Hey guys…just discovered your theme yesterday, and was ready to buy it and I don’t even have a client to use it for yet! IMPRESSIVE! I was wondering…any chance you could get me a look at the admin console of the theme? Maybe email me an admin login to just look around?
Thanks!
Hi Todd,
Always nice to hear comments like that. You can get a feel for our administration through the video on this page: http://theme.co/x/customizer/
We don’t have any “playground” of sorts setup at this time, but it may be something we look into offering in the future. The video above should give you a good insight into what it is like to manage a site powered by X.
Look forward to having you as a customer!
If you have any additional questions feel free to ask anytime!
The response time is half of the solution – SUPPORT. It’s Sunday, and I’m completely impressed by the quick response. I’m buying! Thanks guys!
Thank-you, my friend. Be sure to register at our site for all the member goodies: http://theme.co/x/go/register.php
Hi Team,
I have a few pre-sale questions. I’m interested in starting a new team blog site with a specific layout.
I’ve taken a liking to the design of themes.themeton.com/pressgrid/ and something similar to tech blog sites such as theverge.com
I was just wondering if X is capable of grid post layouts and if so, how hard it would be to do so.
Cheers!
Hey there,
X is currently not capable of handling design options like this out of the box. However, we have begun discussions of implementing alternate blog designs based on the feedback provided by users. For example, instead of the standard posts layout, a much requested feature is the use of a masonry layout, similar to this website you are referencing.
It would take a certain degree of comfort with child themes and theme customization to be able to tweak the current setup to achieve this look before it is released as a global feature, but it can absolutely be done.
Thanks for writing in! Let us know if there’s anything else we can do for you.
I really want to buy this theme, I’m rather new to WordPress and really don’t want another theme I can’t manipulate. How user friendly is this theme?
Hi Croseman,
We like to think X is very easy/intuitive to manage (it was created for just that purpose), and you should check out the video on this page: http://theme.co/x/customizer/
The Customizer is where you administer things like Stack (design), layout, header placement, typography, etc – and as you can see it was built to be user friendly
Let us know if you need anything further, and we look forward to having you as a customer!
Okay…I purchased the template…having issues with the customizer. I have set it twice, saved & published…go to see the pages nothing. Go back to the customizer…default settings. I’ve put this out on the support forum…my goal was to have my website up…please respond with a solution just as you did prior to my purchases. Thanks!
Croseman,
Our support staff will be happy to assist. They are not the same ones who answer most of these pre-sale questions, therefore once it is in the forum, they will respond as soon as possible. As you can see, our response times in the forum are quite fast. There might be a slight delay today due to the holiday, but I assure you it will be answered
Thanks again for your purchase, and please make sure to post all future questions in the forum.
Hello,
I think I found the theme I’ve been searching for! Thanks for creating it! I’d like to build an agency-style site, but I want the option to add an item for sale on certain pages. Is is possible to do that with WooCommerce short codes or widgets. I don’t want a full e-commerce site. Thanks!
Hi There,
Thanks for your kind words! Regarding your question, if the WooCommerce plugin is activated you are more or less using all the features built in (shop index, individual product pages, cart, etc). While you can certainly have only one or two products for sale, activating WooCommerce is an all or nothing sort of thing. You could hide certain pages (say the shop index for instance, by not linking to it or removing the breadcrumb navigation) and control which pages on your site show which products, but if you have any specific WooCommerce functionality type questions, I would recommend a quick email to them for clarification, as we have simply taken the plugin and made it compatible with the styling and functionality of X.
Let us know if you have any other questions, and we look forward to having you as a customer!
Before I buy, do you have any examples of where the ads can be placed?
Hi Alison,
I’m not sure I understand your question. Are you asking where you can place things like banner ads? If so, there are several widget areas in the sidebar/footer that would be appropriate places for things like that.
If that’s not what you’re asking, please clarify with a little more detail. Many thanks!
Hi, the short codes are excellent for quickly building a page, but a visual composer would be really nice.
Do you have an estimate when you will have a visual composer implemented?
Your wish is our command
An update to the theme was just submitted to Themeforest and awaiting their approval! This includes a customized version of Visual Composer that is just amazing plus a re-organization of our shortcodes into a nice dropdown in addition to some other small enhancements/feature requests!
