I am not able to find any public template documentation, so have a few questions before purchase.
1, Is the homepage content and structure customizable (eg. shortcodes)? 2, Is it possible to use various sliders and other graphics elements on the homepage? 3, Does the template pull its primary content data from wp blog posts, wp pages or a custom article type?

1. It’s generated from the categories you have your knowledge base articles setup in. There are a few options to modify the output such as number of articles to show, and whether to show category counts etc
2. Not without editing the template.
3. The theme uses posts are the knowledge base articles.

On page 3 of this comment section you refer someone to 1.3 “Setting up an FAQ” page. In the documentation that I received with my purchase there isn’t a single instance of FAQ anywhere in the documentation if you search for that term.
1.3, btw, is a section on the setup of permalinks.
The theme is great, btw. I just need to know how to set up the FAQs (and a link in the header menu to those FAQs).

To find the FAQ page add ?post_type=st_faq to the end of your site URL. To add a link in your menu you can use the “Custom Link” option in the menu builder.

What kind of options are available for controlling search results?

The theme uses the WordPress search engine and doesn’t modify it in any way. So there’s no options t control the search results. If you want to do that, it’s best to look at using a plugin.

There’s no way of inserting multiple images or slider galleries as a posts excerpt/preview.

Is there a way to limit access to certain areas of the knowledge base depending on the type of user it is? For example, I will have two types of people access it (customers and distributors). I may want to limit certain areas to only distributors etc. Thanks
