I have signed into theme documentation before, but when I tried today it said my Item Purchase Code had been registered with another account.
Hi There,
Feel free to contact us, and we can send over instructions for verifying your account.
Cheers!
Is this theme compatible with Event Espresso? Thanks
Hi There,
I haven’t heard of that particular plugin. X was developed to best practices so it should play nicely with well developed 3rd party plugins, however unless they are integrated into the theme in some way (Revolution Slider, Gravity forms, etc) we are unable to provide specific support for them. We are absolutely happy to provide support for our theme though, and this is all handled in our member area.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Hello, does your license allow to use the theme on two wordpress installations on the same domain? one at the root and one in a folder named ‘supplies’ for example? we have a public facing site about our non profit org and then a member area for ordering supplies for our members. i would really like to use the same theme so for members it looks seamless rather than have the supply shop a different theme. I dont think they will go for buying two licenses, so I want to ask before writing a proposal for our org to buy this theme. thanks
Sure, in that instance a single regular license would be fine. Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
that’s awesome! thanks for the super speedy response! looking forward to getting this theme. it’s going to make us look good, right now we dont look so good. lol
You’re most welcome! Looking forward to having you on board…Don’t forget to register for access to our member area once purchased for access to our forum (where all support is provided), video tutorials, knowledge base articles, demo content, and more. Cheers!
Hi, I’m back! quick question. I’d really like to see a feature to make full width menus that drop from the main menu which include images and anything else (whether inserted by widget or however). I dont think X has that feature but is that in the plans? and also, will X support using UberMenu plugin (i.e. any known conflicts?) thanks for your response. I’m interested to see if i need to keep looking past UberMenu as an option.
Hi There,
We have our own mega menu functionality however it is for displaying large amounts of links (not images/other content), and you can see examples of how they look for each Stack by visiting the 01 Demos of each Stack and hovering over some of the menu items. As such, we do not have integration with UberMenu due to our own functionality built into the theme. Customers are welcome to use 3rd party plugins on their own post purchase, we simply aren’t able to provide support for things that are not theme features or plugins that have been integrated into the theme (such as Revolution Slider, Gravity Forms, etc).
thanks for your prompt reply. yes of course, I understand the support issue. I guess after purchase of X theme and the UberMenu plugin I’ll see if they are compatible or not. just checking to see if any ‘known’ issues. thank you again.
You bet! I do not personally know of issues with the plugin however since it falls under the 3rd party plugin category (and because we have our own mega menu functionality built into X), we do not have plans to integrate UM into the theme.
Cheers!
Hi
I am happy with the x theme but i need the website to look like the homepage of the integrity demo 9 and i have added all the vc coding and all the customiser settings and it looks nothing like the demo and also at one point it looked similar but it vanished back to a previous version. The preview changes in the pages section looks completely different to the front end of the website. Also there is message on the home page in the pages section that says “Your page layout was created with previous Visual Composer version. Before converting your layout to the new version, make sure to read this page.” i then click on convert to new version and every time i update the page i have to convert it again.
Look forward to the rely.
Thanks

Aloha,
Loving the new Ethos version. Is X compatible with the new Jetpack related post feature?
Brett
Aloha Brett!
Many thanks for the kind words
Our policy related to 3rd party plugins is that unless they are integrated into the theme in some way (Revolution Slider, Gravity Forms, etc) then we are unable provide support for them. The implementation, customization, and troubleshooting of any issues that may arise are each customer’s responsibility. Technically speaking, since X was created according to development best practices, any well developed 3rd party plugin should play nicely with X, however due to the virtually limitless nature of things that can and often times do go wrong with software, we can’t support something that we have not first developed or integrated into the theme.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Is there a related post plugin that you’ve integrated into X?
Hi Brett,
Nothing specifically, however many customers have integrated this sort of functionality using 3rd party solutions.
HI,
What is the Latest Visual Composer version that is supported by Theme X?
Some themes work well with one version of VC and create so many issues. So wanted to know about it prior to making a purchase.
Hi There,
Thank-you for your purchase, my friend!
We actually have a knowledge base article related to this in our member area. If you haven’t registered for access yet, you can do so here. Once registered, you can access the article here.
Should you need anything further, a member of our development team will be happy to assist in the forums.
Cheers!
Hi,
Does the Ethos Theme have the capability of allowing for embeddded video?
Thanks, for the prompt response. I thought so but just wanted to make sure. Great work; it is a really slick, versatile template—clean and seemingly very intuitive tio navigate, which is frequently the problem with some WP templates that attempt to be all things to all people.
You’re most welcome…and thank-you!
Guys i am really impressed with the theme but i have a doubt about the subscription whether 60$ is the full year subscription or its monthly subscription. Please Clarify soon so i can go ahead.
Hi There,
Thank-you for the kind words
The $60 is a one-time cost. The only additional cost would be if you wanted to use X on multiple sites as the license is for a single use. So let’s say you had 3 sites that you wanted to use X on, then you would simply purchase 3 regular licenses.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Hello, am totally new to wp.
