Thanks for a great update!

One question, you mentioned earlier that the theme had some problems with child themes. If I want to customise background color and such would you advise me to change the theme files or create a child theme as it is today?

The update fixed the issue with child themes, please see the new section in the user guide for help with creating a child theme :D

Great, thanks!

Another buyer has caught an unrelated minor bug with having a child theme that I am going to patch soon. For now if you want to fix it yourself, in functions.php on line 103 change the segment:

get_template_directory_uri()

to

get_stylesheet_directory_uri()

Hello,

i have a problem since the update : the date is not showing anymore in the single portfolio page.

Any idea please?

Thks

// Great theme by the way !

// Sorry, that’s ok !

There is now an option for you to toggle it in the options panel :)

What kinda tweaks?!

Yeah this theme is awesome – now all I need is someone to help tweak – do you guys recommend anyone?

Woo love your work, updating now :D

Update:

OMG THIS UPDATE IS AMAZING!! Thank you!

:) I sent you an email with 3 tiny questions. If you have a sec can you take a look? Annoying client on my ass about it :p you know how we are :p

Sorry for not responding to your previous one, as you can imagine I have been super busy developing!

I will be responding to your current email shortly with answers for all your questions :D

All good, you’re doing an amazing job!

Hi. Nectar. How to update supplied dummy data?

Thanks for purchasing the theme, I really appreciate it!

Just go to Tools > Import and browse for the .xml dummy data file.

If you already have in dummy data from a previous version, the import should still go in fine and not overwrite the old data in case you have modified it.

Hey Nectar,

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how did you make the bullet points in the portfolio pieces colored? I keep trying to do it, but I fail every time. And how did you make them check mark icons? My bullets keep coming out as just plain gray dots.

jmcalaway, thanks for buying the theme!

Those colored check mark bullet points are not a standard unordered list. They are generated from the project attributes that you assign to each portfolio item. Let me know if you need any more help :)

Update…so…beautiful…thank you! tear

Question about the logo…

I know you are working on a fix, but in the meantime your theme is somewhat unusable due to this logo. Do you have a present work around that will allow us to use it without this ity-bity tiny logo? Mine is so miniature you cannot even see the words.

The update is going to be pushed within an hour or two and ThemeForest will mostly likely approve it overnight :)

Not sure if I am repeating but the only thing I can say may need to be tweaked is the mobile menu. The menu items need to be touched twice in order to actually click. Seems like the first touch selects, then the second touch activates.

Yes, others have brought up some of the flaws with the mobile menu. I will have to take some time this week to see if I can nail them all down :)

My message has got lost in the ever-growing replies! Reposting it here if you don’t mind :D

- Post date needs to show year.

- Date and nectar love for the blog on mobile devices as I think users should be able to see it on their phones for blog posts. I didn’t have much time playing with the files itself, but mocked it up using Photoshop:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/7ssdr1r23ztl3wh/date_love.png

Something like that would be great in the next update. =)

I like your suggestion a lot in regards to the nectar love & date on mobile. Also, I really appreciate you taking the time to mock it up :)

The only thing about that is it would require DOM manipulation for it to work with the current way the blog HTML is written at this point. However, I will definitely explore the best route for adding this in the next version!

Really like the theme! Questions:

1)Home page with Both Templates. When viewing it on IE 8, I loose: a) Arrow Color on the slider and Recent Posts / View all posts forth column appears on the next row b) icons are appears boxed versus circle on Firebox and Chrome 2) is there a way to add multiple address on contact map? 3) is there a way to get more icons with theme style? I need a car/fleet type of icons 4) What is the best practice to rename labels such as Portfolio to some else? 6) How can I add policy or images to the footer?

Thanks

Great! When are you releasing the update? I am looking to rename page labels. For example when I go to the Portfolio page, I see Sort Portfolio OR when I go to the Home page, I see Recent Work, how can I change these?

Also, slider arrows on iphone4 + IE8 are white versus coloured on firefox snd chrome. Responsive menu on iphone 4S version 5.0.1 is not working. Onclick it shows up but quickly goes away.

Is there a search option for smartphone resolution?

-Renaming the labels would require changing the files as of now. I might just go ahead and make this into a theme option for the next version to compliment the custom portfolio slug that was added in v1.1 :)

-The slider arrows are supposed to be white on mobile because the link button turns to the theme accent color, and two sets of buttons in the same color next to each other wouldn’t look so good.

-I will try and look into the iPhone 4 problem this week and address it asap.

-There currently is no header search option for mobile.

What is going on for the next update? I am looking forward to checking this theme out. Are the page headers customizable for each page?

A lot is going on in the upcoming update, and it looks like I am going to be able to submit it tonight! I will be posting an official list of changes and new features as I submit it later :)

Oh, one quick request, ThemeNectar, before you publish the next update:

Can you add a LinkedIn social button at the bottom?

Thanks!

Already taken care of! :)

Hey ThemeNectar, loving the theme! It’s very clean and attractive—not too much going on yet just enough to meet the eye and hold attention.

Anyways, I’d just like to know how soon your next update will be out. I’ve got a lot of pieces ready to be set, but there are some talked-about features planned for the next update that I’m waiting on before continuing.

Thanks!

Thanks so much, I’m glad you love it :)

There’s a possibility I could push it tonight and if not, then tomorrow for sure!

Awesome! Thank you! :)

Great theme! Looking at making a purchase. One quick question. Are you able to add a pdf download or a link to the individual portfolio item page? It could be either under the portfolio image, under the gallery, or in the content section to the right where the project details are located. Please let me know if that is possible. Thanks.

Hey Jeff, I’m glad you like it!

The area where the descriptions are in the portfolio is populated by a standard WordPress editor. You could essentially link to a anything including a .pdf as long as you have it hosted somewhere :)

Will you be adding a pricing table and ability to add a video to the slider in the next update?

Video doesn’t need to fill the entire slider, just be able to go on the other side of the text…

Thanks!

Pricing tables and the ability to add a video to the home slider will unfortunately not be included in the upcoming update. They might be in future versions, but the list of new features became so long I had to cap it in its current state :)

Would it be possible to get these as a custom job if I bought? There are also a few other tweaks I would like, but understand if you are busy. Perhaps you could message me if you have time to do any extra modification work? Thanks!

Hi, your theme is great and I’m planning to buy it. Just a quick question: is it possibile, in your opinion, to put a video from vimeo on the first page, instead of the slideshow with the images? Thanks for your great job!

Hey gasta, thanks for taking an interest!

As of right now that would require some custom development.

Hi, I saw on safari the logo display in the header is deformed to raise or lower the screen content. In Firefox and Chrome works well.

Thanks.

Hm, You’re right!

Fortunately, you will be getting a feature in the next update to define your own logo height and that should clear the bug up :)
