Can this theme accomplish the off canvas layout as described here:http://jasonweaver.name/lab/offcanvas/
Hi There,
It would take some customization on your part to achieve that particular layout. The best way to see what is possible layout wise out of the box would be to check out our demos.
Let us know if you have any further questions on features in X, and we’ll be happy to assist.
Cheers!
Hi, how are you?
We’d be glad to purchase the theme in the event you can assure me it works with languages like Portuguese, Spanish, French and even Russian. We had the opportunity to play with this theme using the English language on a friend’s server, and when trying to use words from other languages like those I mention, we had problems displaying the characters on some specific parts of the theme, as accented words and ‘special characters’ would not be stored correctly in the database.
It is important to mention that the database is using UTF8mb4, and the MySQL server is default to UTF8mb4 as well, PHP is configured as UTF-8 compliant, and everything is properly setup. Everything works fine in the WordPress itself when it is with the theme deactivated, but when we activate it and, for example, try to load some parts of theme with special characters inserted on it, the words with accents are displayed correctly. Thereafter, I suppose it may be an issue with character encoding on the theme, as WordPress and other applications alone works fine without these issues.
Again, most of it works absolutely fine and correctly…
And it is a great theme for sure!
You did a great job!
What may be going on? How hard would it be to fix it? Any advice on it please? Could you please share some comments on this regard in a manner we can purchase and use the theme?
As a side note, I’ve found these other great articles, which may be of some help on further development of this theme as well other projects you may run:

Hi There,
Thanks for the kind words
X is compatible with WPML for translations, and we provide a base .po file for our customers to use to translate to the language of their choice. This is the responsibility of each individual customer as we simply provide the base .po language file.
We do also provide RTL (right to left) support built in.
Beyond that, all theme support is provided in our member forum to verified purchasers.
Cheers!
Hello, thanks for your feedback!
It seems that it was tested with pretty common fonts to the languages it was facing it: Arial, Verdana… However, I’m not referring to translating the theme, but issues with character encodings. I mean characters like these bellow not showing correctly on some parts:
á, é, î, õ, ç
It does work for sure as far as I’m aware of. Since I couldn’t test it myself, I can’t tell you what was the specific portion that showed up the double-encoded and/or useless data, probably due to multibyte characters. I’ll need to ask the employee who tested it and provide you a feedback about it, to the exact point that matters – That be, where the issue is going on.
It is important to mention that, as I’m aware of, most of the things did work absolutely fine. But there was something specific that had an issue with characters. I’ll need to check what it was. In any way, those articles seems a good reference on some good practices to make all the ‘stuff’ welcome to the vast majority of the languages.
Additionally, I’d be glad to answer anything you may want to ask in a manner we test it in a better manner.
I’ll get back to you up to Saturday with more details. In this while, if I can help on something, please let me know it.
If you have some idea on what may be going on I’d welcome some advices…
Thank you pretty much fellow,
Pre-Sales question: I have a client who wants an image slider below the header of the (blog) home page that show the images from last 5 (or some other number) of blog posts. Is this possible to create without having to manually select the images and rotate one out and the new one in each time there’s a new post?
Hi Marty,
Yes, this is possible using our Recent Posts Shortcode.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
I looked at that short code and it appears to place the x most recent posts in the location of the shortcode. What I am looking for is a way to create an image slider that will display the x most recent featured images as a slider at the top of the blog page. Is that possible?
That particular functionality would require some customizations on your part as the Recent Posts Shortcode is the closest option out of the box.
Hi.
The theme looks great and really flexible. Before I go ahead with a purchase, a couple of quick questions:
What is the status with the slider revolution issue: http://marketblog.envato.com/general/plugin-vulnerability/
Do you think I could build something similar to this with X www.room11.com.au ? I.e. clean, minimal, project-based portfolio site, multiple pages, responsive etc.
thanks! Susie
Hi Susie,
Thanks for the kind words!
We have included the patched version of Revolution Slider for nearly 6 months now (basically since it was released).
Yes, that is a fairly standard layout that could be recreated in X. Check out this demo as just one example.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Hi, how can I set the background image to scroll with the content instead of staying fixed?
