Hi ThemeCo, I see your theme has integrated SEO options. I may want to go with Wordpress SEO plugin instead. Can this theme work together with WP SEO or do you have an option to disable the onboard SEO features so that they won’t collide?

There are no “SEO options” built into the theme aside from things we have done to make our code as SEO friendly as possible from a development perspective. You will be totally fine to integrate something like Yoast or All In One SEO Pack to manage the onsite SEO.

We do not have business directory functionality integrated into the theme (out of the box). We have not tested X with any business directory plugins so regretfully cannot give any recommendations. Cheers, my friend!

Hi theme.co, I want to use the parallax scrolling effect that theme X provided, But I have some questions.
Can I configure the parallax effect that text shows first and than image comes in? or image shows first then text comes in?
Also, can I add multiple images or text sections in one parallax section, and configure how they animate?

1) Keep in mind that there will be a background image in a parallax section, however you can animate anything in a column (text, other images, etc)
2) Yes. You can control the offset for each column (how fast/slow each column animates).

Hi ThemeCo, I just started using X but I’m facing an issue: whenever I make some changes on the Customizer page, and then i save&publish, those changes seem to be lost if I access the live page or even if I close the Customizer page and the re-enter in it, even if I see those in the live preview.
May I ask you if I’m doing something wrong here?

Hello, I’d like a video header much like the one in Integrity 1. Apart from mp4 what other requirements should the video have in term of dimensions. It’s going to be a full width video header.
I don’t mind it being a little grainy of course…
The video I’m thinking of using is 640×360 – 3.7 MB and 13 seconds long.
Will that work?

Cant Install x Shortcodes. Returns error The plugin does not have a valid header.
Same with Slider Revolution and Visual composer.
All are loaded and in wp-content/themes/x/framework/plugins/x-shortcodes.zip

It’s possible that a security plugin, or server configuration will prevent the automatic installation of bundled plugins. Reinstalling them manually should solve this.

I assure you it’s not a theme issue as most of our users install automatically (the way the feature is intended to work), however some hosts have restrictions in place for automatic updates.

Great theme, very versatile. I am trying to use the structure of this site for my site. What I am trying to accomplish is having a header image above the navigation and having the navigation fixed at the top. Reading through the other questions and comments, I have figured out that i need to use Integrity 01. I do not know how to implement this. I am in the dashboard of WordPress under customization…i have Integrity and selected Fullwidth, Header Navbar Position is Fixed Top. My issue is, it is not working. Also I am trying to add an image above the navigation as is on this site. However i do not know where I need to go to add the image. I am trying to use 1 image that will not rotate. Any help is appreciated!

For all of the great documentation in the PDF of the theme, there is nothing that explains how to load the demo content. How do you do it?

Thanks for writing in! Like a vast majority of Internet site owners, we have certainly recently become aware of the Heartbleed vulnerability in the OpenSSL library. Our site is not under attack, nor is any website that runs on systems utilizing OpenSSL, it is merely an issue with the library itself that could potentially allow for problems in certain instances. Fortunately, we don’t pass or store any information on our servers related to sensitive information (i.e. addresses, credit cards, et cetera), so you can login without worry of any potential problems while we work to address this as soon as possible.
Regarding demo content, we have an extensive article in the Knowledge Base of the member area titled “Demo Content” under the “Setup” section that features plenty of written information, as well as a 15 minute video that walks through this entire process. You should find this video most helpful in this process.

Mobile Navigation button question for anyone who owns the theme (or developers).
It seems you have to click on the nav button after selecting an item in the menu. This has got to be a bug. see screengrab: http://note.io/1kAfKqt

The page that you are referencing is our sales page and is a slightly modified version of the theme for our purposes, which includes some alterations to the navigation. This navigation is not intended to behave exactly like the navigation in the actual theme itself. For a better idea of how this works with the theme and a one page navigation example, try checking out our Renew 10 demo. This is how the navigation will function for users on mobile devices if you opt to use the one page navigation example.

Just a quick note that as of June 20, 2014 we have switched our Renew 2 and Renew 10 demos for organization purposes. The Renew 2 demo is now a one page example (using the Renew Stack) while the Renew 10 demo is the fullwidth colored bands. We wanted to pass that on to avoid any potential confusion since part of your question and/or our answer had to do with those demos. Cheers!

There are dozens of examples of a slider in the different demos. As a matter of fact most of them have a slider (only a couple do not). We do have a page builder integration with Visual Composer.

Thanks for your quick and (very) worthwhile answer to my first newbie question yesterday. Here are a few more “sanity-check” questions for a comfort level before I click “buy” and dive into “X”. I realize many answers are apparently self-evident, but I’ve been surprised before.
Renew Homepage 01:
A) Can the navigation tabs (Home, Blog, Portfolio, Features, etc.) be renamed? Can any be deleted, added?
I’m assuming the “Hand with iPhone” image, that sweeps into place from right to left, can be replaced with any other type of image (i.e. world globe), scaled and keep/don’t keep the sweeping functionality. Correct?
Renew Blog 08: Will the choice of Blog 08 work with a choice of Homepage 01?
Renew Portfolio:
A) I’m assuming the “Portfolio” navigation tab could be renamed: for example, “What We Do”. Am I correct?
If so, could new dropdown choices be created, populated and named: for example, “Workshops”; “Tools” & “Analytics”?
C) Then, could those newly created dropdown choices link to three landing pages formatted as “Detail Gallery” pages?
D) If so, could each of the three “What We Do” landing pages (Workshops, Tools, Analytics) be revised with four tags renamed as “Pre-Sales”, “Sales Pursuit”, “Sales Closure” and “Post-Sales”?
E) Then, wiill I be able to create pages associated with those tags – pages using the “Portfolio-Item” page template – shown in Renew 01 (i.e. Riomaggiore)? For example, a cluster of Tools pages around Pre-Sales and Sales Pursuit. .
Renew Pages: “Pricing” – is it possible to not choose any of the available Pricing page options and, instead, construct a Pricing page from the Accordion Shortcode?

1) Yes, the menu items can be modified or deleted. You create your own menus within X, and those are simply examples. That particular image is one we created to show how a slider would work, so either way you would need to create your own images.
2) More or less. You could take the homepage demo content we provide for Renew 01 and then setup your blog (layout wise) to look like Renew 08.
3A) Yes (again with menus, you can set whatever items you want in a menu).
3C) Yes.
3D) Not following this part, please explain further.
3E) Really not following this part, I’m afraid
4) Renew Pricing – If you wanted to use the Accordion shortcode you can add whatever elements you want. Keep in mind that it will look like an Accordion and not a pricing table.
Keep in mind that just about anything is possible with the right customization. While we cannot provide customization support, you could definitely hire someone to bring all of this to life. Cheers!
