Yeah this theme is awesome – now all I need is someone to help tweak – do you guys recommend anyone?
Woo love your work, updating now
Update:
OMG THIS UPDATE IS AMAZING!! Thank you!
You’re very welcome!
I sent you an email with 3 tiny questions. If you have a sec can you take a look? Annoying client on my ass about it
you know how we are
Sorry for not responding to your previous one, as you can imagine I have been super busy developing!
I will be responding to your current email shortly with answers for all your questions
All good, you’re doing an amazing job!
Hi. Nectar. How to update supplied dummy data?
Thanks for purchasing the theme, I really appreciate it!
Just go to Tools > Import and browse for the .xml dummy data file.
If you already have in dummy data from a previous version, the import should still go in fine and not overwrite the old data in case you have modified it.
Hey Nectar,
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how did you make the bullet points in the portfolio pieces colored? I keep trying to do it, but I fail every time. And how did you make them check mark icons? My bullets keep coming out as just plain gray dots.
jmcalaway, thanks for buying the theme!
Those colored check mark bullet points are not a standard unordered list. They are generated from the project attributes that you assign to each portfolio item. Let me know if you need any more help
Update…so…beautiful…thank you! tear

You guys spoke and I listened.

Question about the logo…
I know you are working on a fix, but in the meantime your theme is somewhat unusable due to this logo. Do you have a present work around that will allow us to use it without this ity-bity tiny logo? Mine is so miniature you cannot even see the words.
The update is going to be pushed within an hour or two and ThemeForest will mostly likely approve it overnight
Not sure if I am repeating but the only thing I can say may need to be tweaked is the mobile menu. The menu items need to be touched twice in order to actually click. Seems like the first touch selects, then the second touch activates.
Yes, others have brought up some of the flaws with the mobile menu. I will have to take some time this week to see if I can nail them all down
My message has got lost in the ever-growing replies! Reposting it here if you don’t mind
- Post date needs to show year.
- Date and nectar love for the blog on mobile devices as I think users should be able to see it on their phones for blog posts. I didn’t have much time playing with the files itself, but mocked it up using Photoshop:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/7ssdr1r23ztl3wh/date_love.pngSomething like that would be great in the next update. =)
I like your suggestion a lot in regards to the nectar love & date on mobile. Also, I really appreciate you taking the time to mock it up
The only thing about that is it would require DOM manipulation for it to work with the current way the blog HTML is written at this point. However, I will definitely explore the best route for adding this in the next version!
Really like the theme! Questions:
1)Home page with Both Templates. When viewing it on IE 8, I loose: a) Arrow Color on the slider and Recent Posts / View all posts forth column appears on the next row b) icons are appears boxed versus circle on Firebox and Chrome 2) is there a way to add multiple address on contact map? 3) is there a way to get more icons with theme style? I need a car/fleet type of icons 4) What is the best practice to rename labels such as Portfolio to some else? 6) How can I add policy or images to the footer?
Thanks
Thanks for purchasing the theme, I really appreciate it!
- IE 8 does not support border radius, which is used to create the circle look of the large icons. This is expected behavior. The IE8 fix for the column issue has been addressed in the upcoming update as well as other column issues on various page layouts.
-The contact map has been completely reworked in the update as well and now supports up to 10 locations
- The theme uses font awesome to power all of the icons and there isn’t an easy way of extending that.
- Where do you need to rename the labels? on the header menu or in the URL? The ability to change the portfolio URL slug has been added and will be included with the update.
- There is a copyright section in the options panel that you could put a privacy link and images can be added through the standard text widget. You just need to have already uploaded the image to your server and then you can place that URL inside an img tag like so:
<img src="YOUR IMAGE SOURCE" alt="YOUR IMAGE TITLE" />
Great! When are you releasing the update? I am looking to rename page labels. For example when I go to the Portfolio page, I see Sort Portfolio OR when I go to the Home page, I see Recent Work, how can I change these?
Also, slider arrows on iphone4 + IE8 are white versus coloured on firefox snd chrome. Responsive menu on iphone 4S version 5.0.1 is not working. Onclick it shows up but quickly goes away.
Is there a search option for smartphone resolution?
-Renaming the labels would require changing the files as of now. I might just go ahead and make this into a theme option for the next version to compliment the custom portfolio slug that was added in v1.1
-The slider arrows are supposed to be white on mobile because the link button turns to the theme accent color, and two sets of buttons in the same color next to each other wouldn’t look so good.
-I will try and look into the iPhone 4 problem this week and address it asap.
-There currently is no header search option for mobile.
What is going on for the next update? I am looking forward to checking this theme out. Are the page headers customizable for each page?
A lot is going on in the upcoming update, and it looks like I am going to be able to submit it tonight! I will be posting an official list of changes and new features as I submit it later
Oh, one quick request, ThemeNectar, before you publish the next update:
Can you add a LinkedIn social button at the bottom?
Thanks!
Already taken care of!
Hey ThemeNectar, loving the theme! It’s very clean and attractive—not too much going on yet just enough to meet the eye and hold attention.
Anyways, I’d just like to know how soon your next update will be out. I’ve got a lot of pieces ready to be set, but there are some talked-about features planned for the next update that I’m waiting on before continuing.
Thanks!
Thanks so much, I’m glad you love it
There’s a possibility I could push it tonight and if not, then tomorrow for sure!
Awesome! Thank you!
Great theme! Looking at making a purchase. One quick question. Are you able to add a pdf download or a link to the individual portfolio item page? It could be either under the portfolio image, under the gallery, or in the content section to the right where the project details are located. Please let me know if that is possible. Thanks.