Hi, pre-sale question here
Is it possible to use X to build a similar layout to the one bellow (with a small slider on the right, instead of a full width slider)?
http://goo.gl/QJfLgIThank you
Hi There,
That is a fairly standard layout, so nothing too tricky however to see the best example of what is possible out of the box, the demos give the best indication. Anything is possible with the right customizations
Let us know if you have any further questions on specific features in X, and we’ll be happy to assist.
Cheers!
Hi,
This looks like a great theme!
I think that this will be suitable for my purposes but I need to ask a few noobie questions before going forward.
I would really like a hoempage slideshow, but with 3 buttons positioned on the slides that remain fixed whilst the slide changes… Is this possible?
I would also like to display a series of client logos on the homepage, is this possible?
I am sure both of these are quite straightforward, but just checking that I can get support to impliment these into your theme?
Many thanks Tom
Hi Tom,
Thank-you for the kind words!
1) Revolution Slider doesn’t have a way to keep the same button overlays while the slides change underneath, but you could duplicate the slides to keep the same button positioning. If your slideshow was a video, you could make one slide on a transparent slider, and use the “optional background video” field. This would allow the video to play underneath, while the buttons stay fixed. This is more of a Revolution Slider question though as we simply integrate the plugin as an option to our customers.
2) Adding logos across the home page can easily be done by using the Image Shortcode inside of Columns. Our Integrtity 3 Demo is a great example of this. Scroll down to “We Do Branding, Too” to see it in action.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Why can’t I get the sidebars to populate for WooCommerce? I checked customization options, I changed the template to content left, sidebar right and I can’t get sidebars to show up at all.
When I installed the theme and the woocommerce plugin, I seem to have missed the option “install woocommerce pages”. I don’t have any shop pages now, is there any place where I can install the woocommerce pages after installation? Or should I follow a tutorial to make a shop page, add products to my pages, set up checkout, etc?
Hi There,
One of our developers would be happy to assist in our forum. If you haven’t registered for access yet, you can do so here.
Be sure to check out this video first in the mean time (one registered).
Cheers!
Hi there, thank you for the fantastic work on this theme. I have 2 questions.
1) I have set my Portfolio images to link to an Attachment page.. how do I make them their natural size instead of 300px on that attachment page?
2) I can’t get my portfolios to display more than 3 thumbnails wide no matter how I set the width in the settings, How can I force the thumbnails to populate the fullwidth? You can see what I mean on http://www.vizmill.com/portfolio/product-visualisation/
Again, thanks for the awesome theme.
We use integrity and gallery for the items on the portfolio page. But the arrows to toggle at the top left of the images aren’t showing. We just see a white square. You are able to toggle tough between the images but showing the arrows would be more clear to our visitors.
I am using the WPML plugin with your theme. We want to use the language switcher but it’s not appearing in the menu bar. Can you help us out here?
Hi I’m after a new theme I think as my current woocommerce theme isn’t compatible with visual composer and I want to make it unique with this new design I’ve come up with so I think I’m going to have to find a alternative theme.
I’m not seeing the images working for the any of the shops in the demos, why is this?
Also with the theme using a page builder, I’ve heard this bloats themes and makes them a little sluggish. Is X fast even with the use of complex page building and shortcode options, is basically what I’m asking.
Kindest Regards
Hi There,
All of our shop demo images are showing to me, and we haven’t received any other reports of this. What are the links you are visiting where the images are not showing?
We have integrated a customized version of Visual Composer for our customers to use (optionally) when using X. We have streamlined the integration to be both lightweight and highly functional, and performance has and always will be foundational to all development within X.
Cheers!
Hello! I’m curious how you made the tabs here? http://theme.co/x/#commerce
Source appears to say something about flexslider..
I don’t see them in any of the demos.
Hi There,
We have integrated Flexslider for use in our Responsive Slider for example, however that specific functionality was custom created for that page.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Hi!
Tell please, how i can turn off (or delete) Header widget areas? plus in upper right corner
Hello! Do you have a list of recommended freelancers to help purchasers customize this theme? I absolutely love it, but I have a business to run and can’t possibly find the time to customize it myself! Thank you.