Hey there,
Visual Composer is implemented in v1.5.0, which is out now. Additionally, v2.0.0 of our X Shortcodes plugin is available as well!
Hi
Is there any masonry option for blog ?
Hey,
currently we do not have a masonry option for our blog section but we will put it on our feature list for a possible update.
I have purchased x theme today Where Will x theme of the film in teaching? my paypal account?zifliu@pixnet.net
Hey,
I am not sure if I understood you question correctly but if you are looking for the video tutorials you can find them in our member area. Sign up through this link: http://theme.co/x/go/register.php
Hi there, i consider to buy this theme. But i miss one thing: Has this theme the option of a newspaper-style (masonry), like pinterest have? And do you know if it’s a big deal to include the plugin layerslider (by my own – just a question if it’s compatible) – cause i already have a theme which use layerslider and want to get the data from one to this x-theme here.
thank you in advance! regards jens
Hey,
We currently do not have a masonry options for the blog section but it’s a highly requested feature which means it might make its way into the theme in an upcoming update.
Layerslider should work with X. We use revolution slider which is very similar to layerslider you might want to take a look at it since we fully support it and integrated it in our theme.
Hi there gang, I am trying to register with the licensing/purchasing code, however the return message I am receiving is “That username is not valid for this item purchase code. Please make sure you entered the correct username (case sensitive).” I have triple checked my username, can you assist please?
I apologise, I have now registered it, my error.
No worries. Glad to know everything is working as expected now!
We’ll see you on the other side.
Will it be easy for me to add custom fonts to this theme?
Hey there,
We dynamically include over 600 fonts from the Google Fonts library, so you definitely have more than enough fonts to choose from! Is this what you are referring to when you say custom fonts, or are you meaning premium fonts that you might be using with a service like Typekit for instance?
Thanks for writing in!
Yeah those google fonts are not cutting it for me. Yes like TypeKit.
Hey,
We understand that they aren’t everyone’s first choice. However, There are definitely some excellent gems among that group like Lato, Open Sans, and Raleway.
We currently don’t have a way to set premium fonts from a service like Typekit, but this is certainly something we could look to address in a later release. We are constantly striving to deliver new features that our customers want that could also serve a majority of our users.
Thank you very much for your input and we will make sure to place this on to our development timeline.
AMAZING Theme and just found the client for it! Curious, I have to bring her 20 blog posts from another platform and how do I create a Blog setup (and from your many blog layouts in demo, select which kind to display them in) Is it making standard wordpress posts and category tags and calling them into the Blog page I made with a shortcode or…? THNKS!!
Hey there,
Just as a reminder, all official support for X is administered via the support forum in our member area. If you need assistance with the theme, please direct all questions there.
Regarding this situation, the blog page is setup under “Settings” > “Reading.” Simply select “A static page (select below)” for the “Front page displays” setting, then select the page you’d like to use for your home and blog. WordPress will take care of the rest.
If you’re trying to discern how to import content from this other platform, your best bet is to use the “Tools” > “Import” admin screen, where you’ll be able to bring in posts and pages if need be.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us in the forum should you need any further help.
Thanks!
Ahhhh THNKS, and will DO only here forward, AMAZING customer Service (to any potential buyers) and GRT Theme!$
Thank you so much for the kind words! It is always greatly appreciated.
Greetings,
I’m waiting patiently for the page builder addition but do have a few questions.
1. I noticed you’ve optimized the design with SEO in mind. I’m using SEO by Yoast and was curious if this theme(s) is compatible?
2. I see most of the ‘Shop’ pre-designs are shop only. Is this recommended, or can I use the shop as an addition to my blog & portfolio style website?
thanks
Hey,
1. Yes we have built out theme with search engine optimization in mind and also included a lot of insight from our experts which are well known in the industry. SEO by Yoast works fine with our theme so feel free to use it.
2. Our shop demo is just to show you how the shop will look like. You are more than welcome to use the shop just as an addition to the rest of your site. Most sites will have a landing page, blog section and portfolio section where they show products and in addition to that use WooCommerce which we support as shop so people can buy after they got enough information about the product.
