Your demos for X-theme keep hanging. I haven’t been able to view more than one blog page all night. Whats the problem?
Hmmm, it must be something on your end as our sites and demos are loading just fine, and we’ve had no other reports of this.
Hi, It seems that the X theme is great and fits my need. Is there a way that I can test and play with it before I purchase it? Thanks, Yaron
There is no place to test it out, however you can check out this demo video of the Customizer in action: http://theme.co/x/customizer/
Cheers, my friend!
Thanks for the prompt answer. Since there is no way to test the theme, I will ask few more questions: 1. My site will include thousands of pictures and hundred of videos arranged in folders and sub folders (more like a gallery inside a gallery). How can I achieve this with this theme? 2. Do I need to create a new page / post for each gallery? Is there a limit to how many I can use? Do you know if anyone tries these theme with so many pictures? 3. What format do you support for self-hosted video files?
And last question, if I buy the theme and then by using it, I see that it doesn’t fit my needs, is it possible to get your money back? (I wish there was a way to try it in a test area or for a limited time…)
Thanks, Yaron
Hi Yaron,
1. How you arrange the content is up to you. With our portfolios, you can have multiple portfolios with their own categories/sub categories. It would obviously be your responsibility to set everything up but there are a lot of options when it comes to Portfolios, however your options would be Portfolios or individual pages with their own custom menus and/or sidebars. There are a lot of different directions you could go.
2. There is technically not a limit to the number of items in a gallery but keep in mind that organizing this much data will take time to setup and administrate. I have not seen a site to date with thousands and thousands of items. Again, there is no reason technically you couldn’t do this, it’s just that any site with this much content might be best suited for something custom that fits your needs.
3) M4V and OGV.
Envato has a policy on refunds you can read about here.
Cheers, my friend!
Thanks.
You’re most welcome!
hi there, I really like the look of your templates. I am looking for something that will provide me with the ability to create a “line card” style page. Does this template offer that ability or would I need to add additional plugins to do this?
thx
Hi There,
Not sure what you mean by “line card.” Could you explain a little further?
hi again, the linecard idea I’m trying to achieve would be similar to this example but not as a pdf. (example: http://www.advancecomm.net/store/downloads/103.pdf). I’m thinking custom post type or portfolio.
Hey there,
Sorry about this, but the example that you seem to have provided is displaying a “The page cannot be found” error message.
Hi X,
I just downloaded X and uploaded the way your instructructions describe and did not have any problems. However, did the exact same thing when uploading the child theme and I received an error message stating:
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.
Can you help?
So I’m clear: The folder x-child-themes is the folder I uploaded.
Please disregard my comments. Thank you.
Glad you got it sorted out. If you have not done so already, be sure to register for all of our member resources here: http://theme.co/x/go/register.php
Cheers!
Quick Question? I like your theme a lot but I was wondering if I can put a slider image in the portfolio for each item of the portfolio. For example, I click on an image and in the details page theres slider with let say 5 images that I can slide through…?
IF you want an example go to KR8TOR.com
Hi There,
Couldn’t get that site to load, however there is a Responsive Slider shortcode you could add to your portfolio items if you need to. You can see it in action here. Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Thanks will buy the theme…
Looking forward to having you in the Theme.co family soon
Since “stacks” are new, I’m trying to wrap my mind around them before I buy “X”.....which I’m dying to buy
So, quick question:
1. Can you “mix and match” elements or features from one “stack” with elements and features of another “stack”?
2. Or do you simply choose one of the three stacks and roll with it?
Thanks,
Howdy Steve,
Great question! You can’t mix and match different elements as the design elements are unique to each Stack. Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Hi ! I’m currently working to build the corporate website for my company with WordPress, but have not any coding, html, css or things like stat skills ! Is that a problem to make the website with WP using your template ?
Please answer in all sincerity
Best regards,
Hi There,
We receive comment often from beginners about how much they like working with X. It is important to keep in mind that any new product has a learning curve, especially one as dynamic as X. We feel X is a good blend of high end functionality mixed in with each of use, and we provide ample video tutorials, knowledge base articles, and other resources. You can also see many reviews on our listing from beginners. Let us know if you have any further questions about the theme.

