Yes we will consider that and it has been brought up before so other users have asked for it (woo catalogue mode).
For the headers/menu, we have something we are planning for the future that will be awesome 
That one is coming for sure, although we cannot give an ETA for that.

hello, i bought avada , created page and now thinking about some adjustment. what would you recommend to use for filterable gallery (which plugin fits to best to your templates, if it is not possible do it directly via avada). also i would like to have the same for articles for different topisc. i would like to use some filter (may be via portfolio? ) thank you very much for recommendation. br, zuzka

You could use our portfolio for a filterable gallery. If not, check out NextGen Gallery, I think that includes filters.
I’m not sure about all blog posts though, we’ve not used a filterable plugin for posts, only our own portfolio posts. But I’m sure there are some good plugin out there to do that. I found this one with a google search, https://wordpress.org/plugins/search-filter/

1) Is your theme future proof and forward compatible with new Wordpress development? I was told some themes may break with new Wordpress updates. I don’t want to create a massive amount of contents and then later on find out that all my contents are affected because of some Wordpress updates. And I end up having to spend money getting my programmer to make all my contents compatible with the new Wordpress updates.
2) Also, are the shortcodes and widgets in Avada created in separate plug ins that are portable to another theme or they are designed only for use with Avada?
My programmer advises that I choose a theme that allows me the option to port massive amount of shortcode-driven content to a new theme in the future if necessary.
3) is Avada considered a theme, a framework or something in between? Do I have the option to create my site using a child theme within Avada? I don’t know what exactly that means, but it seems that most people recommend building a site using a child theme so that it will not be affected by future updates to Wordpress??? Is that option available in Avada?

1. This is not something anyone can guarantee, because code changes and WP changes. However, what we can guarantee is that we plan for new WP releases. So if something needs to be changed in WP for our theme to work, we make sure to take care of it and issue a theme update.
2. Yes they are inside of our Fusion Core plugin.
3. Avada is a theme, but we use our own framework to build and maintain it. Yes you can use a child theme, we include one with the main package you buy. Child themes are used for those who wish to change/customize the main code, you can do that with a child theme and still update the parent theme without losing your edits.

Thanks. Two more questions along the same topic
1) Open source – Is your code considered open source? Say if one day, for whatever reason, say you no longer support Avada (hypothetically), can I hire any experienced programmer out there to pick up where you leave behind and continue to support me with Avada without you?
2) Porting my contents – I am in the process of migrating my site’s contents to a new platform and it is a huge headache to say the least, I really don’t want to have to subject myself to finding a new theme every 2-3 years and worry about not being able to port my contents to the new platform.
So my question is whether my contents will be portable to another theme or another platform once I start using Avada

1. At any point you can hire a developer to change or modify our code. Open source means its free, you do need to purchase a copy of Avada. But once you purchase it, you are free to modify as you wish
2. Yes it can be, but this is hard to answer or guarantee because each theme is setup differently. We pout all our features into a plugin “fusion-core” so that you can take them with you, however it does not guarantee that a switch to a new theme i seamless, there are too many factors that are involved.

I have read about and I am concerned about reports of loss of data or data display when changing from Avada to another theme. If the reports are true would using the Avada child theme reduce or eliminate the issues?

Where have you seen that at? That is not true, any theme can switch from theme to theme, however each theme can setup things differently, like portfolio posts for example. The content is not lost, but you may need to move it over into the other themes post format. But that is true for any theme you use, not only Avada.

I managed to align the header-v4 to center, but since the new avada has come up I cannot find this part of the editable code within the “header.php”
Please advise as its becoming very annoying now!

From what I know, nothing has changed with that portion of the code. Please post on our forum so our developers can answer that for you.
When we update the theme, it is always for improvement. Sometimes code will need to change, unfortunately we cannot plan for user customizations, if we did then nothing would be able to change. 99% of the time it is not an issue, but we’ve been doing a lot to improve our code and overall theme.

Question about the different demo contents you have.
Can i pick and choose the different options/features that I like from the various demo contents you have and form my own unique site?
Reason I asked is because I purchased another theme and I didn’t realize that each demo stands on its own, meaning some features that are available in for example demo 1 cannot be used for demo 2, So if I want the look of demo 1, I am stuck with all the features that come with demo 1, and I need to give up demo 1 entirely if I want to use features that are available in demo 2.
You have a lot of demo contents, wonder if I can cherry pick from all the features and options that I see in all your demo contents when I build my own using Avada.

Sure you can do that. Each demo page that was built using shortcodes are just pre-built pages to get you started, you can use them all, only some or none at all and build your own. The choice is yours!

Some per-purchase question: 1. Can I have a slider with embedded YouTube video and an opt-in simple form next to it ( just name and email)?
2. Can I have Image as well as video slider like above. (like flex Slider can have a YT video). Say 3 images and 1 video slider and it stops at the last slider that is the video slider.

It looks like someone logged into my site already and did something… but he/she didn’t really solve the whole problem.. he/she only solve like half.. lol
anyway… I am having another issue… but since you guys are very active in this comment section… then I will ask it here..
How come AVADA – the most famous themeforest theme does not have a lot of sidebar widgets?
Like: sidebar video widget
login sidebar widget
social sidebar widget
ads sidebar widget
the worst part is that the widgets both sidebar and main… are not enclosed in some good text-box with shadow effect or round corners and etc…
the only Avada widget that looks good is the sidebar tab widget… can you guys a little bit more please? or better yet.. because I cannot wait anymore… please suggest a plugin that can do this?

There is not a need for some of those.
Sidebar video widget – simply sue the text widget and add a youtube or vimeo shortcode.
Login sidebar widget – logging into what? Any plugin that uses something liek that has a login widget, like bbPress.
Social sidebar widget – yeah we have this already http://d.pr/i/Gl3Y
Ads sidebar widget – and we have this: http://d.pr/i/EM9n However, ads can also be placed in a regular text widget. Think of the text widget as being versatile, it can take just about anything you throw at it, including custom code. our ad widget is for a certain size, but most users with ads have specific needs and use the TEXT widget or a widget from a 3rd party ad plugin.
The comment about styles (shadows) is simply a design decision. That would not go with the rest of our design. however, feel free to customize it anyway you like, you can easily achieve that with custom css.
So every one you listed can already be done, no need for a plugin. Styles on the other hand can be done, but you need to style them on your end.
