Hello, i am close to making a purchase and i have reviewed a fair few templates and am struggling to make a decision. i have noticed some features on other templates that jupiter doesnt have and i wanted to confirm this was the case as i am leaning towards jupiter. I have noticed other templates have graphs and charts, in page and between page animations, form builders, menu customizers and seo tools. Does jupiter have these things, or some of them? can you explain a bit more about it as i am looking for a template that will give me the most flexibility as well as the nice to have features…

hi, we have separate licenses for revolution slider and visual composer. is it ok if we update these separate from our yours. just to clarify, you are using visual composer, right?
a couple more points:
- we are developing b2b websites so proper rendering in IE 9 is crucial just because most companies use older browsers than the rest of us. i really hope you can address rendering issues in various browsers soon.
- because nesting columns and custom boxes isn’t yet possible in page composer, can you please explain again how to use text editor to nest columns and custom boxes within page sections – might be easier for you to just show the code here so everyone else can just copy-paste and customize on our own.
- two years is a reasonable shelf life for a website. i hope we can count on updates/support for that amount of time.

1. There is no problem to update RevSlider, however we add new updates everything they release one. in our pending update the new version added. its your choice. we did not hack its files.
2. You can not update Page Composer. We have changed the whole front end coding. only backend with huge modifications. Yes there is a bug related to third level shortcodes. We will fix this issue in coming updates with a workaround or a trick. but you can still add your shortcodes into a text block where ever you need to add tabs or accordions into column or page section. Most of the elements are column built-in and you will no need to do these frequently.
3. What issues you face in IE9? please inform us in help desk so our support staffs will report me for coming updates to fix them. We do these issues very seriously and today a huge update just submitted. you can check the update log.
4. We support our other themes and give new updates. for example for Lucidpress we are preparing a huge update, so dont worry about support and updates. We have hired 2 support staff who are expert on their work and I myself participate in support if I am needed.

thanks for the prompt response. again i am a huge fan of jupiter. truth be told, we have most of the themes in the best-seller list, and yours by far is the most flexible and best-looking. i have noticed that the most successful themes here are some years old. what sets them apart is that their creators do not abandon their themes; in fact, they kept adding more functions and features that keep the themes fresh and up to date. this way, the theme does not get obsolete and thus remain a top seller.
i think jupiter has everything it takes to become a gold standard because it is very powerful. it is young and has a lot of potential, just keep working on it. your update list is great, but maybe it’s time to add new features in the next one? that being said, i am bumping up my wishlist:
adding these shortcodes would make you the best in terms of infographic content. since you already have charts and progress bars and a more extensive list of fonticons, they should be easy for you.

Hey thanks for your nice & positive words. Yes we do not follow the pattern of appending new themes for the sake of sales. I personally believe trends changes very rapidly and in this competitive market you should not be staying with old fashions and standards. I have all your request in my list and will add them in coming updates. In Jupiter we listen to feedbacks as well as new feature requests. As far as new request are possible with current theme structure I never missed anyones request. I will add your request if not in one update but in 2 split coming updates. So far I am really LOVING this theme, so many options and variations, really is more of a site builder. Great work!
Here are just a few issues I am having:
1. The social icons on my Under Construction page do not render on: Firefox (V24) and IE 9 and 10 on Windows 7. It renders fine on Safari and Chrome on Windows 7. Also fine on FF, Safari and Chrome on Mac OSX.
2. The Instagram Widget does not render images
3. Not understanding how to use the JP Social Networks widget? Do I point to an image I want in the Custom URL field? If so, why? Seems a bit backwards considering all the other advanced features you have, maybe I’m wrong.
4. The floating mail icon still shows after turning it off in the Master Key.
These are minor issues considering the depth of this theme and to be expected. Give an answer when you can, really appreciate it.

1. Oh I should check that, added into my bug list. Sorry about that.
2. Its fixed in v1.3.4 and its already in review process and you can check the update log in item description. It will be approved few hours.
3. We have the multi select of all avalaible soicial networks, you should hold shift (windows), command (mac) and choose your icons. the url fields will appears below the selectbox. However you can have custom icons as well. change how many icon and there will be 3 fields for each icon. for icon image, social network name and URL. I dont know why you say its not advanced. It should fulfil all needs. do you have any suggestions?

I’ve just a short question:
I would like to transfer the theme in german. With poedit opend the en_US.po and translated a few words (ex. “leave a comment”), then i saved this as a new file (de_DE.po) under …/themes/jupiter/languages
Unfortunately, the text is still in english if i refresh my website (nothing changes…)

Hi Artbees. Regarding tricell’s question, are you saying that you can’t set a custom color for the footer? That’s seems really strange to me. I would think the color picker would allow that or via custom.css file. Thanks.
No, not at all, I meant you can set all background properties (color, image, position, attachment,..) for all theme sections.

I have a small feature request; can you please make the Header Toolbar Contact Info (Email Address) a mailto link and use the antispambot function so the address is obfuscated for malicious emailaddress harvesters?
E.g. using
<a href="mailto:<?php echo antispambot(" john="">?subject=Question"><?php echo antispambot("john@nowhere.com"); ?></a>
In above scenario, it would also be nice you can edit the Subject via the Masterkey backend ofcourse. Thanks!

