Simple question that is driving me crazy.
Just bought the theme and when i got to add a new page…i don’t have the tab for “page builder” next to “visual” and “text”. I assume there is something little i need to change to see this but i’m not having luck tracking it down.
Hi. Sorry to hear about your trouble.
When you activate the theme, it gives a notice about the plugins that the theme requires to function optimally. If you have dismissed this notice earlier, go to Appearance > Install Plugins and activate/install the recommended plugins. You must always have Bunyad Widgets, Bunyad Shortcodes, and Bunyad Page Builder enabled at least.
If they’re already active and you’re still having trouble, please create a topic at our Support Forums with a link to your site and admin info in a “private reply”.

After I installed the theme , i am not seeing an option to add a widget for advertisement as not advertisement widget show , and thus I can figure out how to add Google responsive ads.
the only widgets that appear are are : about , flickr, popular,recent , not other widgets from the theme appear.
would appreciate it if you can point this out

The Advertisement widget is named “Bunyad Advertisement” and needs the “Bunyad Widgets” plugin activated. Please ensure the plugin is active and that you are looking for the right name.

Hi! Really a great Theme but i have a request for the slider. Is is possibile to “cut” part of it ( use only the 5 slide and cut the other 3 thumbnail) or just adjust how it’s set to show one single sticky post on the right?

On the right side of slider, the 3 posts can be limited to a tag or a category. For example, you can tag 3 posts with slider-right and then:
Go to Appearance > Theme Settings > Slider & Featured. Under Right Side Posts Grid, enter tag slider-right.

Love the theme, with the share options on the posts, is it easy to make it so they open in new pop up windows rather then the parent window? If, is it a quick code change or something in the theme?

Guys just one fast question, I have installed the Slim Jetpack and I am using their gallery in my posts. But when I click on any of the pictures i get the following ’’Image cannot be loaded. Make sure the path is correct and try again.’‘ and picture doesn’t open.
Do you guys have any experience with this?

Why in the social section above the header if I put in a text widget, with the other social icon, “[social_icon link=”http://instagram.com/” title=”Instagram” type=”instagram” /]”, the instagram icon is not showing up?It work but the icon isn’t visible…

ok thank you; maybe the update-mail has arrived to my customer address and she didn’t advise me. Another question; I’ve changed the homepage with a custom-builded home page (with the Page-builder). I’ve setted as by your instruction in “setting -> reading”; if I put the url www.mysite.it from a “logged wordpress admin” browser it work and show the right homepage, but if I (for example) open a private browsing window from the same computer and write www.mysite.it…it shows the old (standard) homepage…and the same from another pc or device…how is it possible?I’ve already cleared browser cache…maybe it’s my host issue?(I see just now that also the blog post aren’t refreshing as my last edit..)
It’s most likely to be a cache plugin or host-side cache. The only cache this theme has is in Bunyad Widgets plugin – the custom sidebar and footer widgets.
Please ask your client to get you the updated version and setup a Support Forums account for you. We can only provide support to verified buyers.

Thank you again, all now work fine (it was an host-side cache problem)...but I found another issue (sorry for all these questions…) if I browse the site by mobile, the social icon (the sharing one in the article and the social in the header) didn’t show up..only appear like colored square with no icon. And this also happen to the featured slider arrows in the homepage…I didn’t edit nothing by css or php, I only used your internal editor!
p.s: any news for the instagram social icon that don’t appear?
ok for the instagram icon I solved with ur last update…but for the smartphone issue nothing change..I will open a thread in ur support forum (using my customer account)

Sorry, but SmartMag currently doesn’t include WooCommerce integration and styling. If you do use WooCommerce, you will have default styling of WooCommerce. Not something we would recommended.

Hi, I’m having an issue with the “Gallery Format”. The Gallery slider is showing only five images, but there are about 19 images in the gallery. Is there a limit variable somewhere?

looks great and most importantly you’re keeping it updated according to your update logs. i’ve seen many great looking themes lately but there’s always been some random yet huge downfall with each of them or it seems that often times the dev begins to lack interest in the project(s). i’m looking for an all around solid theme that i can rely on for the next few years and i think ill be getting this one. ive been looking into it thoroughly (clicking around, viewing source, looking on my phone etc) and so far i don’t have really anything to complain about.

Hi there, we like your theme, however we have 3 pre-sale questions please: 1. you have not used any videos in your posts/demo, is this compatibility issue or what? 2. The main menu does not work on Mac/Safari!! we could not see the mega menu at all! 3. Can the main slider on the homepage feature latest videos instead of images? Many thanks
1. One of the aims of the theme is to be light so videos in post thumbnails aren’t added as a default feature – a featured image is instead. Videos are only embedded and featured on the “single post” page, for example http://theme-sphere.com/smart-mag/nam-egestas-mi-mauris/
2. We have tested it on Mavericks Safari 7 and Mountain Lion Safari 6.1. Both are working without issues. Can you please share your Mac details? Perhaps the Javascript load got interrupted. Please try refreshing.
3. By default, again, we used featured images instead of embedding videos there. However, a user had requested for it to be included and we gave them a small code edit to embed Vimeo videos in the slider.

Hi. You cannot add icons to mega menu to default but if you explain your requirement, we might be able to guide you to do some customization. We’ll need a link to your site and a temporary admin login to test the second issue.

Is it possible to display image captions or legends in posts and galleries? The photos in newspapers normally need to have captions or legends. Do you have any examples of images with captions or legends?

Sorry but the captions are only supported within in-post default WordPress image galleries and not in the gallery at top of gallery post format. It’s a feature we’re considering for the near-future.

I am using the in-post default WordPress images to be able to use captions, and I think the paddings should be improved. They do not look very nice: the captions are not centred bellow the images. That widget is not available by default in current version but is provided on request at forums. Or you can use a plugin that provides that widget such as “Recent Comments with Gravatar”. By default, using the WordPress’s default comments widget, only comments are shown.

1. How can i make same appearance like demo site? I do import smartmag-sample file but it doesnt looks like demo page, but just only style. No image is imported and menu is crashed. Im first use wordpress, so i want to make same design like demo site.
2. Im using Internet Explorer 9.0, But dont see perfectly. Dont looks like chrome or higher verion IE. For example, Grid is vertical spread to bottom like only 1 grid.
Design and layout is very good.
But this 2 reason make me getting hard to use this theme

1. Did you do all the steps mentioned under “Sample Content Import” here: http://theme-sphere.com/smart-mag/documentation/#installation
Please note that the demo content does NOT include the sample images for copyright reasons. You have to edit each post and “Set Featured Image” to make it look good.
2. Once you have featured images set, the layout will be fine in IE 9.0 too.

How do you set a Featured post in the Mega Menu? It is not documented and it was not clear to me how to set a “Featured Post”. I figured it meant Sticky post but that does not seem to work. Still have not been able to
The featured post shown in the category mega menu is the latest post marked as “Featured Slider Post?” post for that category. You have an option to mark posts as featured when you’re creating them – the same setting that adds them to the main slider.

That was my thought… I will log a case on the Support forum because when I enable this option: Featured Slider Post = Checked Layout Style= Default
I am still not seeing the featured post in my mega-menu
is there anyway to remove the top featured area on the homepage? I want just a simple featured slider with the sidebar all the way to the top of the area instead of a full width featured area. Any possibility?
