Hi – can this easily be used for in-person courses? And can you tell me how? A lot of the functions are overkill and I’m mostly interested in the in-person courses with certificates, and course history. Thx.
For in-person courses you can only use the Course curriculum , Badges and certificates. All the other social components like groups/forums are configurable and can be turned off. The workflow depends on how you want your students to interact with the site. There is also a new feature coming up in our next version: Course Events which may be useful as well.

For example we change single.php,style.css and index.php in our theme files , when we upload the next update all our previous files will be lost ? How can we prevent this ?
For this purpose we have packed a WPLMS Customizer plugin in the WPLMS Package using which you can change a lot many things in the theme. There a lot of hooks in the theme which allow you to change the structure of almost anything you need. We regularly add tips and tricks in our forums using which you can change a lot many things in the WPLMS Package.
Can we make it so our users don’t have to activate their account first?..

This is a buddypress+wordpress feature, you can try out different methods given in BuddyPress forums for this.

You need to assign the course Curriculum in course setting. This curriculum is automatically detected by the Start page.

Two questions: 1) Can you use images or multimedia in the quiz question (or answer?)
2) What is the purpose of the groups feature? Could you possibly use it to divide up classes of students- such that there is are 3 classes of 20 students all in the same course but different instructors? Is that how you could keep them separate or would you just duplicate courses and change permalinks, etc?
1. Yes
2a. Groups is a standard Buddypress feature, in WPLMS a membership to a group is permanent, a group can be public or private and there are several plugins specifically for groups feature like group documents etc.. which allow you to enhance this functionality.
2b. No, this is not supported in the theme.
2c. Yes, you can reuse the units and include them in the course curriculum to create new courses for new set of students.
Hello, Thank you for creating this awesome theme. I have an interest in developing and selling a few small online courses. I am not a designer. This looks like the perfect theme for my purpose. I think it probably has more capacity than I need (no grades, certificates etc needed). I am wondering if I can add pages in the front, so that I can have home page, about me, services (other than classes) and have the classroom set up some pages back. Also, is it possible to charge a fee for each class separately? Lastly, based on my lack of knowledge of website design, is it fairly straight forward- how to design te site? It looked like from the demo that there was a lot of drag and drop. (perfect for me!).

Hi,
WPLMS comes with a drag drop page builder which makes creating new pages and layouts really easy. As such there is no concept of classes however you can create new courses with same units and this way you can keep different sets of students for same course.
...and iWPLMS is compatible with woocommerse, too, so that I could charge differnt fees for different classes, correct?

I am loving this theme. Years ago, when I first began withthe vision I am now wanting to put into place, I imagined community/social function site and various course offerings around my theme. At the time, there were no integrated themes. There were subscription programs, but my lack of technical skill and meager resources didnt allow for me to put that vision into practice. WPLMS appears to be the perfect integrated system for what I was envisioning. Thank you for developing this!

Hi i have found this problem
1) During course purchasing: -i can’t see a “apply discount” field in other page, but only in cart (if i use skip cart and product i can’t add a coupon?) -inside woocommere the fields produtc and category is broken and i can add a specific coupon over a product
2) After course purchasing: -when i push “start course” i’m riderected to activity page (404) -when i have bought a course i see my avatar of “test profile” near “student enrolled” but the counter in student enrolled and in course presentation is broken and counts 0 -Can i connect automatically student whith bought courso without admin approvation?
Hi, i have resolved the problems of “apply coupon” but inside woocommerce i find a solution, in point 2) i had resolve the problem of “start course” and the counter works!
But can i redirect student to course after purchasing? And when i study the course immediatily when i will mark unit complete in the following unit i see an orange box with “unit aviable in 23 hours” how can i delete this? i want to give a free access to my course unit by unit
This has been requested by one other member (yesterday) and it is a good suggestion. It is currently in the issue log and will be added in future versions.
It seems that you have enabled the Drip feed functionality in the course, simply disable the drip feed from the course settings.
I managed to update to 1.3.4 and now have the following issue. I am in a private forum under my admin account. I tried to reply to a topic but when I hit submit this message appears: ERROR: Are you sure you wanted to do that?
I see no buttons to click yes/no, or checkboxes etc. What is causing this? I have tried unchecking/checking the Notify me box, removing the spelling mistakes, etc and it doesn’t go through.
In a private group, adding a topic in the forums just redirects to another topic in that forum.

