have installed the theme on WP 3.8.1 on MAMP successfully. When I have tried to install plugins I have received the following error
The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
for Layer Slider, Vibe Course Module, Vibe Custom Types, Vibe Short Codes.
Today I have downloaded the new file as per your response to someone else on a brand new WP install and the same issue occurs.
Can you please advise.
The above error means that the download files are corrupted. Since you’re developing locally on MAMP, you can simply extract the plugins from wplms->plugins folder, unzip them and copy the unzipped folders in the wp-content/plugins directory. This is same as installing the plugin. After this you can simply go to WP Admin -> Plugins and activate the plugins respectively.

Thanks for reply, I’ve gone through your mentioned link. So here is it possible that instructor can view how much commission he has made and how much he got paid and on which date? Is there option to enter his paypal id cos that’s the only thing admin need to pay them. No need to get merchant account. Doesn’t matter which account type instructor has they enter their paypal ID and that’s enough to pay their commission. If they can not see no of course selling and commission they’ve made and when they get paid for it, I think it’s raise issue of trust for them..Are you going develop credit system plugin separate or part of the theme?

I’ve read the license explanation from themeforest but still not sure if buying an extended license would allow one to modify and add to the theme and then resell as their own theme? Is that what the extended license provides?
No, extended license does not allow you to resell the theme as it is. AFAIK Extended license does allow you to include the theme as a part of a bigger package which you can resell “ with Theme author’s permission ”, and you can not resell the theme as a WordPress theme.
Extended license is mostly useful for plugins where you want to include it as a part of the theme. For WordPress themes if you want to use the WP Theme more than 50 times only then it would be useful for you to purchase the theme. You can contact Envato support on this for more clarity.
ok thanks for the reply. That’s what I was thinking too but just wasn’t sure. I wasn’t planning on reselling as is but possibly to some of my clients as a completely developed and customized LMS site using wordpress. So is that something that is correct and within the extended guidelines?

We do have a plugin in development which is basically a Credit system, which will allow part of what you’re referring. However, I would refrain from any automatic payments as it poses security issues which can not be contained at the code level.

Please re download the WPLMS package from themeforest. The latest version has layerslider 5.1.1 and do not paste the link of the zip file.

ok last thing… I have imported the demo xml file…. however layer slide is not found… the same as your demo site home page Layerslide [2]. I have imported sample sliders as well. As I have just installed the layerslide plugin, would I need to re-import the demo xml file ? thanks

Yes. 4 Things you need to check for this.
1. Check your permalinks, it should be postname
2. Check the Course Start page is connected in Options Panel -> Miscellaneous.
3. Check if the page connected has the template “Start Course”
4. It is taking you to activity because it can not find the page and your 404 page is set as Activity

Ok. Create a new blank page and attach the page template (refer screenshot) Start course page. After you’re created this page, simply go to Vibe Options PAnel -> Course Manager and connect this page in Take this Course page (**description to be corrected.) refer screenshot
Hi, I can’t install Codecanyon plugin Eventon. I can’t see Events in the admin menu (custom post) but I can create an event from “Add New” feature from front end. The answer from the Eventon developer was: Hey there, sounds to me like your theme is altering the left side menu. So please check for any theme options that might be altering the menu to see if you can enable eventON menu.

Ok. These changes can be done in the Eventon plugin and in the WPLMS theme. Ideally I would suggest changes in the plugin, because theme update will overwrite these changes. But here’s a quick fix which’ll work for you:
Go to WP Admin -> Plugins -> editor -> Vibe Custom types -> custom-post-types.php locate the code:
'vibe_lms_dashboard','',6 );and change the 6 to 7.

I have another question: I want to change parts of the URLs that are in English. Let me explain. When you are on a course category, I would replace /course-cat/ by /thematique/. Like when you are in a course, I would replace /course/ by /formation/ and replace /unit/ per /cours/.