Really appreciate the feedback. I’ve bookmarked it and will check back often for updates on the page builder! Happy Holidays!
Thank you, have happy holidays too!
Hi Rjoyner,
Just wanted to let you know that we have integrated Visual Composer into X. I know this was a feature you were interested in, so I just wanted to let you know it is now live! Looking forward to having you on board…
I must say I am very impressed with X. I have tried Builder, Thesis and Genesis. I didn’t really like any of them. When I saw this… it was like love at first site.
However, I am weighing it against the Avada theme and other high selling themes here on Theme Forest. Since X is so new, I want to keep watching and keep learning as much as I can about how it stacks up against the others.
A couple questions/comments I have are:
I really like the variety of sliders Avada has, particularly the Layer slider. Do you plan on including more slider options as time goes on? Can other sliders be used with X currently?
As far as header options, I’d like a fixed header that changes size as the user begins to scroll down the page (becomes narrower). Is this currently possible? If not, will it be?
I will be implementing a travel magazine style site, but I like some of the elements of the integrity stack. Can I have a home page that incorporates an image parallax, and some cool visual elements of the integrity theme with some traditional elements needed on a blog style site, such as a variety of posts and routes to content?
Thanks and good work!
Hey there,
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful remarks! I’ll do my best to respond in kind.
Regarding sliders, we chose Slider Revolution because we believe it to be the most powerful option available to users on the market at this time. We know there are plenty of other great offers out there, and we think that is wonderful as competition fuels creativity and ingenuity. However, including and supporting multiple third-party plugins is something that we are careful of, as performance is a huge concern of ours. More plugins and scripts (even if they’re not being used) means more theme checks, more bloat, et cetera. For the time being, we are planning on sticking with Slider Revolution exclusively as it is tightly integrated into the X experience, right into the Customizer. We can assure you that you’ve never managed sliders like this and with such ease before. We are always interested in hearing the opinions of others though, and if you have any feedback on why you prefer Layer Slider, we’d love to hear it! For example, is there anything in particular that Layer Slider does that you know Slider Revolution doesn’t? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
With headers, we also think this is a very cool feature. Currently, this is not possible, but as stated above, we absolutely love to hear from our customers so that we can know where to take X next! It’s important to us that when the market is asking for something that we respond in kind. This doesn’t mean that every feature makes it in, but if enough people want something, or if we feel that a vast majority of users can benefit from a new feature, we will certainly work to include it (which is why our page builder integration with Visual Composer will be coming out soon)!
X was built with flexibility in mind. All of the homepage demos you see are built using shortcodes and are easy to move around in any fashion you see fit. We do include other shortcodes for sharing blog posts and things like that. If you should find that there is a particular bit of functionality you wish were incorporated into the theme, again, don’t hesitate to let us know and we’ll work to make it happen!
Thanks again for your very kind words and we hope to see you in our member area soon!
I have a pre-sale question as I like the theme and might be able to find some use for it but i like the blog with picture on the right – small or medium picture – from the first post and then some of the article and a read more button. I did not see that in any of the demo’s. Is that possible to do ?
Also does buddypress work well with this ?
Hey there,
Currently, we do not have any blog designs with images to the side. We are planning on including multiple blog designs as part of a later release to the theme. Currently our new release with Visual Composer integration is our highest priority.
Additionally, while we have not tested the theme with BuddyPress, X is developed with WordPress best practices, so it should be compatible with all professionally developed plugins. You will need to include any special templates and styling yourself should you choose to use it with BuddyPress for the time being.
Thanks for getting in touch with us and let us know if you have any further questions!
Thank you for getting back to me so quick. I will have to wait to buy your product when you have some more blog designs. I love all the work going into this theme and can not wait to buy it.
No problem, mmoore5553! We look forward to the day when we can see you in the member area.
Is there a way to use the demos that you offer as a starting point for creating a page?
john84,
Absolutely! Make sure to register for access to our member area where we provide all of these resources to you.
Thanks! We look forward to seeing you on the inside.
Wow!! When I purchased this theme, I didn’t even realize it came with that kind of support system. And the speed at which you replied was amazing. Needless to say, I am impressed.
