X is compatible to WooCommerce to the extent that we have taken the plugin and provided styling/integration into X (in our case there are 3 shop designs – one for each Stack we have) for all of the standard elements in the plugin: Shop, Checkout, Account Page, etc.

Beyond that, each customer is responsible for 3rd party integrations and customizations for additional functionality beyond the standard plugin. Let us know fi you need anything further, my friend!

Not at this time, and as we have communicated before they are not bugs with the theme but rather issues with the way VC has configured some of their front end options. We have sent all of our diagnostic information to VC, and it is up to them as to how they implement that given it is their plugin.

Your client will need to contact us separately if they are having issues logging in as your transaction ID can not be used to create more than one account in the member area. They will need to have their own transaction ID – which it sounds like they do from what you said above. You can definitely organize your blog by different categories the filter by those categories using something like our Recent Posts Shortcode.

1) Generally when people are importing demo content it is to a blank site. You may run into issues when importing the provided demo content to a site that already has content.

2) Visual Composer is integrated into the theme, and there is a little paragraph about that on our listing. Basically, we have customized the VC plugin to work with our own Shortcodes.

3) Performance has been and will always be a primary focus in the development of X. While we have done what we can do to optimize for performance (and are always looking for ways to improve), there are several user side things such as a caching plugin, CDNs, image compression, etc that can really help make a big difference. At the end of the day it’s a combination of well developed code, a good server infrastructure, and proper performance tweaks—a few of which were outlined above.

Is there a way to only import some demo content? I don’t want to over-write anything but I also think it would be very helpful for me to learn what the theme could do.

So about the speed, if I’m getting less than 3 seconds load time with the “Twenty Fourteen” theme, will I get around the same speed with X?

We provide home page demo content for each of our demos. You could try using that as it is only for one page.

Regarding speed, Twenty Fourteen is not nearly as feature rich as X, so we can’t make any guarantees or comparisons as there are too many moving parts and the products are vastly different. It would sort of be like asking if a Toyota Corolla and a Lexus LS would preform the same. They are both cars and made by the same company, but the specs and materials used to make each car is unique. What we can say is that we have optimized our code with performance in mind and when that is paired with user side configurations such as caching, compression, CDNs, etc you will be in good shape. Total media size on a page is also a contributing factor. For instance if you are self hosting tons of videos and high resolution images all on one page that can definitely slow down your site no matter what theme you are using.