Hi There,
you can download all our 30 demo installation files in our member area. After you’ve bought the theme please go to: http://theme.co/x/go/register.php and create your account.
In the exable pages contact page i get [contact-form-7 404 “Not Found”]
i allready figure it out
Glad you’ve figured it out! If you need anything else feel free to write us in our support forum.
This theme looks perfect. Hovering over that Buy button.
Quick question: on your demo site (“Say hello to X”) the navigation menu is set to jump around a single page site using anchor tags. Looks like there’s some javascript in there too to ease the animation. Is this a built-in theme feature or custom coding just for your demo page?
Thanks. Parri
Hi There,
this function is called “one page navigation” and we ship it with our theme. You can recreate a smooth scrolling animations to different sections on your site with X with ease.
Fantastic. Thanks for the quick response.
You’re most welcome!
How do I turn comments off on pages for this theme? Besides going into every page and manually turning them off? thanks
Hi There,
You can definitely turn them off on a page by page basis, beyond that you could ask one of our developers in our forum. If you have not registered for access yet, you can do so here: http://theme.co/x/go/register.php
Cheers, my friend!
With Renew 10, Can I have multiple pages?
Basically I want the main page to briefly touch on topics, but have a “learn more” button for each topic to take viewers to a separate page with more info?
Hi There,
While Renew 10 is showcasing the one page feature you can link out to more standard pages in your one page navigation (should you wish). Essentially each page can have it’s own menu so you can mix and match both the one page functionality mixed in with more standard pages.
Let us know if you have any further questions, and we’ll be happy to help!
Thank you. One more question related to my first question:
If the user clicks on more info and is sent to another page, could the same top menu on that page, when clicked, take the user back to a specific section of the one page design? Or would it just take them back to the top of the one page design?
Hi There,
you could use a custom menu which has the absolute link plus the ID in the url so it would instantly jump to that section, however there would be no smooth scrolling animation. We can help you on how to achieve that in our support forum.
Thank you for your response and answer. Two more questions:
1) I like the smooth scrolling, so instead of linking to more info which would disable it, can I have a “show more info” button that would display more info (that was originally hidden) just below the main info? similar to this: http://www.cmessolutions.com/#ourteam
2) Should I be worried about SEO with a one page design. My client’s business is growing rapidly with several franchise locations and more opening, so Google searching will be very important.
Hi There,
1) We do not have a feature for this out of the box.
2) X was developed according to development best practices as it relates to SEO. With that in mind, there is only so much a theme can do as most on site SEO is managed/handled by proper use of a third party solution such as Yoast or All In One SEO Pack.
Still trying to wrap my head around this Renew 10 theme (because I love it) and want to know if it’ll do what I need before I buy:
1) The Services section: do the icons have to fly in from the side? Can they be static?
2) Can I link to a blog and use the Renew 2 theme for that (i.e. combine Renew 10 and Renew 2)?
3) Can you have multiple plots (franchises) on the Google Map?
1) They do not have to animate in. That is optional.
2) Yes, you can link out to a standard blog (the blog would have to have its own navigation as it would obviously not be a one page site anymore).
3) You can see the current options for the Map Shortcode here. Anything beyond that would be your responsibility to integrate/code.
Hi There,
Just a quick note that as of June 20, 2014 we have switched our Renew 2 and Renew 10 demos for organization purposes. The Renew 2 demo is now a one page example (using the Renew Stack) while the Renew 10 demo is the fullwidth colored bands. We wanted to pass that on to avoid any potential confusion since part of your question and/or our answer had to do with those demos. Cheers!
Hello, forgive me if I overlooked. Are the 30 demo themes included with this purchase?
We provide demo content in our member area to help recreate the demo home pages. Once purchased, you can access it all by registering here: http://theme.co/x/go/register.php
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Hi im interested in purchasing this license… question is im trying to do a lifestyle blog where the main page with be more blog/YouTube/social media updates/content and then i have one page for products (with a shopping cart) and another page for services (for my recording studio, video editing) (with a shopping cart)
is this theme capable of pulling something like this idea off?