That’s what we’re here for! Don’t hesitate to let us know if you need anything.
Just have a minor question regarding the X Theme, am I able to combine some of the features/ shortcodes in Integrity, Renew and Icon on one page? I do apologize of of the silly question, as I’m only new to WordPress designing.
downsouth,
No silly questions here! We’re always happy to clear up any questions about the theme.
With X, when you activate a Stack you’re activating a completely unique set of options, layouts, and functionality. All of the shortcodes are available across all stacks, but they will be styled to match that Stack. For example, you can use the [accordion] shortcode across all stacks, but you won’t be able to use the Integrity styled [accordion] if you’re using Renew.
Additionally, each Stack has it’s own set of options as I mentioned earlier, but their are also global options that work across all stacks, such as button styling, typography, et cetera.
Let us know if you need any further explanation about things!
Hi There-
Awesome looking theme! I have a pre-purchase question. Can I use this theme to create a membership site or would I need to install something like Premise (and would that be compatible?) I have a client who wants to create a membership site that allows anyone to see anything on certain pages, but members can log in to get access to members only areas. Is this possible with the current design or would I need to use a plugin such as Premise or some other?
Also, just a comment.. it does appear in your wording “The last wordpress theme you’ll ever have to buy” does lead one to believe they can use this theme to create multiple sites (for clients for example) however I did see a question about that in the forum from someone and you set him straight; he’ll have to purchase again for each site. I suggest pricing for multiple sites.. but limited not unlimited.
Hi Lyngaret,
Thanks for your comments! We’re pretty proud of it too
X should be compatible with any well coded membership plugin (we use it to run our site and memership). If you were wanting to build a true membership site you would need to use a 3rd party solution. I’m not personally familiar with Premise, but there are many that are popular and compatible with WordPress (Amember, MemberMouse to name a couple), and you shouldn’t have a problem incorporating it with X. Just one further point to clarify, while we are happy to provide support for X, we cannot provide support for 3rd party plugins. To date, there are no known issues with any plugins, however should there be an issue with the theme, our team will be happy to get it straightened out.
Secondly, we appreciate the feedback on the graphic, and I guess it could depend on how you read that statement. Per Themeforest’s text right next to the purchase button, each purchase is for one use, so our intention with that statement is that X is the last theme you’ll need to buy (for an individual project) and should there be another project, we of course think X should be the one you buy for that one as well
There are currently no unlimited licenses available on ThemeForest, per their terms. So an individual copy would need to be purchased for each use.
Hope that helps straighten things out, and thank-you for stopping by! We look forward to having you as a customer soon…
One more quick question.. where are you with the page builder/visual builder upgrade? I’ve read several comments where you say you are working on that…..
It is very close to being launched…I’d say 24-72 hours! Working on it as we type…
awesome! Well I guess I should let you get back to work then ;~) If I go ahead and purchase the theme today will I need to reinstall or just update? I assume you’ll have some instructions somewhere for doing so. I’m eager to make the purchase and get started on this site… looking forward to working with your amazing them. Thanks for all the hard work and quick response!!
Hey there,
You will need to FTP to your site and overwrite the original theme with the new version. It’s basically drag and drop with any standard FTP client. Easy peasy.
Hi lyngaret,
Just wanted to let you know that we have integrated Visual Composer into X. I know this was a feature you were interested in, so I just wanted to let you know it is now live! We look forward to having you as a customer!
HEy dabley, its under the “License certificate & purchase code” link, when you go to DL the purchased file. You’ll have to save or view that text doc, and then find the purchase code in there.
Thank you for the assistance, 008. Much appreciated!
No problem. Its not often i get to help someone.
The theme is fantastic BTW..by far the best WP theme i have ever purchased.
Wow, thank you so much for you kind words! We appreciate that very much.
Where can I find my item purchase code? so i can sign up for support community?
I am interested in knowing how i can activate the video header ?
Hey dabley,
008 is correct, you will be able to find it under the “License Certificate and Purchase Code” link that will come up when you click to download the theme. You can then save that to your computer so that you don’t have to come on here every time to get it.
Let us know if you need anything else!
Thanks Guys for your support!
Great template – allot to learn
Thank-you for the business, dabley!