It would be cool if you had a video skin to go with this theme. Something for self hosted videos. Then, in addition to that, a built-in CTA that can be placed after videos to promote people to buy into a course.

I have successfully installed the theme on my site, but now I’m at the point where I should click on “Settings” and work with the Component, Pages and Settings. I don’t have a long drop-down list like your video. For example, when I click on “Course” I have no option to click “All courses.” What have I done wrong? Can you please email me?

The unapproved status is a bug in forums software, I approve all the posts with unapproved status when I check them.
If you’re referring to BuddyPress -> Pages, the long list of pages appear from the imported sample data. You can import the sample data from the sampledata.zip file contained in your package or simply create a blank page and attach it to All Courses section in the Settings -> BuddyPress -> Pages. You can always email me at vibethemes@gmail.com if you face any issues.
I’ve purchased the theme but haven’t had a chance to start working with it yet. I’ve been looking at the documentation, comments ect…and I haven’t see anything about front end course submissions. When will this feature be available?

Where can I find the words “Have Questions ? Ask in the Unit Forums” used when a unit is attached to a forum. It is on the bottom of the unit and I would like to edit that language and can’t seem to find which file has it in the editor. Thanks!

Hi i have some question:
1) during the translation with poedit i can’t found word like “students enrolled, minutes, months,hours and other to translate(i had use 1.3.3 .po files) where i can find it for translation?
2) Some words don’t change after tranlsation with poedit like fourm word and profile voice (i followed correctly the video tutorial)
3) i can’t add a sidebar in directories, categories and register page, where i can find this passage in documentation?
4) Can i give a cashback like “points” or credit to buy other products?
5) I have seen in other comments that you will be release a new version with event plugin for offline course when it will be aviable?

other question i have seen two fields “location” which add the position of member below the username in member’s profile and “expertise” which add the instructors’ skills below the name of instructor in he’s courses, how can i translate this words? please help… congratulations for 1.3.4 updating!
1. The words you mentioned above are included in the .po files in the 1.3.4 update.
2. Create forum thread for highlighting these words. We’ll update them in .po file in later versions.
3. For all the pages mentioned above, you have to use the Sidebar BuddyPress. I’ll add a video tip coming up for this in the forums.
4. You can find Woocommerce supporting plugins for this
5. The version 1.4 brings the Events plugin.
6. You can add custom profile fields using WP admin -> Users -> Profile fields and select these fields in the Options Panel -> Course Manager.
Great Theme! Is there any way of renaming “courses” as something else? I am building a website where courses are labeled as “tracks”. Is there any way of doing this? Thanks in advance
There are constants in the theme for this which you can redefine, but I’ve not yet tested WPLMS for this type of customization.
There is no doubt ,WPLMS is a great theme.I am exploring the options of buying the LearnDash.I could not find the demo link for the same on your forums.Could you please let me know when this will be back. 1) if i use the Learndash, can I get rid of using buddy press which will be heavy for the site? 2.Can instructor enter course,Quiz from Front End?
WPLMS is Learndash compatible but since Learndash architecture is different, WPLMS loses most of its functionality. There is no Instructor in Learndash.

First of all: great theme! A small question about meta tags. Where can I change the <meta content=”VibeThemes” name=”author”> and so on?

I’ll add a switch for this in Options Panel -> Miscellaneous. For now you can disable this by
1. Open WP Admin -> Appearance -> Editor ->WPLMS -> register.php
2. Locate function vibe_header_essentials
3. Locate the line and delete it.