Sure! Stylistically you can see some different design options for the blog, store, etc by checking out the different demos. Let us know if you need anything further, and we’ll be happy to help!
Are pricing tables included? My intended use is for a property directory..do you see any issues with that? thanks..
also..my use will be heavy images and videos..any chance to use lazy load or similar here?
Hi There,
We do have a pricing table shortcode that you can see in action here. If you are looking for specific directory features, there are none in X, however the theme can absolutely be used for an assortment of different sites.
We provide pagination for portfolio and blog items to prevent that there are too many items on one single page, however there is no lazy load option. You are free to modify the site as needed once purchased however.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Hello there-
I was considering purchasing the X theme and I was just curious if there is a fee for any future updates that might come along? Also when future updates do come along, will that affect any changes or shortcodes we’ve made to the site or does everything stay intact? I know on the included Wordpress theme’s a child theme is necessary to keep the changes when an update comes along. This theme looks amazing by the way!
Thanks for the help!
Hi There,
All future updates are free
The only additional cost would be future license purchases should you wish to use X on another domain.
Updates to the shortcode plugin shouldn’t cause any issues as you won’t be editing core shortcode files. Very rarely we have to make a change to a core shortcode file but if and when we do it is very limited in scope and for very specific reasons. Of course, we are there to help should anything arise
And yes, we definitely recommend making edits via the provided child theme files in our member area.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Thanks for the feedback and quick response!
You’re most welcome
I was about to write an email to you regarding the layouts. But i checked the support site before, and… guys, i can’t find words. Not because english isn’t my native language, i can’t find words on my mother tongue either
I feel that this theme got stolen from you for $60
thanks again, such a great theme and support!
Thank-you so much for taking the time to come share this. X has been (and always will be) a labor of love for all involved in its development and support! We are thrilled to have you in the Theme.co family, my friend!!
Hi, 2 real newbie (& probably completely dumb!) questions: I have no idea about writing ANY kind of code! How easy is X? I mean, will I be able to take advantage of all the wonderful features you have?
And…....I have 3 domains – so 3 sites – can I use X on all 3 from 1 download, or do I have to buy 3 times? (Careful!! Your answer to this question may well influence my decision to buy!!!!)
Whether I end up as a customer or not, I wish you all every success with X – great stuff! david
Hi David,
There are no dumb questions, my friend
1) We feel X is a good blend of high end functionality mixed in with an intuitive interface. As with any new product, there is always a bit of a learning curve, and this is not different with a product as dynamic as X. Having said that, we provide ample video tutorials and resources to help with setting up you site in our member area.
2) A license can be used on a single domain, so if you had 3 sites that you wanted to use X on, you would need to purchase 3 licenses.
Thank-you for your kind words, and let us know if you have any further questions.
Hello there, can you use X to building landing pages for PPC campaigns???
X is a very versatile theme that can be used for virtually any application. If you have not seen these already, you can check out some of our blank templates that could be of assistance. All our best, my friend!
I am building a website with X for a client (theme purchased on their account).
How do you accomplish the full-width background effects (parallax, background color, etc.) while maintaining left and right padding on the content?
In the theme options, I have only been able to accomplish this by setting the site and content width to 100%, and adding additional padding to the content via custom CSS.
There has to be a better way to do this.
Thanks in advance.
Hi There,
Our developers provide all theme support in the forums. If you haven’t registered yet you can do so here: http://theme.co/x/go/register.php
Cheers!
is there a login splash page in this? My client wants a fullscreen with a login box…then go to the site…?
Hi There,
There is not a custom login screen, but there is a protect shortcode you can read about here. Cheers!
can i put this short code on a full screen page- im looking to buy – client wants a splash page with login before the main site…
My apologies, but I’m not following. The shortcodes can be added anywhere, but I don’t know what you mean by “spash page with login before the main site”
If you are saying they want to somehow password protect the entire site that is functionality you would need to look for outside of a theme (some sort of 3rd party solution).
