I am interested in Community Junction Wordpress Theme. I would like to ask if it is possible to classify subjects (hobbies like diving, swimming etc. for example) and then classify the subjects in the order of Hobby clubs (For example california diving club, new york diving club etc.)
I see the group names are hobby names but it would be more appropriate for me to classify the clubs in these hobby names (subjects). Is it possible to do this with this subject ?

Your groups have “home”, “forum” and “member” buttons. If subgroups had these specifications, it would be better for people to communicate in their subgroup or group. I think this plugin can not supply it for subgroups.
People communicate in the subgroup.
Do you mean there is forum and member areas in this plugin ? I couldn’t understand what you mean ?
No, it just changes core of Buddypress.
So, what is the communication ? How can people communicate ?
Subgroups have own forum. You can install this plugin with a default WP theme and you will see how it works.

Hi great theme wish the theme option had more option.
Question: how do i change the url for the custom menu items with images. for example groups for some reason is pointing to /group-2 i need to change it to /groups where do i find this option.
I hope and upgrade for theme option is coming this will help reduce the amour of questions on such a great theme.

You duplicated Groups page. Slug you can change below title.

Curious if there is a way to segment / separate top level groups to different pages. So lets say I have parent group 1 with 150 different subgroups and parent group 2 with 150 subgroups, I want to create a page that displays all subgroups of parent group 1 and then another page that displays all subgroups of parent group 2. Is this even possible?

This completely breaks the template of the site when I try to use this plugin to display the “group tree hierarchy”...... This is like a foreign language to me. Why is this so complicated to do????
My theme displays groups in grid view, so it has totally different HTML structure, that’s why this plugin won’t work with any premium theme.

Loop with blogs you have in blogs/blogs-loop.php file, you can rotate content using this slider – http://codecanyon.net/item/jquery-responsive-onebyone-slider-plugin/684613 but there will be 1-3 hours of work so I can’t help you in this case.

hi, i Bought the community junction a social network. i have a Designer to Change and modify the site. She says the site got only format and structure! so she added a lot of pages inside and created profile system and everything else. she says that was just a template setup and she just made the format to the default format as it is supposed to be!
she says there was no bbpress, no forum nothing with a new template now it’s all functional with the communication abilit,
so i say it Was all Build in already when i Bought the site! the forum, about activity, blog, group. Etc.
she says do you think it’s all same when you buy that. you need to setup everything. that’s just to show what you can create with that template. So from what I understand she need to create Everything on the template? she says the template is with that ability. you still need to make all of them inside it.
or the site is all ready and got the ability to work as community junction a social network the moment I bought it?

If you install my theme (+ Buddypress, bbpress plugins) you have full working social network in 5 minutes. Just read theme documentation.

Good morning my name is Ricardo Triana, I´m a front end developer and web/mobile designer. Im looking to purchase a template for my startup company. What Im looking for is:
-User registration/sign up -User can edit their profile (avatar image and data) and publish. Profile can be viewed by all registered and not registered users. -User geolocation. Can user have a geolocation option when creating profeile. -Advanced search app -Responsive and extremely mobile friendly -Chat aplication or some kind of comment aplication so users can interact in a private/public manner. -User can create a post/page with custom fields, and will only be published after admin authorization. This post/page can be tagged so that it can be easily found by a user when using this tags as search filters. -User can create and share a post/page with custom fields that will only be viewed by certain users. User should be able to associate this post/page with a certain user that is registered in the site.
I know these might look like a bit too much, but it is my best option, i need some kind of minimum viable product to be online in a few weeks, that is why Im taking the template option as my last resource. And I know that some of these functionalities can be achieved with plugins and son on. But Id really like to know if plugins can be installed without any trouble and that your template will be able to install these plugins with no conflict.

I noticed that after logging in, nothing happens, the home page remains the same. When I navigate to another page, things work well but as soon as I click on the “Home” menu button, the page displays as if I’m logged out. I noticed all these after the theme upgrade. Help please.

I can see a custom registration form in demo. I wanted to know if we can add a dropdown to select appropriate buddy press group and then register and be a part of that group by default.

It’s not a theme-related question. Buddypress offers many custom fields but user can join group after registration. Unfortunately I don’t offer any services.