Hey Jeff, I’m glad you like it!
The area where the descriptions are in the portfolio is populated by a standard WordPress editor. You could essentially link to a anything including a .pdf as long as you have it hosted somewhere
Will you be adding a pricing table and ability to add a video to the slider in the next update?
Video doesn’t need to fill the entire slider, just be able to go on the other side of the text…
Thanks!
Pricing tables and the ability to add a video to the home slider will unfortunately not be included in the upcoming update. They might be in future versions, but the list of new features became so long I had to cap it in its current state
Would it be possible to get these as a custom job if I bought? There are also a few other tweaks I would like, but understand if you are busy. Perhaps you could message me if you have time to do any extra modification work? Thanks!
Hi, your theme is great and I’m planning to buy it. Just a quick question: is it possibile, in your opinion, to put a video from vimeo on the first page, instead of the slideshow with the images? Thanks for your great job!
Hey gasta, thanks for taking an interest!
As of right now that would require some custom development.
Hi, I saw on safari the logo display in the header is deformed to raise or lower the screen content. In Firefox and Chrome works well.
Thanks.
Hm, You’re right!
Fortunately, you will be getting a feature in the next update to define your own logo height and that should clear the bug up
I’ve just rated you 5 stars
Thank you for such a great work! It’s really beautiful
I’m creating my portfolio and here are my problems/suggestions:
Important:
1. No extended latin characters (e.g. ???ó
– I know that you promised to update it so I’m waiting
2. The images that are cropped for portfolio (600×403) and thumbs (100×100, 50×50) are center-cropped, what can I do to crop them from the top – top visible, bottom deleted – I have print screens of long websites as projects (e.g. 800×1500) and the top part is the most important. Even better would be the ability to choose the crop per image
3. iPad – the horizontal view of the website should definitely be identical with desktop – visible menu etc. Really important for me
Not so important for now:
4. Also in portfolio there is a problem with wide images – the cropped size is not 600×403 but e.g. 600×187, which destroys the square grid.
5. Too much height for the home images (slider). On laptop screens the bottom of photograph is not visible. – I know you’re already addressing the problem
.
6. “View larger” – unfortunately it resizes image so they are too small if they are higher than wider. It would be good if it showed the original size and the ability to scroll. Also previous/next would be great. As for now I display:none’d this button as you suggested in previous posts.
Future requests:
Photogallery as a separate portfolio of images.
Retina support
Also on iPhone 4 the menu is not working (displays for a split of a second) but you can’t choose anything. Maybe the problem is because of not the newest iOS, so maybe it’s my problem.
I’m looking forward to all the changes if possible
Thank you!
Thanks so much for the rating, I really appreciate it!
1. Yes, I am working on providing Latin character options.
2. I haven’t tried this plugin so I can not guarantee it, but try this out: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/thumbnail-crop-position/screenshots/
3. There probably is enough room, I would just have to spend a bit of time changing the responsive styles and the media quires. This it something that I will definitely try and do in a future release
4. I have some wide images in the demo portfolio, have you uploaded your wide images at a high enough resolution?
5. The ability to define the slider height is being added in the upcoming version
6. This is also something that I will have to push back to a later release, since the list of changes for the upcoming update is already very large.
Ok, another buyer has been telling me about the iPhone 4 problem as well so now I can officially confirm that it doesn’t work properly. I’ll see what I can do about fixing it in a timely manner
Thanks for taking the time to write all those suggestions!
Thanks for the tips! I’m going to install the new version now
ad.2 The plugin works (but it is somewhat buggy)
Hey, I updated the the live demo site with a potential fix for the iPhone 4 menu bug, could you test it out and let me know if it’s good now (I don’t have any easy way of getting my hands on an iPhone4 to test myself :p)
Thanks!
Sure, I’ve just tested it and unfortunately it’s not working correctly
and the behavior is like this:
iOS ver. 5.1.1 I cleared cache in both browsers:
Safari: It rolls down the whole height and then it hides at once (earlier it didn’t roll out entirely, it just flashed)
Chrome: it rolls down, stays open for few seconds and then collapse. Sometimes it asks for opening in new tab instead of rolling out. When it rolls down I’m still not able to open other sites although I tap it. I managed to open Contact once
I hope it helps
Ok, thanks a lot for the detailed report.
I am working on developing the mobile menu from a completely different approach to hopefully clear this up once and for all! I will let you later when you can check again, if you would be so kind
I just pushed an update to the live preview that SHOULD take care of the menu problem, as well as a couple other bugs no one reported. Let me know if it’s working good
Hello, I’ve tried it and it works!
But…
one thing is that the menu item that has submenus cannot be selected. In your theme the main link and first submenu link is the same (eg. Features is the same link as Columns), but if I would like to have Blog and blog categories as submenu items then I wouldn’t be able to choose the Blog link as it only allows for rolling down and up the submenu. I don’t know if it was intended but maybe you could change it that text link would work like link and everything to the right – space and arrow – would work as rolling down?
One sorta big change? I have portfolio items that have both media – video and photos. So I wish that the section had not only single photos but also stackable content like video uploads or another photos.
This could be something that possibly gets added in a future version
Hey ThemeNectar,
I love the theme! It’s great!
Is there a way to remove the ‘View Larger’ button under the portfolio page?
I want the preview image to link to the portfolio piece not open the preview image.
Thanks
Thanks so much!
Add this snippet into the Custom CSS box in the admin panel:
.portfolio-items .col .work-item .work-info a.pp {
display: none;
}
Thanks! It worked!

How do I rate you 5 stars?
Go to your downloads section and you should see starts next to the theme you can click
Thanks a lot!