Each of the changes with the slug would require custom changes. Changing the course-cat to thematique is easy but others like course with formation and unit with cours is hard to accomplish. You can create a thread for the first one in the forums.
I’m just about ready to buy this amazing theme. And it seems like you give outstanding support. Here are my remaining questions before purchasing:
1. Can page builder be used in units and in posts?
2. Dripping a. Can we set a start date for courses and then start dripping the units on the start date rather than upon enrollment so that everyone in the course is on the same unit.
b. Is it possible to set the dripping duration for each unit separately. If there is a constant duration throughout then for a month long course, there would be units dripped on the weekends.
c. is it possible to have units not become available until a specific calendar date. Would setting the publishing date of the unit do this, or is there some way to do this better through your system.
3. Does this theme work if there are just a couple of courses. Do we need to use the course directory and Become a teacher page. Is there another way to present the list of courses through shortcodes.
4. Can mark this unit complete feature be turned off so that student can just go to the next unit or so that clicking on the next button automatically marks it complete
5. Is it possible to have a magazine style blog – multiple columns. Or is there just the one layout for blogs?
6. Will there be any problem NOT displaying the following on my site, while still having the full look and capabilities of the theme: badges, quizzes, number of students, the avatars/names of students enrolled publicly displayed on course page, course badge and course certificate listed in sidebar
7. Are subscriptions handled through your own woocommerce plugin? I use Paypal Advanced and woocomerce’s Paypal advanced plugin. Is this compatible with your course subscriptions?
8. Did you build this theme to take advantage of the new features in buddypress 1.8 – the new template hierarchy, the new Groups extensions etc. I know they made a lot of changes to the platform recently.
1. No, page builder is only for pages. However, with a little tweak in the code it can be enabled for units and posts, but we’d recommend using page builder only for pages like home, about, services etc..
2. a. Currently No, but this is easily possible with little code modification. I’ll add it in feature requests as of now.
2 b. No, the drip is constant for entire course. Primarily because units are independent and be reused for other courses.
2 c. No, same reply as above. However, the next version brings in an update wherein you can tie a unit to a course.
3. There are custom blocks in pagebuilder for courses using which you can create almost any type of layouts, like grids, masonry, infinite scroll etc.
4. Yes, this can be done.
5. Yes, possible using page builder.
6. No. Visibility of all these can be controlled from options panel.
7. Yes, the plugins should be compatible
8. The theme was built on BuddyPress 1.9 and it takes full advantages of all the latest Buddypress features.

I just thought of a work around for you for numbers 2b and 2c. If you could have an option to turn the visibility of a unit off, then we could put blank units in as placeholders for the weekend days of a course. They would still be part of the drip cycle, they just wouldn’t show on the timeline. Could that work. Just a suggestion.

2. Only the payment calculation for each instructor based on each course commission and Payment history is recorded in WPLMS.
3. WPLMS uses WooCommerce and you can easily find affiliate plugins for woocommerce for this.

Currently, there is no concept of withdrawing money. The Admin calculates the commissions and saves it and makes payments.

profif ? There are several plugins available for Chat and videoconference which can be used with WPLMS. Chat and videoconference feature is not inbuilt in WPLMS.

Ok. We do have a teachers/Instructors dashboard area. Maybe we can make WPLMS compatible with some plugin for this purpose. <brr />Yes, BuddyPress has a separate profile section. The fields in the profile section can be managed using WP Admin -> Users -> Profile fields, if you’ve enabled x-profile component in the BuddyPress settings.

Is there any chance inside the quiz, the user can send a file like pdf or word and it save that file when you send your quiz submission in your results, and the instructor can see that file with the rest of the questions?

1. Yes, you can create masonry for each course category, better you can create an all courses page filterable by course categories
2. Teachers can create private forums, Instructor only groups & forums, or invitation based groups with forums.
3. This is a requested feature which will be available in future updates.
4. Yes, you can even add infinite scroll.

2. Yes, this is a standard issue with all Buddypress and n press themes. As such there are no hosting requirements but you’ll need to increase your php memory limit to128m. Which you need to confirm with your web host.

and why when i compare the structure, the structure of imported pages and wplms are different. For example if i go to ” home page” i dont have buttom bar (popular courses,latest courses,buddypress links, browse categories, course categories, a counter of people online) In “all courses page ” i dont have sidebar (course category, popular courses, top rated courses),....,blog page- i dont have a sidebar (post/comments,last tweets,featured testimonials) and etc…

bottom bars are sidebars , please add some widgets in top footer sidebar and bottom footer sidebar. The course categories widget is a custom menu widget with course categories. Please check the widgets

Reimporting Options panel does not duplicate anything, I guess you may have imported the sample data twice. Since, sample data is only for testing purpose, the duplicate content should not matter much as long as you’re not using it.
i did even data recovery and its even shows me all double, on the main menu i just had deleted but how to delete these doublications from upper menu and footer, i dont know, i wa trying many these doesnt work, if you would gave me your email i would send you a screenshot

We’ve not tested it with membermouse plugin. If it uses the wp users table in the database than that is all WPLMS requires.
