1) are the BLANK pages only available under INTEGRITY ? can i have blank pages option under ETHOS? http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/pages/blank/2) Can this page be built using Filter also ? similar to the portfolio filter ? so that I can have a filter for human resources staff, a filter for accounting staff, marketing staff etc etc

The blank templates can be used across all Stacks!
The filter is only for the portfolio, however you can have multiple portfolios, so you could filter anything that is using the portfolio functionality.

Thanks. If I would like a filter for a company’s STAFF page so that it works like the portfolio filter, will most programmers be able to help me customize one using your theme? I like everything about Ethos, the only missing piece is the Filter for the company staff page. It is a large company with many employees and I need a filter to sort by departments such as accounting, marketing, IT etc etc.

Yes, a portfolio can be used for any number of things (such as you described). If filtering content is necessary, the portfolio is the place to do that 
And yes, any developer familiar with PHP and CSS (and of course WordPress) will be able to assist with modifications. The code is clean and well organized.
Thank you. Am ready to pull the trigger, just want to double check on a couple things.
1) Is it true that I can purchase the license, test it out on www.domain1.com (live but no contents right now) and when I feel comfortable with all the features etc, I then officially use the license for my active site, for example www.domain2.com ? I will not have to purchase 2 licenses for this as long as in the end I only use your theme on 1 domain? Just want to be sure.
2) Also, do I have the option to have tile layout for Ethos’ home page? I really like the header above the menu on Ethos home page, but prefer the rest of the page to be tiled rather than linear.

1) This would be fine as long as the theme is used on one domain. It is normal for people to work on a production environment before pushing it live to their site.

Great. My active domain has a lot of existing pages, so i am nervous I will corrupt or mess up all the existing pages on my active domain while testing your theme. Therefore I want to test your theme on another domain that has no contents right now, and when I feel comfortable using all the features of your theme, then I use your theme officially on my active domain. Yes, the theme will be used on 1 domain only at any given time. Glad i do not need to purchase 2 licenses for that.
As for my 2nd question. In Ethos main demo, the area BELOW the slider where you have all the blog posts showing up vertically one on top of the other, I wonder instead of having the blog posts vertically aligned one on top of the other, can I have the blog posts appear in a grid like side by side .
Just to clarify my 2nd question, for example, right now you have the blog post “MENS FASHION 101” aligned vertically underneath the blog post “POST A COMPELLING QUESTION HERE”, I wonder if I have the option to have these two blog posts appear side by side rather than vertically .

There is a standard and masonry option available for both the blog and portfolio. You can see how the masonry blog looks on this Integrity demo (you can use the masonry option for all Stacks), so that would be another option for you.

This theme just continues to blow my mind. Its like the Holy Grail of Wordpress themes because it has solid customizable features and for those of us that like to tinker with the code a little, it provides enough access to do so. I just can’t believe this theme didn’t exist years ago!! I have stopped developing on Drupal and Joomla for the most part and openly embraced Wordpress CMS primarily because of this theme.
The only thing that could make it better and this is stretching to find something is the ability to control the page layout more so outside of the pre-defined layouts provided with the theme.

I stand correct!!! THEMECO answered my prayers with the “Sky Is The Limit” option for layout. This is my permanent favorite theme and I will recommend it to anyone I work with on their website.

1- Several questions, i don’t find were to uploads the demo customizer, i don’t see customizer > import
2- i need a megamenu on top and a dropdown menu on left, but i don’t see how to do it, as i have to choose if have the nav on top or left or right so i think to have the nav on right, and ubermenu on top, but in this case i need to create a widget area on top, but i don’t know how here …
3- i’m used to write my css by hand, and i’m faster like that (specially for typo, than actionning all the options) so if i take a child theme and write in the style.css, will they overwite the customizer

ok, but can i integrate ubermenu ?, i absolutely need the images in the megamenu, so i know for ex with genesis i paste the php code in a php widget
Customers are welcome to extend the theme with 3rd party plugins, however we are not able to support this, especially in a case like this where we have our own integrated megamenu functionality built into the theme.
ok, but it will be nice if in future version you integrate the possibility to add images, as it is a common demand in megamenus

If you are building client sites, you would simply purchase a unique regular license for each unique domain. So if you had 3 clients whose sites you were going to use X on, you would simply purchase 3 regular licenses.