Pre-sale questions:
1) Do i need to worry about whether your theme is compatible with future WP upgrades?
Basically I want to be sure that if I purchase this theme, i will not be left hanging if Wordpress upgrades or modifies their configuration in the future.
2) with the boxed layout, can I put still images all around the top-bottom-left-right of the box? So the text will go inside the box, and then I put still images all around the outside perimeter of the box.
3) I have a main website that I want to upgrade using this theme. But i am worried about changing anything to the existing site until I know for sure this is the theme I want to use.
Can I purchase this theme and test it on an inactive domain I own, and when I feel comfortable with all the functions, I then use this theme officially on my main website, is this possible?
4) After I have purchased this theme, can I hire a programmer to do customization work for me or is the code proprietary that can only be modified by the developer?
Many thanks in advance.
Hi There,
1) X will always be kept working with the latest version of WordPress.
2) Anything is possible with customizations, however the best way to see what is possible is to check out our demos. While we are happy to provide theme support, we are unable to provide support for 3rd party plugins or customizations.
3) Yes.
4) Of course. Any developer who knows WordPress (php, css, etc) will be able to customize X.
WOW, thank you so much for the prompt response. I asked the same questions on another theme and it’s been 2 days already still haven’t heard back from them, SUPPORT is super important to me so hearing back from you so fast makes it easy for me to make my decision. Thank you.
You’re most welcome
Just wrote a quick tutorial on how to add custom Visual Composer elements: http://www.jonahcoyote.com/custom-visual-composer-elements-x-theme/
It requires a small hack and it would be great if you guys added a hook in /wp-content/themes/x/framework/functions/global/admin/visual-composer.php to be able to add custom elements.
Thanks and enjoy! - Jonah
Hey Jonah,
Thanks for writing in and for sharing your tutorial that you’ve written! We always love to see how people are using X in exciting and creative ways.
After going through your article, it seems that what you’re trying to accomplish could easily be accomplished with Visual Composers Shortcode Mapper, which was added in v4.1.0 of the plugin and allows you to add custom elements without needing to modify any code. This would be a preferred method for users to take advantage of as it keeps the original code base clean and free from potential errors while hooking in new code. If you haven’t had a chance to check this new feature out in the plugin, take a moment to review the content at the link I’ve provided above and let us know if that happens to provide you with what you’re after. If not, we can certainly look into what we can do to accommodate such a request moving forward.
Thanks!
Hey THEMECO,
Thanks for the reply. I have seen the Shortcode Mapper but it’s pretty limited as to what information you can populate in a custom shortcode. For instance, in my example I’m dynamically populating a dropdown in the shortcode with posts from a custom post type. There’s no way to do this with the Shortcode Mapper at the moment unfortunately, I’ve tried it and I’ve also checked in with the Visual Composer devs on this.
So, it’d be great if you could still look in to incorporating a hook of sorts to accommodate this sort of things.
Many thanks, Jonah
Thanks for the feedback, Jonah. We’ll certainly see what we can do in a coming release!
I have a question about licensing. I have an e commerce site in which i sell my own brand of product. I have like 12 items. Will a regular license be enough?
Yes sir!
Hey guys, first off, I need to compliment you for this excellent theme. I bought another one which – in combination with Revolution Slider – didn’t do a good job in terms of responsive design and everything was kinda messy. So far I had no problem with X regarding this.
I have a few questions though: 1) How can I make the background of my menu in the header transparent? If a certain CSS code is necessary, could you tell me which one?
2) When I change fonts in the Customizer, they don’t change on the live website. The only place it worked so far is the logo (which I don’t use).
Thanks in advance for your help
Hi There,
Thank-you for the kind words!
Just so you know, all support if provided in our member area. If you haven’t had a chance to register for access yet, you can do so here.
Specific to your questions:
1) The background transparency option is only available when using the Integrity Stack as that is one of its unique design features. When Integrity is activated go to the Customizer and go to Integrity > Design Options then check the box for Enable Navbar Transparency.
2) Check out this article, then if you need anything further feel free to open a new thread in the forum, and a member of our development team will be happy to assist. In the interim, be sure to use the search feature in the forum as there thousands and thousands of answered questions covering virtually every aspect of the theme.
Cheers, my friend!
Thanks for your quick reply
I will take a look at the forum
You bet!
Is it possible to add a members area within this theme. So a user pays for membership which allows them access to a members only section of the website where I can upload exclusive videos and info and possibly a forum?
I also need splash pages. So i’ll advertise on say, facebook, the link will take them to an email capture page in which they will get something free if they enter their email.
These are the essentials I need, if it can do it I’m buying asap!
I believe splash page is simple enough, maybe use a plug-in.
Hi There,
Yes, you can integrated a membership plugin with X (there is no integrated membership functionality as that is far beyond the scope of a theme). There is a Protect Content Shortcode that you can read about that would help with password protecting certain pieces of content.
We also provide several blank templates for creating any sort of page, and you can read about them here.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Hello Themeco,
I am a professional web developer. I usually roll my own plugins and themes. I am new to Wordpress but have been asked to put together a site and see this as a quick way of setting up a basic template to tweak. I have a couple of questions:
1) Will it be possible to save backend configuration to source control so I can add it to my deployment mechanism?