Headers: Can I add buttons to header? Can I add it in the header (like in header three)?
Countdown: Can I change colors and size?
Background: Can video be added as a background?

1. There is not backend option to add buttons to header (since header is sticky and has some complex structure), and adding anything out of the features added to header might need some css changes. However you can tweak it in a child theme without touching to the theme files.
2. It will need some small css changes, we offer such css snippets in our help desk. the new rules can be added to custom css option in masterkey settings or via a child theme.
3. None of the backgrounds has this feature, however we will add video to header banner in coming updates.
4. We have News Post type and you can view its loop as well as single post at : http://artbees.net/themes/jupiter/news

You have done an awesome job with your themes, particularly Jupiter and Lucid Press. The only thing stopping me from buying the theme for my client is the problems with inertial scrolling. On OS X, the scrolling is very choppy and unpleasant (at least when looking at the demos). Is there any way to revert to the normal OS X scrolling?
Just out of curiosity, has it got to do with some feature like the parallax backgrounds? If so I can possibly forgo a feature like that to have smooth scrolling.

I purchased this template a couple days ago. I was able to install it and amend it but unfortunately I cannot upload the dummy template. Every time I try to import the template my browser turns compete white and even after refreshing, the dummy template is not active. Can you please support me with uploading the dummy template as I would like my website to have the same layout as the live version of Jupiter.

Hey Max, Thanks for choosing our theme. I guess your server upload_max_filesize + post_max_size is below the normal values. Thats why before importing the demo import file it reaches to the maximum and timeouts. However we should look and figure it out. Meanwhile please make sure the below values set in your php.ini :
upload_max_filesize = 20mb
post_max_size = 20mb

I’m having an issue with the header/header banner and I just can’t figure it out.. it’s driving me craazzyyyyyyyy
All I want to do is have the nav be a slight white hue overtop of a 1920×500~ image, but the homepage is just taking the image inserted into header banner and applying it behind the nav menu instead of continuing it down the page. I’m tearing my freaking hair out right now trying to figure this out! When I go to other pages with a title, like “Shop”, the photo continues further down, but ONLY when the title is enabled, as if it’s dependent on a title to show the pic. Do I need to add in a slider to continue the image background??

Please note that Header banner section covers the whole header section. I guess your did not set the background position right. However we are here to help. I think you need to at least add one extra step to how the responsive layout behaves as the browser window width is reduced. I will explain.
Currently, the if the grid size is 1140px and you have a layout with a sidebar, as soon as the window width is below 1140px, the main content area goes fullwidth and the sidebar is pushed down. Hence, on an ipad, even in landscape mode, one never sees the sidebar.
You need to add at least another step where if the window size is say 960px or similar, you can still see the sidebar and it’s only if the window width is reduced further that the sidebar gets pushed down. Almost all the other responsive themes behave this way, and it’s a great omission in Jupiter which is a shame as the theme is one of the best themes around.
Can you confirm when this will be added to the theme or exactly what CSS codes need to be modified in order to accomplish this?

I know this has been brought up before but being able to right justify the modern menu may solve a lot of issues with the menu overlapping the logo and/or have a way to shrink it up a little… I added this css to shrink the default of 25px in the menu…
.main-navigation-ul>li>a { padding-right: 15px; padding-left: 15px; }
But when this is done it makes the dropdown menus pop in the wrong spots… I can’t figure out the CSS to fix that problem…
An option to turn responsive off all together would be a great addition…

I am having the same exact critical issue as Tricell regarding deletion of content when switching between visual/text and page composer. I have reported it in a ticket previously.
This is how the problem is occuring for me: 1. Create text/image content through columns shortcodes in normal visual/text mode 2. Switch to page composer, create new element underneath and save 3. Switch back to visual/text mode and the original content is gone!
The issue is not related to nesting 2nd or 3rd level composer or shortcode items inside each other. It is separate content on the page that disappears. This is unworkable. I have to copy and paste my content into a text file and back again every time I switch between modes which is fiddly and frustrating.
I really want to use this theme to get my urgent site done but I need these bugs fixed asap. If you would like access to my site to inspect let me know.

Hey thanks for reporting this issue. in fact we did not replicate this bug in our own demo sites, I guess this is a very rare bug, I will check back your ticket myself (please give me your ticket number here), and give your WP access. I will try to do the same scenario you explained to see what can make this bug to appear. I should first find the origin of this malfunction before I proceed with a debugging. Our whole demo has done with page composer and my colleague never reported this bug before. We will have huge improvements in page composer such as speed performance and I will debug this issue as well. Thanks

I bought it and unfortunately the demo does not have nothing to be compared with your demo live. Of course, you give us an important demo. With no images for a question of rights. Ok. But, as the demo is totally different from your “live demo”, it is very difficult to understand what is where …. and as Jupiter is a terrible complicated template, I am afraid I have lost 55 dollars … Then, if I continue my study, Jupiter’s pages are so complicated. Full of shortcodes. I really wonder if such a theme can be used by a final redactor ? a normal non informatik ingenior ? Of course, for a geek, hurray for these pages. They are certainly technically perfect. Is it the purpose of Wordpress ? A beautiful work indeed Mr Artbees. Usable ?
