Please contact our support team directly via the contact form on our profile page at https://themeforest.net/user/stylemixthemes . In your request, it is essential that you include the Lighthouse report, a video or screenshot clearly showing the visible shift on desktop, the URLs of the specific service or inner pages where the issue is reproduced, and your WordPress admin access credentials so our developers can check the behavior directly on your site and apply a fix if necessary.

If I am using the Udemy template, it is compulsory to only sell courses from Udemy website or be affiliate with Udemy?

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching us out!

No, it is not compulsory at all.

The Udemy template in MasterStudy is just a pre-designed demo layout, but it does not restrict you in any way to selling only Udemy courses or being an affiliate.

You can fully create, manage, and sell your own courses directly on your MasterStudy website.

If you have any other questions about setup, I’m happy to help.

Hello, I have two problems:

There is a very slow loading when trying to open the homepage, even though it doesn’t contain anything except a gallery of some courses.

When navigating between pages, besides the slow loading, there is a strong shaking effect in the page content, or the page appears unstable and jittery.

How can these problems be solved?

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out!

To start troubleshooting the slow loading on the homepage and the jittery/shaking effect when navigating between pages, please make sure your site meets our system requirements (you can check them in the theme documentation) and that you’re using the latest versions of the theme and all plugins.

Next, try the standard troubleshooting steps: temporarily disable third-party plugins one by one, starting with any caching plugin, as misconfigured caching often causes loading delays or layout instability, and any customizations. This will help identify if there’s a conflict.

Please let me know if these steps resolve the issue or if the problems persist!

Best regards,

As I trying to update through envato API i am getting this error. https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/58221981?key=fea599d1693c302683637b5f9f53a768 What should I do?

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching us out!

To resolve this, please first make sure your internet connection is stable during the update process. Also, temporarily disable any caching plugins and security plugins, as they can sometimes interfere with the update request.

After that, try updating the theme again.

If the error persists, please submit a support request via the contact form on our ThemeForest item page here: https://themeforest.net/item/masterstudy-education-center-wordpress-theme/12170274 . Please don’t forget to share with your wp-admin credentials. Our team will investigate and help you directly.

Hello,

I purchased the license some time ago, and I saw that in the latest update, the coupon management feature that I had been waiting for is now available.

However, I can’t find it anywhere on the interface. The support team told me that I need to pay for the Pro Plus version, but in the interface, there is no option to upgrade. It just redirects me to your website and asks me to pay for a new license from scratch. So, it’s not at all clear what I’ve already purchased and what I still need to buy…

How can I access the coupon management feature? Is it included in the license or not? If not, how can I get it without paying for a full new license?

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching us out!

Based on your description, it appears that you purchased the MasterStudy Theme, which includes the bundled MasterStudy LMS Pro plugin. I would like to clarify that the native Coupon Management feature is exclusively available for users of the MasterStudy LMS Pro Plus plugin, which is a standalone product sold separately from the theme.

However, we have a special offer specifically for our theme users to acquire the MasterStudy LMS Pro Plus plugin. You can find detailed instructions on how to access this offer here: https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/masterstudy-pro-plus/upgrade-to-pro-plus-for-free .

I also want to highlight that moving forward, all new features will be available exclusively for MasterStudy LMS Pro Plus users.

Best regards,

Is it compatible with PWA?

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching us out!

I would like to inform you that MasterStudy is currently not officially compatible with PWA. This is because we have developed our own dedicated native Mobile Application designed to provide the best mobile experience for your users, which is available as a separate product sold independently from the theme.

Please let me know if you have additional questions!

Best regards,

I have a problem with the grade book. It is not loading properly. Till what PHP version will it work. Here is the screenshot. https://tinyurl.com/255obol9 Let me know what to do.

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching us out.

Unfortunately, the screenshot link you provided is no longer available, so it is difficult for me to assess the specific issue you are facing. To troubleshoot this, please first ensure that you are using the latest versions of the theme and its plugins. Next, I recommend disabling third-party plugins one by one to check for conflicts. Please start with your cache plugin, as this is often the cause of loading problems. If the issue remains, please provide a new screenshot demonstrating what exactly is not working and check the browser Console panel for any error messages.

About PHP version. WordPress recommends to use the 8.3 version and higher, but Masterstudy compatible with 8.4 as well.

Please let me know if you have additional questions!

Best regards,

We have tested your reported issue extensively using PHP 8.4.10, but unfortunately, we were unable to reproduce the problem on our end, as everything appears to be functioning correctly: https://prnt.sc/8RJhVXmTV1Uy . I recommend that you double-check once more that you are indeed running the latest versions of the theme and plugins, and please try temporarily disabling all third-party plugins and any customizations as we suggested previously to rule out conflicts.

Please let us know if the issue persists after taking these steps so we can investigate further.

Best regards,

Hello,

After spending a full day troubleshooting, I identified a critical issue related to the STM Configurations plugin.

