I purchased this theme awhile back and recently tried to update it, however, the update fails and I get the following error message: Update failed: already_used Has anyone encountered this issue and was able to resolve it? Any feedback would be very much appreciated.

The “already_used” message usually indicates that the purchase code registration needs to be refreshed.
Could you please try the following steps? Deactivate the theme license from the theme registration/activation panel. Activate the theme again using the same purchase code.
Once the theme has been successfully reactivated, try updating the theme again. In most cases, this resolves the issue and the update proceeds normally.
If the problem persists after reactivating the license, please let us know and we will be happy to investigate further.

Just wanted to bring this to your attention. Your theme is creating issues after the recent update, especially with the Kirki plugin.
After updating, the homepage of my website stopped displaying the page selected in WordPress settings and automatically started showing the blog page instead.

For now, I have deactivated the Kirki plugin to avoid further issues.
The theme support was available only for 6 months, but this issue has appeared now after the update. Please check and let me know if there is any fix or patch available for this.

I’ve seen external references to UDesign having an SEO Tool, but I can’t seem to find that capability in my WP/Theme Dashboard. Does UDesign have SEO optimization capability? If not, is there a plan to integrate something of the sort?

UDesign does not include a built-in SEO plugin/tool in the dashboard. However, the theme is developed with SEO-friendly coding practices and is fully compatible with popular SEO plugins such as Yoast SEO and Rank Math.
For advanced SEO management (meta titles, descriptions, schema, sitemap, etc.), we recommend using one of those dedicated SEO plugins, as they provide much more comprehensive functionality and regular updates aligned with current SEO standards.
At the moment, there is no plan to add a separate built-in SEO system to the theme, mainly to avoid conflicts and duplicate functionality with specialized SEO plugins.

At the moment, the latest available version of the uDesign theme has been tested and confirmed compatible with Elementor up to version 3.35.x . Elementor 4.x is a major release, and as such, it typically requires additional testing and adjustments from theme developers before official compatibility can be confirmed.
As of now, Elementor 4.0.6 compatibility has not yet been officially announced for uDesign. We are actively working on keeping the theme up to date, and support for newer Elementor versions will be included in upcoming updates once full compatibility is ensured.
In the meantime, we recommend keeping Elementor at the latest supported 3.x version to avoid any potential layout or functionality issues. We appreciate your patience, and please feel free to reach out if you need further assistance.

By default, the theme does not include a built-in option to directly link Services with Portfolio/Project items in the way you described (i.e., automatically displaying related projects under a specific service).
However, you can achieve a similar result using one of the following approaches:
Using Categories/Taxonomies Manual Linking
On your Service page, you can manually add links or a section showcasing related portfolio/projects (for example, using a grid, carousel, or links to specific project pages).
Custom Development (Outside Support Scope)
If you need an automated relationship between Services and Portfolio items (e.g., dynamic listing based on selection), this would require custom development or a third-party plugin. Please note that such customization is outside the standard support scope.

Hello! I wanted to follow up here because I haven’t received a response to my previous messages sent through the support system, direct email and the listed support contact. As a result, I’ve posted my question here on the theme page in hopes of connecting with your team. I completely understand that things can get busy, and I want to say that I’ve always appreciated the excellent support you’ve provided in the past.
It looks like this may be a wider Kirki issue, since I’ve noticed other users from various forums reporting the same message: “Install Kirki Customizer – You need to install Kirki plugin to use full theme options.” Because I use this theme for over 100 sites, a resolution through Kirki would be ideal.

We have checked this issue on our test environment and were able to reproduce the same behavior. It appears that the Kirki plugin is already installed, however, the notice is still being displayed in the Customizer.