2) Is it difficult for me to write my own custom stack? I assume there is an internal X API I might be able to learn from the current stacks? Do you provide any documentation on this?
3) I would appreciate looking at the documentation for the product to determine if it would be a good fit before I make a purchase but it seems I have to buy the theme first. Is there a link or a PDF you might be able to send me to the full documentation instead of the marketing info?
Best Regards, Rickard
Hey Rickard,
Thanks for writing in! Allow me to run through your points one by one for you:
- All of WordPress’ administrative settings are stored in a database. This includes everything from plugins, to the Customizer, to simple pages and posts that you add to your website. In this sense, there really isn’t a way to include these items with any sort of version control system as they are stored separately from the functionality and styling of these elements. If you’re referencing WordPress’ wp-config.php file, then this should be easy enough to include with version control as long as you include the entire directory you’re working in for your site along with all of the core WordPress files since this is located at the root of your site.
- You can certainly create your own Stack if you’d like, but since you’re seemingly using X as more of a starting point to get your project rolling and you’ve stated you don’t have much experience with WordPress, it is probably going to be best to simply modify an existing Stack that is close to what you’re wanting to do. X outputs various Views for the different Stacks, and we have documentation on how this works, the methods that are used to call these Views, and how you can modify or create your own Views if needed in the Knowledge Base of our member area.
- You are correct in that purchasing the product is necessary to access the documentation for X. The PDF included with your initial download is a simple document to get things up and running, but we strongly recommend that all of our users sign up for access to our member area as that is where all official support is handled should you need it, and it is also where we include our more extensive resources such as the Knowledge Base, training materials, child themes, demo content, and more. If you contact us, we can send you over a example of our PDF documentation.
Thanks for your interest in X and have a great day!
Hi there, just short question’ I would like to create a website with the theme which integrates a little online shop as well. I would like the shop website to be an independent part from the main website. I thought I might install it on a subdomain. e.g. “www.client.com” and “www.shop/client.com”. My question: do I need to buy the theme twice? Or is there a better way? Please advise. Best regards, Chris
Hi Chris,
You wouldn’t need to purchase the theme twice as the shop can be installed in a separate directory such as mysite.com/shop
If you wanted to sue X on more than one domain, then you would need to purchase an additional license.
If you need any help with setting up the shop within X, there is a knowledge base article in our member area here (must be logged in).
If you haven’t done so already, you can register here. Should you need anything further, one of our developers will be happy to assist in the forum.
Cheers!
Is it possible Navbar Position Fixed Bottom on integrity. If yes how? f not what would you suggest.
example site: http://www.themacallan.com/
I purchased this theme and registered my code but it won’t allow me to login to the support area using the generated password from your end and my username upon signing-up to register. Pls help. Thanks!
Hi There,
Please send us an email, and we can send over instructions for verifying your account.
Cheers!
I already sent you an email minutes after posting here. Looking forward to your response.
Hi There,
We replied several hours ago. Did you not receive it? Is your name Matt?
Got it. Was able to get in. Thanks.
You’re most welcome
Hi,
Congratulations for your theme which look awesome. So many possibility can be overwhelming sometimes
I was about to buy another theme for my company website (This one: http://themeforest.net/item/grizzly-responsive-app-showcase-corporate/1546240) and I wanted to ask you a question before buying it > Pre-sale question
The thing I particularly like about this theme, is the app showcase. If I have 2 or 5 apps I can do 1 page per app to present/showcase them in a very nice way. Example: http://awesomescreenshot.com/01137qfhb2 . This would allow me to showcase iOS or Android App easily in beautiful way.
Is there a (easy) way to do the same (if not better) with X ?
Thanks for your time.
Best, D.
Hi D,
You can certainly create a one page site using any of our Stacks built into X, and we put together one page examples for each Stack on the 02 Demos for each Stack: here (Integrity), here (Renew), here (Icon), and here (Ethos).
Thanks for your fast answer. Don’t know if you checked the other theme but this is not a 1 page theme. On the contrary, the idea is to have a site with multiple pages BUT a page per app as a showcase. To put it differently, It’s a website with multiple “one page site” as pages.
Does that make sense? Can I have the same design with a button “available on ios” and Android etc..?
Thanks D.
You bet!
Yes, you can mix and match one page “sites” like the examples I sent with standard multi-paged sites. So for instance any of those demos I linked to could be single pages on your broader site.
There are multiple button styles you can select from, and you can learn more about them here.
Beyond that, the demos give the best example of what is possible out of the box with X then of course you are free to customized as need post-purchase based on your needs.
Ok Thanks
Last question: I guess there is no feature when you add an image and it goes directly in a placeholder like an iPhone, iPad, or Nexus 5?
Surely
No, there is not a feature for setting up graphics automatically like that, however it would be very easy to upload a graphic of a iPhone, iPad, etc manually.
Ok thanks!
My pleasure!