When this plugin is activated, several pages built with Elementor and WPBakery Page Builder fail to load correctly. The affected pages either render as blank or display broken layouts. Upon inspecting the page source, the generated HTML output is corrupted, with incomplete or malformed attributes (including broken data-settings, srcset, and other HTML structures).

To confirm the cause, I performed multiple tests:

  • Deactivated all plugins except the page builders
  • Reactivated plugins one by one
  • The issue consistently occurs only when STM Configurations is active
  • Deactivating the plugin immediately restores normal page rendering and clean HTML output

This indicates a clear compatibility or output-buffering issue that directly affects Elementor and WPBakery rendering.

I kindly request that you:

  • Investigate this compatibility problem
  • Provide a fix or workaround
  • Inform me once the issue has been resolved or if additional details are required from my side

This issue has a significant impact on production pages, so your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support.

Hello there!

Thank you for your detailed report and the time you spent troubleshooting this issue.

I would like to suggest that you first verify that you are running the absolute latest versions of the theme and all its associated plugins, including STM Configurations, as compatibility issues often arise from version mismatches. We have tested this on our end and, unfortunately, were unable to reproduce the conflict between STM Configurations and the page builders. If updating the software does not resolve the problem, could you please provide us with screenshots of the specific errors you are seeing and a detailed set of instructions on how we can reproduce this behavior so we can investigate further?

I am sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with the Arabic language in the Course Builder after the latest update. To begin troubleshooting, please first ensure that you are using the absolute latest versions of both the MasterStudy theme and all its associated plugins. Sometimes, language pack updates are tied to core plugin updates. Hello Support Team,

I have tried many LMS plugins while searching for a maximum student limit feature and course start/end date functionality. I found these features available in other LMS solutions, but I genuinely love MasterStudy LMS — it is clean, powerful, and very easy to use.

I would like to kindly request adding the following two features:

Maximum Student Limit per Course Ability to define a fixed number of students allowed to enroll, and automatically close enrollment once the limit is reached.

Course Start and End Dates Ability to set a start date and end date for courses, which is essential for offline and in-person training centers.

These features would make MasterStudy LMS perfectly suitable for training institutes that operate with limited seats and fixed schedules.

Thank you for your great work, and I hope you will consider adding these features in future updates.

Best regards,

Hello there!

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you love our theme and find it powerful and easy to use. We would be incredibly grateful if you could take a moment to leave a positive comment and a 5-star rating on our WordPress page at https://wordpress.org/plugins/masterstudy-lms-learning-management-system/#reviews , as your feedback really helps us grow.

Regarding your request for a student limit feature, we actually have an existing idea for this functionality, so I highly encourage you to vote for it at https://stylemixthemes.cnflx.io/ideas/16202 because the more votes a feature gets, the faster our product managers will investigate the possibility of implementing it.

As for setting specific course start and end dates, there are currently a few ways to achieve this.

One method is to use the Drip Content addon by locking the first lesson until a specific date using the ‘Lock lesson till its start time’ setting, which you can read about here https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/masterstudy-lms-pro-addons/masterstudy-theme-manual-sequential-drip-content#lock-the-lesson-till-its-start-time , and then setting dependencies so other lessons only unlock after the first one is passed.

Alternatively, the MasterStudy LMS Pro Plus plugin, which is sold separately, includes a ready-made ‘Upcoming Course Status’ addon that handles start dates effectively, and you can find details here https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-lms/lms-pro-addons/upcoming-course-status .

For automatically closing a course, we currently have the Time Limit option which expires access after a specific duration, as described here https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/masterstudy-theme-documentation/lms-courses-features/masterstudy-theme-manual-course-builder#access .

Please review these options and let us know if they are suitable for your needs.

Hello Support Team,

I’m facing an issue with the Categories widget in the sidebar.

The widget itself is configured correctly (default WordPress Categories widget, dropdown enabled), however the JavaScript code related to the widget is being rendered as visible text on the frontend instead of being executed inside a <script> tag.

This happens even when cache is completely disabled (?nocache tested).

The issue appears on this page: https://www.arab-academy.com/blog/?nocache

The visible output includes WordPress core widget script: WP_Widget_Categories::widget

Which indicates that the theme is likely not properly handling or closing <script> tags in the sidebar or widget template (possibly sidebar.php or a related template override).

This affects user experience and SEO.

Please check:

Sidebar widget rendering

Any overridden widget templates

Proper script enqueue or closing tags in the theme

Kindly advise on the fix or confirm if this is a known theme issue.

Best regards,

i will delete this widget now to fix it, plz confirm it is problem in my site or in theme and you will fix

Hello there!

Thank you very much for the detailed report and for bringing this to our attention.

I have forwarded this case to our dev team for investigation and debugging. As soon as they resolve the issue regarding the script rendering in the sidebar, we will release a fix in an upcoming theme update. However, at this stage, I unfortunately cannot provide an exact timeframe for when this update will be available.

Please let me know if you have additional questions!