Hello, you are most welcome! The update they did again for Kirki, caused wide spread site issues, menus disappearing on all the sites, some of the sites went down completely, others missing the content, with only the header, title showing. I have rolled back or disabled Kirki, my other sites not using this theme are fine, but my 80+ sites with your amazing theme, went down. Any news on where things stand? I can’t have this with soo many client sites relying on the theme. It is a truly awesome theme, soo many wonderful features. The update challenges, are quite stressful, especially when having to travel the morning the updates hit.
As a whole, this is still and will always be my favorite theme, the best features, the best support! Just the little issues here and there. As soon as I disable Kirki the sites come back. Thank you as always!

Thank you for reaching out to us. I’m sorry to hear you’re running into an error while trying to update your theme, but don’t worry—this is a very common occurrence and is easily fixed.
This error usually occurs because the file downloaded from ThemeForest is the “All files & documentation” package. This “Full” package contains the theme itself along with licensing, documentation, and other folders. WordPress, however, is looking specifically for the theme folder inside that zip file.
To resolve this, please follow these simple steps:
Unzip the file you downloaded from ThemeForest onto your computer. Open the unzipped folder and look for the file named udesign.zip. This is the actual theme file. Go back to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme. Upload only that specific udesign.zip file.
Pro Tip: If you prefer not to unzip anything, you can go to your ThemeForest Downloads page, click the Download button next to UDesign, and select “Installable WordPress file only.” This will give you the correct file to upload directly without any extra steps.

The Single Services page layout is created using a custom template.
To edit it, go to Dashboard → UDESIGN → All Templates, then locate and edit the Single Service template/block. Inside this template, you need to add the UDESIGN Single Service widgets. These widgets will display the dynamic content that you add while editing each individual service.

Sidebar Pages (left to right): For example I like this sidebar page design at https://d-themes.com/wordpress/udesign/clean-home/services/product-cleaning which I might want to use for my “Single Service Pages”. But if you see the sidebar is “Left Hand Sided” can I make this exact page “Right Hand Sided” without any coding.
2. Custom Post Types Builder: I see that we can do “Template Building” so can we create new Custom Post Type Modules?
3. Elementor Widgets Templates: Suppose we use one of your elementor widgets from https://d-themes.com/wordpress/udesign/elements/, do we then have to build it from scratch? or we also get some layout pre defined so that we just need to update the text content and ready to go. Note: Not talking about Udesign Studio but the Elementor Widget Elements. Do we have to build it from scratch or we get some layouts out of the box?
4. Essential Grid Paid Plugin: A- I know we are also getting the “Essential Grid” plugin. But the settings are too deep if we have to start from scratch. Is it a free version or a premium version? B- Also I can see some top class templates already created in the essential grid website at https://www.essential-grid.com/grids. So can we use one of these templates? In other words, do we have access to their Templates? Or we have to build it from scratch?
5. Header & Footer Builder: Can we use “Elementor Widgets” to build the header and footer of Udesign?
6. Is Elementor Pro needed? Lastly do we need the Elementor Pro license to run the Udesign theme extensively?

4) Yes, the premium version of the Essential Grid plugin is included with the UDesign theme. Its updates are provided through theme updates. If you would like to use those specific templates, they would need to be obtained separately.
5) Yes, you can use Elementor widgets to build the Header and Footer in UDesign using the Header & Footer Builder.

So does that means we can create a complete new section from scratch with the “Creative Grid Element” and put our content within that. So can I count it as a cache plugin? If not then will that conflict with a dedicated cache plugin like “Lightspeed Cache”? In other words, can we activate or work with both simultaneously?

Yes, with the Creative Grid Element in U-Design, you can create a completely new section from scratch and place your own custom content within each grid item. It gives you full flexibility to build advanced grid-based layouts exactly how you want.
And you are correct — the free version of Elementor does not include this type of creative grid layout by default. This enhanced grid functionality comes from U-Design’s extended widget system, so you get more advanced layout options without needing Elementor Pro.
2) Speed Optimize Wizard
Yes — U-Design includes a dedicated Speed Optimization module (Optimize Wizard) that helps improve performance.
