1) If I purchase the X Theme for our self hosted website, can I also install a version on my PC using WAMP to test/develop/transition content? 2) We are a non-profit/charity, do you offer any discounts to charities?

Integrity 2 question.
Homepage shows 2 menus (header and footer) http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/2/ Blogpage also shows 2 menus (sidebar and footer) http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/2/blog/The sidebar menu is different then the header menu.
How and where can I set the sidebar menu? In my settings the sidebar menu is the same as the header menu, which is useless because some of them are anchor links specially for one-pager home.

The best way to see what is possible out of the box with X would be to check out the demos. Anything required fuctionality wise beyond what you see in the demos and our features would require customizations on your end either through 3rd party solutions or custom development.

Quick question about the stores. I really like the renew theme but the Integrity shop style. Is it possible to have the stack as the renew theme and still do the integrity style store?

Thanks for writing in! The best way to think about Stacks is kind of like a “theme within a theme.” Just as you can only have one theme active in WordPress at a time and cannot mix styles and functionality across themes, the same is true for Stacks. Stacks merely provide you with multiple predefined sets of styles and functionality, but you can only use one at any given time.

I’m about to build a web site for a musician’s CD launch. I’m looking at http://www.wonderplugin.com/wordpress-audio-player/ as the audio player. Any idea if this will work with your theme or, do you know of a good player that will?

Thanks for writing in! Any well-coded plugin that adheres to WordPress best practices (as X does) should work with the theme without any problems. That being said, our support policy states that we cannot cover any issues that might arise due to the use of third party plugins. If you decide you want to move forward with this plugin and find that it is not “playing nice” with the theme, you will need to have the plugin developers take a look at things to sort it out, but as stated earlier, any well-designed plugin should work without any issues.
Additionally, if you haven’t seen them already, X includes dozens of various shortcodes with a couple of them being audio based. One supports self-hosted audio, while the other allows you to embed players from third party sources (you can see them in action here: http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/audio/). It looks like you’re after a playlist type setup, but if you can get away with it using single tracks like the self-hosted audio or audio embed solution, or perhaps can embed a third-party playlist, then you will likely have all you need with X out of the box!

We are definitely compatible with WooCommerce, however any extensions beyond that would be each customer’s responsibility as we can not provide support for extensions to extensions. If it is compatible with WooCommerce you should be good to go as WooCommerce is integrated to work with X.

As someone who is self taught HTML I moved to wordpress because it simplifies the process. I remember once hearing that using a good framework is the equivalent of 10,000 hours coding.
I’ve searched for a long time using Frameworks like Genesis, Yootheme, Thesis, Optimisepress, _s, Bones
Then onto Multi Purpose themes like Builder, Canvas, Divi and many others
I’ve finally found a theme that is not perfect but to date is the closest thing I have found.
Yes there is a learning curve like anything and yes there are and will always be bugs. What I love is that the support team are always on hand and its got the right people steering the ship. I am confident to use X and use it when I teach people how to build websites without code.
It’s the core Framework that we use not only at Online Mastery but also for all our clients and I just wanted to say thanks guys. I really appreciate all your hard work.

have you viewed this on a windows phone like a nokia 1520? It does not appear to view correctly!
Using this with Jetpack breaks the customizer, widgets page is also a white blank page and it seems registration is also broken. please advise.

I wanna set up my website like your integrity demo but i found out it’s difficult because with the standard method my content page editor become full of html code and background images that kinked to your theme.co website and I don’t have any control on them !!! And with the visual composer method many element are not imported so i have to import them manually which is ridiculous ! I got disappointed from your theme.

I’m building my first WP website and am interested in this theme, could you please answer the following:
Am I better to build the menu’s / pages etc first and them install X or would it be easier to do this after I have installed X, I currently just have a static site with around 300 pages?
Am I able to build complex enquiry forms using X or would an additional plug in be required?
I currently have payment tables which are generated with JQ and PHP based on figures in a DAT file, would I still be able to use these using PHP include after uploading them all in a single folder?

Hi Carl,
You can’t add menus to a theme that isn’t there, so you would need to install and activate the theme first before configuring your menus.
For forms we provide styling integration for both Contact Form 7 and Gravity Forms. It would be up to you to customize the functionality of those forms as needed, but there is styling support for them.
That final question would be for your developer as it has to do with a customization.

Thanks for the reply, the first question probably wasn’t worded correctly… I meant would I be better to create the pages (child pages, navigation menus, content etc) in WP with the standard Twenty Fourteen theme first and then install X or would it be easier to install X then and then create the pages (child pages, navigation menus, content etc)- Or does it not matter which way its done?

You’re welcome…I would definitely be using the final theme you plan to use when it comes to configuring menus, etc as X has menu options that other themes (like 2014) don’t have.

Could you recommend a plug in for newsletter signups that are compatible with X – I’ve been trawling the net for a while looking at tutorials and tons of themes/frameworks and this, hands down looks to be the most impressive I’ve seen by some margin… Thanks again!

I do not have a specific recommendation, however many customers simply take the provided code from their autoresponder company of choice and integrate it into the theme. We’re also working on some things behind the scenes related to this that will be announced in the coming months!
