Hi, I am having issues with logins.
There is no way to display the login area on full width pages so I have had to create a menu link for it.
Also, bbpess will not display any logins.
This is making it very hard to offer my visitors to Login or Register. How can I improve this?

As long as you haven’t modified the core theme files: Download a fresh copy from ThemeForest, delete the old and upload the new

love the theme but have a couple questions before i commit. first off, is it possible to disable the title bar minimizing effect when scrolling?
also, is it possible to have multiple portfolios?

1. Yes, you can deactivate that with one click in the options panel
2. Currently that would require custom modifications, but a guide has been put up on the support forum covering the topic.
Great theme, one question before purchase Can the current “portfolio” default – be set to display a filterable portfolio that displays vs. the demo having to select “Sort Portfolio” and the drop down appears?

Right now the only sorting UI is what you see on the demo, however it’s easy to set a default category is that’s what you were looking to do.

Thanks jdtaber there’s actually going to be another small one today that fixes a few more bugs.
The resizing is working, it’s just that your slider images have the same height as the slider itself therefore, the min-height is reached unless you stretch past 2000(ish)px. Everyone was forced to make their images at the same height as their slider and use very wide images, but now try making images that are taller than the slider height and you can set the width to much less than 2000px.

An official shortcode for them might get added in a future release, but for now, just using blockquotes is the way to go. They’re styled nicely and most people in need of a testimonials section have been using them without complaint

The space you’re seeing on the right is the padding for where scrollbar would be if you had more content on your homepage, it has nothing to do with plugins. A fix to hide this extra space when there is less content than window height was added in the latest version. Just download a fresh copy of the theme and enjoy
ah thankyou! i thought that might of been it. Also i was having problems with the menubar, i have quite a long logo so the menubar overlaps it when the page is condensed.. its not too much of a problem as i’ve only got a few headings in it now looks nice and simple. But i was thinking a kind of carousel menubar might fix the problem.. Is there any chance you could implement this? or is there another workaround?
Yeah your logo is kind of long, why not just reduce the size by a little? If you set the height to around 10px -15px shorter in the options panel it would make a nice difference.

Hi there, again congratulations for the theme. Been working on it for a while and i’m still finding it surprisingly good.
One point that is giving me some problems is the lightbox for videos from recent work and portfolio page. All the video are played in a format that it’s not the exact of the vimeo,youtube file. This is important since the website i’m doing it for our film production company!
the iframe is displayed in a 690×315px and it should be around 560 height max.
The videos have black background on the sides. Is there any way to force the size of the frame? Thanks in advance

Right in the embed code you paste into the box, there is a height attribute that you can change to resize how tall the video will display in the lightbox
I’m jumping back on here to say that I LOVE this theme….. but equally important…. I love this author! The kind of care and support that goes into fixing issues and making things better is AMAZING. The way this theme was coded, even down to the changelog! It’s truly amazing and I feel like the author built this from the perspective of the customer, rather than a lazy developer.

This is the most beautiful theme I’ve seen so far on Themeforest! It has exactly what I need as a Portfolio and registration. I’m actually want buying this, but before I do I have one question. is your theam plugin supported or not can we made page public, private . your theme portfolio column 4 and column 3 support pagination because i have more category and its item.

1. The team page is just a regular WordPress page so you still have access to all of the built-in visibility settings such as private, password protected etc.
2. Yes, the portfolio supports both regular pagination (just arrows) as well as extended pagination (page numbers with arrows)

Sooo, just installed 1.4.1 update, and there is a problem with the home slider image on the iPad. It jumps the image when you scroll down, responding to the new vertical scroll position after 1/2 second delay, and it shifts the image in a way that when scrolling back up quickly will show the background behind the image. It looks broken… not smooth, not my style at all 
. Please fix (I’m going to stick with v1.4 until it’s functioning again).
Also I found a resize bug with the responsive design. Here’s how to find it: turn off the header size adjustment feature, shrink the browser down so the responsive design enables either the iPhone or iPad versions, hit refresh. Now resize the browser back to the full size and the menu items are now misaligned. Not a huge deal, but thought I’d let you know.
Suggesting nomenclature for the version upgrades of Salient. So I’m practicing tight version control, and consecutively installing the newer versions, while keeping the older versions available (because if I spot a bug that is a problem, I can easily switch to another version that is already tested, and have access to my custom mods, etc). Could you save the uploadable zip file name to be salient_1-4-1 , salient_1-4-2 or something like this? I unpack and repack the zip with a new name. Not a big deal, but just pointing out some of your customers potential workflows

I’m having problems figuring out exactly how the rescaling of the home slider image function. I’ve uploaded three images in 2000×700 format, they all have logos in the image. However when watching this on a 13 inch screen it looks really bad. Do you have any advice?
Also, is it possible to link the whole slider and not use a caption?

As of the current version, the slider images display at the size you upload them and only resize with the window size once the mobile layout is activated and the parallax effect is turned off. However, I am really tempted to begin development on a new option that will allow you guys to toggle the resizing with the parallax effect as well I’ll keep you updated.

As of now, it would require custom development to integrate other icon sets..But on another note, I went ahead and added an option for responsive resizing of slider images in 1.4.1 and it just became available to download

Absolutely wonderful theme!
I noticed that on the theme demo the titles on the home slider animate a little. They have a slight push upward as they fade in. But mine just simply fade through from one to the next. I’ve gone through the options panel many times, and read through the user guide and least 3 times. I know it’s a subtle thing but I live for the details. This one is driving me bonkers

The caption transition was actually a feature added in v1.4 along with many other cool additions! Check out the changelog for a full list and update your version by downloading the theme again from ThemeForest

One last question. I also noticed on the home slider some titles have center and right justification. Not only that but I’ve also noticed on the “Spacebound” short film slide you have added a secondary image on top of the background image that also animates just like the titles do. Are you using short codes for that? Or is this a new feature in v1.4?
