I’m interested in purchasing the THEGEM WordPress theme and would like to clarify a number of points before proceeding. Please see my questions below:
1. IMPORTANT POINT: Demo Import & Page/Section Selection
If I import the demo content, will my site replicate the live preview exactly (layouts, fonts, colors, sections, widget areas)?
Is it possible to import only specific pages or sections (for example, the homepage from Demo 1, the About page from Demo 3) rather than the full demo set?
Can I build the site in a modular way — selecting sections individually and assembling them across pages — or is the demo import an “all-or-nothing” approach? (because i read comments about this and some people have problem with this case – demo data), also i need to know if i can change the full colors bakcground of theme, my store logo and Interior Design is all about RED color.
2. Homepage & Site Setup
After demo import, what is the correct procedure to set a specific page as the homepage and avoid the “404 – Nothing here” or broken layout errors when editing with builders like Elementor?
If there are multiple homepage demo versions included, can I switch between them easily (without breaking design/customization) and safely revert if I change my mind?
3. Customization & Page Builder Compatibility
Are all sections and templates of the theme fully customizable via Elementor (or the included builder) — or are there parts that require editing theme files manually (PHP, template overrides, etc)?

Each update is carefully tested before release, and all updates (theme and plugins) can be safely performed through the WordPress dashboard. Detailed video tutorials are also available to guide you through the update process.
2. There are no known issues with broken layouts or 404 errors when editing demo pages in Elementor.
3. The “Interactions” feature is disabled by default. It can remain disabled if no effects are preferred. It can also be enabled for specific sections or elements if needed, and the settings can be adjusted to achieve the desired animation or visual effects. It is a helpful add-on for creating dynamic layouts, but it is completely optional.

i like the theme for wpbakery. only annoying is the 21px padding between colums. its either full width no paddings, but boxed with no paddings seems a bridge to far.

I purchased a license and installed it on the website. I activated it, and everything worked correctly.
After a WordPress update, the theme asked me to verify my registration to perform further updates, including the TheGem update.
I re-entered the purchase code, but the following message appeared: “You have exceeded the maximum number of activations allowed by this activation key.” I don’t understand; it’s on the same domain name.
The problem is that some theme elements have disappeared, and the site has display issues.

Hi, I haven’t updated the Gem and plugins for a couple of years and now after update I get 503 server error almost every time I try to access the backend. Did it all got so bloated over the years that my server settings are not sufficient any more or what may be the cause? There wasn’t any problems before the updates.

I’m facing a serious conflict between TheGem Theme and Elementor Pro that makes it impossible to build pages.
Problem:
While editing pages with Elementor, the builder becomes buggy and sometimes crashes.
Right-click is not working inside the page builder:
I can’t copy widgets or containers.
Context menu does not appear on widgets/containers.
This issue happens on all websites where I use TheGem + Elementor Pro.
Important notes:
Everything was working fine before.
The issue started recently, possibly after an update (Elementor, Elementor Pro, or TheGem).
If I disable “TheGem Theme Elements (for Elementor)” plugin, Elementor works normally.
If I disable Elementor Pro and keep TheGem Theme Elements, it also works.
The problem only happens when both Elementor Pro and TheGem Theme Elements are enabled together.
Conclusion: This looks like a compatibility conflict between Elementor Pro and TheGem Theme Elements.
At the moment, I can’t build or edit any page properly because both plugins are essential for my workflow.