Hi, presales questions, normally i develop my own themes with the genesis framework, and i like to code almost my css by hand, since a year a don’t use themes no more, but this one is very interesting when i want to go fast! i wanted to know if i have to create a child theme, and so write my css (or scss) or it work differently than other themes. Can i really use it as a framework, to do anything i want ? i had a look at the code, is it build on bs3 ?
2° question, i work with a seo, and for exemple is it always possible to add the alt and title attribute in the shortcodes (i was working with visual composer on a site, and on the single widget image, there was no possibility to had the title attribute, but the support told how tweak it) In other words, can it be a good theme for developpers (but not very good at php for the moment:-))

X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. In some ways you can use it as a framework, but you’ll find that most of what you need is readily available via our Stacks. The underlying CSS is heavily modified Bootstrap 2.3. We made changes to make the markup more semantic, and added SEO optimizations. You can add the title or alt text through the short codes when the element supports it. For an example, you can review the image short code reference here.

You can have a video in your portfolio as seen here. There is not a like button or counter as that is typically provided by the video host of choice.
You had mentioned self hosted videos, and you can definitely self host videos using our integrated video player as you can see here.

1. Purchasing X Standard License – 1 time use [self or client] – Once the theme is purchased and used, do you have to download the product again for the next license or do you just purchase another license?
2. I’ve not seen any discussion regarding any other eCommerce than Woo Commerce. Do you have or are you going to have in the future plugin’s for: Photoshelter, SmugMug, Storenvy, Etsy?

2) We decided to focus exclusively on WooCommerce for our integrated eCommerce solution, however customers are welcome to integrate any other 3rd party solution they may need post purchase.

I am an absolute newb at Wordpress and purchased X theme with the hope that I could replicate one of your beautifully designed websites with little technical know how.
I followed the basic set up tutorials and chose a stack and imported the demo content in to the theme. After adding the page templates to classic mode and then changing into Visual Composer to try and edit, I am met with this message “The layout you are trying to use on this page does not conform to Visual Composer’s layout guidelines. For more information on this situation and how to avoid this error going forward, please see our Knowledge Base article in the X Member Area.”
I have read the linked article and it seems that it may not be compatible when added to the classic mode and changing into Visual Composer so I tried adding the templates copy and pasted into ‘Add element’ Text section which seemed really clunky and only half worked.
Are the page templates not available with Visual Composer, as this will be very disappointing as it will mean I am not able to recreate the designed pages which was the selling point for me getting X or am I not entering the .txt file to Visual Composer correctly?

There is some confusion on how Visual Composer works as you can use page templates, and we provide VC specific page templates in our member area. If you are having any trouble getting them to work, a member of our development team will be happy to help in the forum. We are looking to buy this theme but the payload of all the files are pretty high (something like 2,7mb) just to load the frontpage for the Woocommerce shopping site (just tested Integrity). Is there a way to compress this so the payload is much less?

The theme files themselves are well within the range of standard theme files/resources. Demos frequently include a lot of extra resources to show the full range of options and features, however from an actual resource usage point of view, page loads are handled in the most performant manner possible. For example, certain scripts only get loaded when a shortcode exists on your page. While other themes will load all scripts into the theme, this method keeps things streamlined. Additionally, things like custom Google Fonts are loaded dynamically, meaning that only what you plan on using is loaded into the theme, keeping it free of bloat. These are just a couple examples, however the entire development of the theme was created with this sort of attention to detail (and we’re always on the lookout for ways to improve upon the already strong foundation).
We also provide a tutorial in our member area about some of the many user side configurations people can do to their own sites post purchase (caching plugins, image compression, etc – things not related to the theme but rather individual content on the page).