Hi There,
I’m afraid we do not at this time. We are looking into possibly offering these services to our customers in the future though.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Hello, If i switch from a competitor theme using visual composer, will the page layouts made with visual composer stay in place (when using your theme).
Thanks
Hi There,
Most themes have their own unique way of utilizing VC, so by switching from another theme, you may need to rebuild any pages that were made under that theme. X also has several unique features that it adds to VC, so to use those, you’d need to modify your pages as well. Overall, there is some editing you’ll need to do to make things compatible. We’re right at your side though, and aid you by providing demo content, in-depth idea tutorials, and top notch support.
Let us know if you need anything further, my friend!
Hi, Thanks for the reply. That is too bad. I have hundreds of pages with visual composer, it would take a long time to convert it to your “unique version” of visual composer. It is too bad.
One of the things what is so nice about visual composer, that with switching themes most of your blog set ups stay in place.
One more thing. Do you have a link to a blank page what is not standard loaded with all the scripts . Pagespeed and load times are just average with your theme, even when trying a blank page.
You’re welcome…
VC was created to be customized on a theme by theme basis, and for our customers, we have integrated it to allow them an easy way to use our Shortcodes to build drag/drop layouts.
X was built according to development best practices, and we receive comments often from users about the performance of their sites when using X – many of which you can find in our comment such as this. Our 2.2.0 release also saw significant performance boosts which you can read more about here.
Performance is a key factor in all of our development, and we are always looking for ways to further improve upon the solid foundation already built into X. While there are many performance “checkers” out there, keep in mind that many of the fine tuning as it relates to performance is done on the users end once the theme is purchased using tools such as browser caching, CDNs, image optimization, etc.
No need to give me a lesson in page speed. I can assure you i am extremely experienced in this field.
SO you do not have a link to a blank page (no header, no footer) inside the theme, what should be no more than 263kb—350kb size and load under .96
If you, the developer, are unable to “fine tune it” on your demo site than how does a potential customer know what the possibilities are?
You are welcome to run any one of our demo pages through a checker (none are that small though), I was simply trying to explain that many checkers are looking for various things that are user side configurations and many include data points that are confusing and/or misleading based on how they are presented. Bottom line: certain checkers are fine, but they all produce different results based on the criteria they are analyzing.
Our demos are also full of heavy resources (images, etc) to showcase some of the many features that are available, and we are not using CDN’s or browser caching because of this. We do provide an extensive knowledge base article explaining some of the many user side configurations our customers can do post purchase: browser caching, CDNs, image compression etc. As you can see from the customer comment above, performance has and always will be a foundation in both our current and future development.
Cheers!
You are not answering my question. Why is it so hard to just answer my question? I need to know how many scripts are loaded and the page size when just loading a blank page (no footer / header)
Again. I went at your demo site, but there is not one (of the tons of demo’s) of just showing a blank page. Or am i missing it?
—-question…. SO you do not have a link to a blank page (no header, no footer) inside the theme, what should be no more than 263kb—350kb size and load under .96
That is correct…we do not have a blank page with no header or footer on our demos. Bare minimum, X will load 2 stylesheets, and 4 javascript files. We do offer multiple blank templates with those configurations but none that are in an actual demo. If you need anything further related to this, feel free to contact us, and I’ll be happy to connect you to one of our lead developers.
I am no techie or any expert but i am quite keen to get X-THEME but dont know how to start. Do i have to buy the hosting for this theme? How to make this theme go live?
i will appreciate your response.
Hi There,
You will need hosting to use X. I would suggest doing some research on the self hosted version of WordPress (wordpress.org) and hosting as you will need to understand how that works before using a theme.
Cheers!
hi, I am looking to purchase this theme over the theme fusion Avada theme. I am wondering if you as a company can tell me why you guys are beter than their theme. I am pretty persuaded towards avada with everything that comes with the package. Lastly, I want to buy the theme to build a one page paralax theme. would you tutorials on how to do that. Avada does,
Hi There,
We can’t provide specifics on other themes as we didn’t create them, however if you have any specific questions as it relates to X, we’ll be happy to assist. Be sure to check out the full list of our features as well.
You can build one page sites, and there is a parallax option within X.
